Wow, what a night! The atmosphere was thick with emotion, you could literally feel the bass vibrating through your entire being. It was fascinating to see The Bug set up on the opposite side of the stage, and the band clearly relished this experimental setup. The audience was absolutely loving it too – a truly immersive and appreciated performance.
Honestly amazing experience, especially for my first concert! Honestly, I wish it had never ended.
I had the VIP Meet & Greet experience, and Carter is one of the nicest and most genuine people I've met, and even though there was about 8 people with the Meet & Greet, he still made time for each one of us. Carter also personally signed the VIP lanyard and a piece of clothing (brought or worn) for every member, including myself.
After the Meet & Greet, people started to come in, and the music in itself was breathtaking. Almost everyone in the crowd was singing along and enjoying themselves, and Carter even went out of his way to say some funny lines, making everyone laugh and smile, truly making the night perfect.
A brilliant show from Nick and Los Straitjackets. 90 minutes of wonderful songs, played exceptionally well, with minimal fuss and maximum professionalism. A real privilege to be in a small venue to listen to a legend who, as always, gives his audience exactly what they crave: songs that are always sharp, sometimes melancholy, but unfailingly brilliant.
Josh never disappoints. His music is effortlessly enjoyable, his performance consistently tight, and he also offers a refreshing line in dry humour and self-deprecation to the experience. If anything, his sound is almost too easy on the ear! The Garage remains a gem of a venue; intimate, full of character, and the perfect setting for an artist like Josh to truly connect with his audience. Simply wonderful.
AMAZING!! Considering it was the band's first time back in the UK that year, they played really well!! The involvement with us all was incredible, it was like one big happy family!!
Wilbur was so great with us as well, and some lucky souls even got to meet him!!
All in all, I loved the band. Every second was like a memory that will never be lost. Thanks Lovejoy xx <33

Last saw pitchshifter almost 24 years ago bar a few weeks at the Astoria in London, sadly long gone. What a great show, they’ve certainly all aged a bit but their explosive sound and raw energy is not lost!, can’t wait to see them again, a bit sooner rather than later I hope.
Chrissy and Voila were both excellent. Sharing the spotlight was odd but it really worked, with each act taking it in turns a few songs at a time. Chrissy showed she can more than do it on her own (and I love ATC), and Voila deserve to be household names. I was a little surprised but also really pleased that so many people turned out to see them. The place was rocking.
It's not a "what if" Chrissy, you are flying.

I had not seen The March Violets before, but they were excellent. They were full of drive and energy and they have a very unique style. Definitely worth seeing.
Cold in Berlin were the support and were excellent as always. Super tight and Maya's voice is a force of nature
courtney barnett has been in the UK playing mega stadiums as support act for Foo Fighters, and whilst she was here, she booked two club dates at the 600 capacity The Garage in Highbury Corner. They sold out very quickly, but I was lucky enough to bag a ticket, and early enough to bag a spot at the front on a very hot and sticky night. Fortunately the security were great, and spent most of the gig serving the front rows cups of much needed ice cold water. Courtney was on fine form, backed by her current band of Stella Mozgawa (from the band Warpaint) on drums, and long time bassist Bones Sloane, and played a 90 minute set to a rapturous reception, the passion of which clearly took her by surprise. The set was a mixture of old and new, leaning heavily on recent album 'Things Take Time, Take Time', but it was the oldies that got the biggest roars, like 'Avant Gardener', 'Depreston', 'Pedestrian At Best', Lance Jr, and 'History Eraser'. Courtney made her name as a clever-lyrics indie kid, but live, she showcases her guitar virtuosity, throwing shapes and wrenching sounds from her Fender Jaguar that would impress an 80's metal-head. The between songs banter is, as usual, unfiltered and witty, and this was a unique opportunity to see a major star in a small club venue. Then after a stunning encore of 'Nobody Really Cares if you don't go to the Party' it was all over. Unless you had tickets for night 2 of course!
Such an amazing event for their first time coming to the uk, the warm up acts were fantastic and having stopped listening to high regard since! One of the highlights was the fact that we got to meet everyone for free after the show ☺️ I can’t wait for the next time they come down again!
Geoff ‘s voice is still sensational. He always has brilliant stage presence. His musicians always play the songs perfectly. Venue was good too. & support acts. Only criticism - don’t do it on a Sunday in London. Last transport back home is hard to find. It means you have to miss encores past 10:45
Zakk never fails to deliver an a amazing performance and set. If you get chance to see them do it! Just mind blowing. I was lucky enough to see both Birmingham and London shows and was beyond a dream.
I even got to take home his stage played guitar used that memorable night at The Garage show.
The Sheepdogs were absolutely amazing, as were Creatures I’m told but we missed them unfortunately. The sound was excellent, surprising considering the amount of instrumentation on the stage. The vocals strayed on occasion but in general the music was 100% and the input 110%. The only downer was a small amount of drunken behaviour from a bunch of yobs during the encore. This was forgotten when we met the band at the back door. 😎
oh my goodness the night was so good, the support act was amazing i loved her, ruel was absolutely amazing he really put on a show i loved it, i’d definitely go back to the venue as it was easily accessible and no problems with the inside, definitely recommend seeing ruel!!! 💛💛
Wonderful show, great music and powerful stage presence... Love this band so much. New album dropped today and it has both the songs I loved at this gig and also at Meltdown last year... Must listen! The support act (KOYO) was great too, nice little discovery.
Good gig but an obnoxious crowd. Camera phones on selfie sticks with no regard for the paying audience. Seriously rude barging at the stage and the merch stall. Daddy, your daughter could teach you some manners Samantha has an awesome voice, serious guitar skills and most of all, in public she's a lovely person. She loves her fans and treats them right, even the rude ones.
SUCH a good concert, the venue made it feel like a really intimate gig and the band were all such lovely people who seemed genuinely grateful that we’d all shown up, something you don’t often see from artists in concert these days. Will DEFINITELY go and see again!
There was a time when The Low Anthem were (for me) one of the best bands in the world. There are few acts that achieve such a strong bond with their audience. Their last two albums have been less appealing than some of their earlier work, but they are to be applauded for not standing still, for experimenting and evolving their music and sound - not fossilising it. An evening with The Low Anthem is never an evening wasted.
They put on such a great show and are the nicest people ever. They came out and talked to the fans for like over an hour, genuinely cared about our experience, made conversation, took so many pictures and videos and didn't want to leave us. Even though they were getting told off for not leaving, they kept coming back to say goodbye over and over again and kept giving us hugs. Also they sound JUST like on their records
