The SoapGirls were great as expected. I do have a few gripes about the venue, though. First, there was only supposed to be one support band, but another one was added in before The SoapGirls went on the stage. While the support bands were pretty good, this pushed The SoapGirls show late - in fact, right up until closing. The support bands should have been scheduled earlier. The venue is arranged in an odd way -- the main bar is in one room and the concert room is in another presumably for ticket control. The rooms are separated by a patio. The concert room is really small -- about the size of my hotel room which made the show crowded.
These guys started the Texas leg of their tour in Dallas!! Man, this is country music the way it was meant to be played. Just a TERRIFIC evening of traditional honky tonk music. Josh and the guys are SO friendly. They even played a request I'd submitted a few months before, If they come to your area, do yourself a favor and go see them!!!
Great venue. Awesome staff. Awesome crowd. Opening act was great. Really fun and good energy. MC Chris was on top of his game. Really interactive with the crowd, funny, and fun. All around excellent time. If you get the chance, go see him (and Crunk Witch)
Kinsley August put on a great show at Double Wide! He brought the whole band with him, and their sound was fantastic. Kinsley sings, plays guitar parts, and was even on the keyboard last Friday. It was a lot of fun - check'em out!
Feel fortunate to have seen a show at his hometown bar. The vibe was fantastic. Loved the banter he had w the band, and with the bartender.
My favorite was when he told everyone to order a frozen margarita and the bartender yelled back, “knock it off with that s**t!” Disappointed I didn’t get a s**y after dark T-shirt. Hope they’ve got them when they play Knuckleheads in Kc in December. Definitely going
The duo produces so much amazing sound. Kendra and Nate are incredible artists, they put on a great show every time they're in town. I highly recommend this band.
