One of the best gigs Ive been to. Sound quality✅ Great venue. The mosh grew bigger as the night went on. The crowd was one big unit of human goodness. Such a great vibe in the room. Band was relentless and left nothing in the tank. “Here we, here we, here we fkn go”. Did not disappoint. Never miss The Reytons.
Been 5 years. since last concert here in Sydney and what a show. New guitarist Donny Burbage and Zoe Marie Federoff on keys. were excellent and fitted in nicely. The band has certainly upped their game since last tour with a great performance.
Buckcherry were awesome. It's great when the sound guy has done a good job and the energy the band display is the same as the energy in their videos. Was one of the best shows I've been to for a long time.
sound was a bit off, but the show was fantastic.
As a person with a disablility, I was so amazed at the service from The Metro to cater for people like me. I never got the name of the guard, but there was one that walked every person to the accessibility area and nothing seemed to be too much for him. The whole night was made so much better by this attention to detail, they venue made sure people with extra needs had the chance to really enjoy the show and were never made to feel like a burden.
Great show! Awesome feel good vibes, absolutely rock steady musically with inventive r&b grooves. Just needed more people and maybe a tad more guitar in the mix. Definitely get to one of their gigs and load them up on your turntable.
best concert ever! tilly birds are such a great band. all night they were such great performers who love singing and playing as a band. they don’t have a single song that i would skip. wishing the night was longer. and i hope they can come back to sydney later!
Music was great but it’s the first gig where I honestly thought the crowd sucked. Not everyone obviously but there were a fair few really rude people at the front who just seemed to want to be at the front just to say they were… they just… stood there? Like if you’re at the front, up against the fence, taking prime spot… at least idk, jump, scream, sing along? Look like you’re enjoying it? They just literally… stood there. And got really defensive and angry when you bumped into them??? Like, it’s a god damn crowd go stand at the back and let actual fans enjoy it from the front, don’t just stand there as tho you’re being paid to film the whole thing and get shitty when ppl are trying to enjoy themselves. Bit of a rant but they really ruined the experience for me, they had a terrible attitude. I’ve been probably 30+ crowds for metal gigs and it’s the first time I’ve ever felt like that.
Sounded tight. Played the songs I wanted to hear. Newer songs of course were more commercial but that’s to be expected. My main gripe is about the “stage show”. I get that it’s the norm nowadays for bands….particularly guitarists to go direct with digital modelers rather than using amps on stage. When a band from Sweden plays Australia cartage is expensive. It makes sense not to lug hundreds of pounds of amps across the world with you to save costs. However Katarina’s stage consisted of a half dozen Marshall full stacks - that’s nearly fifty 12” guitar speakers. I’m willing to bet all but one of these cabinets were an empty shell with no speakers inside and were merely for “show”. If a foreign act is going through the effort to put on a stage show by renting a dozen Marshall cabs then why don’t they actually have the balls to do it for real? Rent another three power amps and plug them in!
Keith was in amazing form, however, we could’ve done without Dimitri’s constant earsplitting synth and theremin noise. We couldn’t even hear what Keith was trying to say between tracks! Aside from that, it was great to see Mario back on the drums and Autry Fulbright II is the best replacement for Steven McDonald they could’ve got. He’s incredible!
Candlebox on their 30th anniversary tour (actually they’ve been a group for 32 years), 1st and last time in Aussie on a short 4-day run…caught them for the 1st time in Omaha late last year, and again last night here in Sydney before heading up north to start my racing in the blazing heat and humidity…they were hands down excellent, not missed a beat in all this time, and incredible how Kevin can still hit all those notes with such energy…can’t blve I never made it a point to catch them live after all these years…they released their 1st album my freshman year in college…very special memories…lead singer’s wife is Australian, but the band could never find a promotor to bring them over here in all this time…guess they are finding out what they missed (like me) live on these tour dates!!

It must have been about the 4th time I've seen The Bronx live and they've never let me down once. High energy as always, just a rockin' time (even on a Sunday)
Also, The Metro is one of my favourite venues to see bands and they did the job again.
Out of the 26 concerts I've been to this year this was my most anticipated and by far the best show!
The set list was fantastic, the band so entertaining and engaging!
Avatar is one of my favourite bands and they do not disappoint!!!!
10000/10 would go see again!
I was here, 27th May. I'd never heard of Autopsy before this night.
This main guy's voice blew me away to the point of tears.
My wife loves this band. My wife was right.
P.S. this was in Wollongong Uni Bar. Not Metro Theatre <3
Okay…I was really looking forward to this show, not least to finally live see our Aussie girls The Beautiful Monument.
Unfortunately for the lasses, their mix was off…vocals did not come out that well, and lead guitar was too quiet.
D.R.U.G.S. Well, they really stole the show for me. Never seen them live before and only just discovered them. They were fantastic. Absolutely blew me away.
Escape The Fate: for me, they were okay (sorry, trying to follow that performance from D.R.U.G.S. was always going to be tough in my book). Rhythm section was very tight and the standout, and lead guitarist was pretty good as well. Vocal mix not quite right, but engaging performance from the leading man, and they certainly had the fans going off.
A special highlight was the crowd getting into Bohemian Rhapsody during the intermission between D.R.U.G.S. and ETF.
So all round, 3 stars…a good night out. The Metro Theatre is always a great place to be on a Friday night…super venue, great staff!
Absolutely brilliant concert from 2 insanely talented young ladies. The rest of the band were tight and they had a great sound mix (just right)…probably the best concert I have been to at The Metro! Great venue, friendly staff and a great vibe from the enamoured audience. Will definitely see these gorgeous ladies again!
There was a lot of love at this concert. Great show playing a range of hits from both albums and some new stuff. Great crowd response and a long show gave everyone what they wanted. The sound mix could have been a little better would be my only negative comment.
I saw them back in 2018 at the manning bar and I saw them last night at metro theatre. They were good at the manning bar but they blew that night away with last night's performance. The chanting, the singing. It was brilliant. The fans were right into it from the start and I enjoyed every second of it.
Thank you Arch Enemy for coming to sydney and putting on a epic show. I can't wait to see use next time 🤘🤘
Amazing show all the bands did amazing jobs and they were all so friendly just to get selfies with them and caught make them suffer drum stick best night I had in a long time staff at metro theatre did amazing job would recommend seeing and going again
1000000000/10
Great concert by Steve and the boys. They played for a really long time which was great. I loved The Metro when I was in my 20's but would prefer some seating now. Also, the internal bar was closed which wasn't great.
It didn't stop me enjoying the night and loving The Church.
The opening bands were fantastic and really got the mood going. The main event was so much fun and they played really well and sounded great. Wasn't expecting a mosh pit to start and everyone in it was having a good time. I would see them live again.
