I got front row! It was amazing and honestly the best show I have ever seen. I was able to buy a signed poster! He let us know when tree birds would come out and played some cover songs. Ex. Folsom prison blues and house of the rising sun. This guys gonna be big😁
Greg Dulli and Christopher Thorn tore it up onstage and rocked so hard, with John Curley laying down the loudest baselines and Nelson ripped the strings off of his violin. Ed Harcourt did some virtuosic work on the piano as well, letting Greg do his thing at the microphone. It was an amazing show!
The lucky strokes show was well done but the New Mastersounds headline show was just hot fire!! Arguably one of the best live bands in music today. The New Mastersounds are a machine, a funk juggernaut and when they are locked in the groove there is no one better. See them, tell your friends, be enlightened.
AWESOME SHOW!!! Amazing performance, incredible musicians, super cool artwork—GO SEE THEM NOW! Buy all of their shirts (please save me hoodie if you see one). If you only ever see one live show, make it this one—rock and roll is so lucky to have these extremely hard working, talented women, and on this leg, their sassy DBGC cohorts, who are a comparably ebullient force to behold. So. Much. FUN!!! Don’t miss out.

Travelled from the UK to see them as they were appearing on my birthday so planned a mini break around the gig. The venue amazing so much history. Staff really good. A little disconcerting to be asked for photo I.d. when very obvious we are way over the age of 21! They are only doing their job we appreciate that. Anyway I digress.
The Struts as always never fail to impress and so happy that they were performing on my birthday. From start to finish they gave 100%and more they had the audience eating out of their hands. I'd forgotten that they end the gig with the only fools and horses theme.... we were singing and dancing and the rest of the audience looked at us as though we were rather odd. But we thought it was funny and finished the gig off. Can't wait to see you in the UK guys. Stay safe and see you across the pond soon. Don't give up ever you are all amazing and totally agree you should be playing arenas as headliners. Keep going the fan base is getting bigger and there were a few that had never seen you before.... they will definitely be back to see you again.....
Finally got the chance to see them, and they did not disappoint! So glad they worked out their differences because what they create is pure magic. Cevin Key are Nivek Ogre are legends and it was a pleasure watching them work.
RIP Dwayne Goettel, your presence was missed but your spirit was felt. We miss you!
The Dandy Warhols were great. The show was a mix of old and more later songs, and it is great that they are not trying to copy themselves. Even their most popular songs sounded very fresh and represent the current musical trend if the band. Liked the energy of all the band members.
The Black Angels part of the show was a real torture. Music was fine sometimes, but the main vocalist... It would be better if he just played the bass. Will avoid live shows of them in future.
first of all, George was hardly featured and when he was it sounded tired and uninspired. Second, the opening act was pretty bad. I wasn't sure if it was the terrible, muddy sound system or they just played out of tune. The vocalist was compelling, though. Galactic was interesting and had some very good pieces, but again, the sound system was muddy which made it hard to distinguish the different instruments. The crowd was enthusiastic and I got some good dancing time in. I like the venue. h
The Fillmore is a fantastic place to see and hear a band. Sound system, sound level and mix were excellent. Lights were fine. Short wait times at the bar. I gave this only 4 stars for the following reasons: this was not a Jon Cleary (or George Porter) show as Bandsintown implied. This was a Galactic show where Jon and George sat in for 3-4 songs each. The Absolute Monster Gentlemen were not part of the program. The warmup act was very solid but nobody announced them and I still don’t know the name of the band. Nobody announced Galactic either; they just wandered onstage and waved. Despite long cheers from the crowd the band did not play an encore so everything wound down before 11 pm. There was an afterparty upstairs that I never saw promoted but might have purchased a ticket to had I known about it. All that said, it was fantastic to see Jon if only for a few songs and can’t wait for him to return to the Bay area with the Gents.
The show was beyond my expectations! That bassist, Coleman I think, was freaking awesome! Talk about energy!! The stage show was unbelievable! No spoiler alerts here, other than that. As the first stop of the tour, Static-X raised the bar for the rest of the tour. I had VIP tickets and it was cool to meet the guys. I attended the show a fan of Dope. I left the show being a fan of Static-X. Thank you, Gentlemen. You absolutely gained a fan. See you next time.
Venue is great, lots of space, bathroom was mostly clean, all the staff were awesome.
As for the bands, they were definitely superb, especially Static-X. It was my first time seeing them live , a regret that I have since I never saw them before Wayne's unfortunate passing. I nonetheless enjoyed every minute of the show and the Static-X gang are doing an incredible job of keeping both the band and Wayne's legacy alive.
It was awesome being around other metalheads and freaks and The Fillmore is a great place for watching live performances of the greatest musical genre ever............METAL.
Been seeing Ani since 2003 and she is always fantastic. Last night's show was really great and strongly heartfelt. She did nice cross section of songs including some stuff, old gems and of course some fan favorites. The thing I love about seeing Ani perform is you never know what it will get? A solo show, a full band, maybe some brass? Last night was Ani and her drummer Terrence Higgins. Fantastic Duo set!!! Ani is one of my favorite live guitar players just because of her style and her energy level. She is live and in motion the whole time. Ani ROCKS!
Citizen Cope blew my mind last night like I knew he would. Soulful, spiritual, full of love, kind, grateful, engaging & an incredible display of musicianship. His music is filled with emotion that makes you feel so alive when you listen to it. He’s truly one of the best.
Over the last 25 years I’ve seen Doug and all of his great lineups play one outstanding show after the next. I’m not sure if it was sort of a collective celebration for everyone to be out seeing live music after a couple years of torture … but this was literally the best Built to Spill performance I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to hear what’s next to come out on Sub Pop later this fall… 🕺🏼!!
A psychedelic mind melt of epic proportions. This band was absolutely mesmerizing to watch and hear live both times that I've seen them- Aftershock 2018 and present. They've found a perfect balance between polishing up their production and visuals while maintaining the grit and grime that made me fall in love with them to begin with. True artists through and through. Genuine. Heavy. Beautiful
Piebald was amazing and definitely got the audience into a hyped mood. It seemed like there was quite a long time before DC took the stage, but it was absolutely worth the wait. HANDS DOWN the coolest show I’ve been to in a while. DC played everything you’d want to hear at a 20 year celebration. My only regret is not buying tickets for the second night.
...another fantastic show, and Blue Rose Benefit🥰...also love that you had some great new merch!...was thrilled to purchase the Throckmorton show CD, as I was unable to get an invite/ticket (a belated happy birthday)...
...couldn't pass up the signed 2-CD set of JG and the Modern Lives Band from the Fillmore, as that show was a wonderful emotional ride🤩....
....and can never pass up the show's poster- especially when signed by all the performers.👌💜🙏
The show was amazing and super energetic and a girl fell on top of me while crowd-surfing and I twisted my ankle the crowd was wild this year! My mom doesn't want to take me next year😂😭 but other than that wallows we're extremely talented and put on a outstanding show!💕
OMFG THIS WAS THE HEST CONCERT I’VE BEEN TO THE BASS WAS SO LOUD I COULD FEEL IT IN MY BONES AND EVERYONE WAS BOUNCING THE FLOOR DIDN’T EVEN FEEL SOLID. THE VENUE WAS SO PRETTY AS WELL AND YOU WOULDN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING CLOSE CAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SOLD OUT EVERYONE WAS STILL CLOSE
They played a different set from Friday night. Even went back to the rebellious days with Yell Fire. Loved the Glide Memorial choir, they brought a fantastic spirt to the room. The good Reverend can really dance. I’m gonna miss Victoria Canal. I’d like to wish her good luck on her new album.
