Yooo, Soo IDGAF what anyone has to say, this was definitely the show of the friggin year. The whole room was a mosh pit, no one was safe. Everyone was crowd surfing and stage diving. It was complete chaos and pure pandemonium Chelsea Grin, Shadow Of Intent, Signs of the Swarm & Disembodied Tyrant all showed TF out. The canal club got rocked. History was made 🔥🔥🔥
Wonderful show!! I went with my friend, their mom, and their partner and it was so much fun.
I had heard of moon walker before, and had even heard a couple songs, but never much more than that, but once I left I added a ton of their songs to my playlist.
Great songs, important messages, beautiful writing, and funky sounds!
Had such an awesome time!!!!
First to Eleven were ON FIRE and it was incredible seeing them live for the first time ever! 🤘🔥🤘
The Canal Club was such a chill environment thanks to the dimmed, strobe lights, awesome bartenders and plenty of space to see the show from whatever angle.
I'll definitely have to come back again for future events!
Props to Daytona Beach 2000 and Brooke Surgener as well for putting on an EPIC performance and EXCELLENT vibes themselves :)
Got my record signed by everyone in the band, the artist of the cover, and got other bands to sign my bag. Some of the kindest people I've ever seen at a show like this. All the bands playing blew the doors off the hinges, the songs we're all beautifully written and sung, and plastic death is better live than on record don't @ me. I'd love for them to come back here, I'm sure to see them again!!
0/10, didn't play the hometown king WILL TOLEDO BABEYY, LAST NIGHT I RODE TO HARPER'S FERRY, AND I THOUGHT ABOUT Y
Matt is an incredible live vocalist and musician. I absolutely love how he changed up some of his songs for the live performance—singing new lyrics and highlighting background rhythms that seem to have gone unnoticed in his studio recordings. Matt’s setlist was wonderful, including his most popular songs as well as some new and old. His performance will be one I remember for the rest of my life. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to see my favorite artist in person, and I am so grateful the Canal Club was an excellent concert venue.
Performed worse than expected for where they were on the playbill. They did their own setup/breakdown and interestingly shared the same drum kit as Devil Master & Final Gasp. Right away the lead spat a huge mouthful of water before he started the set. Apparently they also didn’t quite have everything they needed as after the first song or two, the lead took the time to give someone a shoutout for giving them some needed ear plugs. For this band, the crowd was more enthusiastic and they had more interesting lights with a couple color changes. Their vocals are definitely heavy and not me tea but they were thankful to the crowd.
Not the “leave a review type” but I imagine it would’ve been awesome but they weren’t there! Scheduling error, but the show was still listed on several platforms. No biggie! These things happen, but yeah, there was no show! All good! Both the venue and the band responded very promptly and I was stoked about that.
All five of the bands that night were nice folks however their music selection was not quite my cup of tea. It also appeared like none of them took part in a sound check prior to starting the show. They all had to do quite a bit of tuning on stage and the intermissions took longer than the usual Canal Club 15 minutes. The stage is small so I understand they can't have all the kits built on stage however between breakdown, setup, tuning, & other preps, all the bands took excessively long.
This was my second time seeing them at the Canal Club! They are so so good live! Didn't wait outside but about an hour and got right up to the front at the stage. Touched Cody's hand five times and just had such a good time. Love all the openers, met them all afterwards!
Great time! The Canal Club is probably the best small-venue I've been to with clean restrooms, quick entry, and super nice staff. It is very small so if you want to bring kids, be aware it's loud with no real options to get away from the speakers. For the bands, they all performed well. Brand of Sacrifice had the heaviest set of the three though the crowds loved Erra & We Came As Romans more. WCAR performed for an hour and even played Darkbloom which features Brand of Sacrifice who actually came on stage as well!
3rd time seeing them this year. Saw them the night before in Greensboro, and in Asheville with the mountain goats. In the words of John darnielle, if you missed the opener tonight you really fucked up!
100%. Pool Kids put on one hell of a show. I can't wait to see them again and again !!
Third time seeing them this year !!
So incredible. I love origami angel, insiggy baby, and pool kids! I saw them in Greensboro the night before and had to follow them to Richmond the next night I didn't wanna miss out on the opportunity. So glad I did the crowd at this show had so much more energy, loved this venue the last time I went to it and I knew this show was gonna be lit af. Did not disappoint all 3 bands fucking killed it. I tried hard not to blow my whole load on inconsistent other, which honestly was too tough not to do, but by the end of pool kids' set my clothes were pretty much soaked through in my and everyone's sweat, spilled drinks, and whatever else. And origami angel absolutely fucking WENT OFF!! One of the best shows I've gone to all year. Love all 3 bands so fucking much thank you !!

Incredible.
One of the absolute best performances I've ever seen. So much energy, so much fun. Big shout-out to the drummer who filled in to allow the show to go on! He killed it.
Long time fan, first time seeing them live in-person. TB and Argyle put on one hell of a show. Long live the horror !!
Much love from chapel hill / carrboro.
They keep playing the same songs when Un verano sin ti has more song they didn’t play otro atardecer and enséñame a baile there más more that where missing Benito have 4 albums out and a lot of singles that they can choose from, that’s was the only problem that i see apart of that I have a great time with my friend I even made new friends there.
Security was wack. I got pulled off the crowed during wax poetic -capstan and told “not to stage dive” but I never stepped foot on stage. Two security guards also were blocking people from moshing and dancing. Other than over protective security crashing vibes. Solid f**king show. Being as an Ocean killed it as always. And Joel told me he loved me haha.
super fun, every band was interactive and great w the crowd and strangers we met were really cool w letting my friend and i be in front of them bc we’re pretty short! 😂 was my 5th time i think seeing sio and this was totally worth the hot day out 🌟🌟🖤
Slaughter to Prevail wearing the masks killed some of the sound. It was muffled, but they were overall pretty awesome. The rest of the bands were okay (not my normal genre). Also, to the Crunk Punk dude following them: CD wasnt half bad, but definitely need to hone your skills some more.
amazing! I held patty's hand once and touched his hand another time. ronnie gave me his guitar pick and I was able to touch his hand as well. afterwards I met ronnie, gave him art I did of him for his birthday, and he signed the hat I painted. love these guys 🖤
