Kassi Ashton was incredible! Corey Kent brought the crowd to their feet. The rain tried to keep Parker off the stage, but he brought it! It was such a beautiful venue - my first time there. I was in town for a wedding, and when I found out Parker was playing red rocks, I changed my flight to return on Monday and got tickets to be part of thr sold out crowd on Sunday. I had seen him at Stagecoach in 2023, but I have been wanting to see him again. He did not disappoint! You go, gold chain cowboy!
What an amazing show! They played with huge energy for over two hours! There was some classic Sammy, tons of Van Halen songs including some that were pre-Sammy. Joe Satriani covered the songs well and performed "Satch Boogie" while Hagar took a break. They did one song from Montrose - "Space Station #5" that I was not very familiar with.
Sammy handed out cups of Tequila during the warm up to Mas Tequila. And went to the rail in front of the stage and was high-fiving and hugging people during "When It's Love".
At one point Sammy said something like - can you feel it, can you feel that, that invisible energy that's here? in a reference to Eddie. And at the start of "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" Mikey said "This one's for Eddie"
If you're on the fence about going - GO. You will not be disappointed.
The show was awesome, Nas killed it with the song selection and his performance was excellent! The two things that weren't all that great were the lights and the sound mixing. They had these super bright lights on stage facing the crowd that were basically blinding at times, had no idea why they would make lights not face down on the stage and face them in the eyes of the crowd, that was dumb. And when the orchestra was playing it was very hard to hear the beat and even the rhythm was hard to make it at times. I understand that mixing the sound of dozens of instruments must be extremely challenging but you think they would have time to rehearse that beforehand? All in all it was a great show but I couldn't hear the music that well for half of the show.
I see a lot of shows, so please know that I don't say this lightly - this was the best show I've ever been to.
Tobe Nwigwe was perfect. I have no doubt that he's going to blow up in the next few years and start selling out arenas, so I feel very lucky to have gotten to see him here, in a smaller venue and a setting that feels a little bit magical. He has a charming stage presence and makes smart, interesting choices with his music. His energy was electric. If the show ended here I would have still been so moved by what I saw that I would have put it in a top 3 all time best shows list.
But then Nas. Holy shit. The arrangements were beautiful, the conductor and CSO absolutely brought it, and Nas just spit fire the entire time. His breath control and energy level would have been impressive at sea level but up here they were god-tier. And speaking of gods - between the setting and the show it felt like I was watching one of the GOATS perform for the old gods. I felt so lucky just to be here.
I will think about this show for the rest of my life. What an honor to be present. What a show.
The only way it would have been better is if I had my pre-multiple sclerosis mobility.
But the limitation provided accessibility accommodations better than I have had at ANY venue except my house.
My visibility was unobstructed. There was a chair with a back on it. THERE WAS A DESIGNATED BATHROOM!!!!!! and water refill station. Two in our party have bladder/bowel issues. This limitation usually causes much of any event or venue to be missed just for lengthy trips to find a restroom and then wait in the line.
A free tee shirt, signed by the band would have made it better. The much lines were too long to stand in.
My address if you do have any commemorative merch to send or want more review of the two improvements I can see.

This is my 6th time seeing Kaleo and I was underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, I thought the show was good, but the bar was set the last time at Red Rocks. There were back up singers who were fantastic and the vibe was so much stronger at that one. I still love the band, but I was a little disappointed with the energy compared to the year before with the back ups. Outside of their homeland and maybe a festival where they are the back up, Red Rocks is probably the most people they play in front of that came specifically for them. Also, I was underwhelmed with the backup band both at Dillon and Red Rocks. I was bored with both. Great vocals but at least give us some drums for a beat I can get into. Ballads are boring and that's all I heard at both concerts. I'm a huge fan.
Nile Rodgers and Chic were absolutely amazing! So many songs he has written and produced that many fans weren't aware of! Not only did they play what we would expect to hear, but so many other famous toe-tapping tunes! What a way to start the evening!
Then came Bastille... and honestly, I only knew of them through others... but I very much enjoyed their set, as well, and will be looking up their music to download. What a treat they were!
Finally, Duran Duran comes down in a virtual spaceship and blew everyone away! Followed by "Hungry Like the Wolf" and a host of other 80s hits, intermingled with later music and their newest soon-to-be hits, the musical talent and showmanship is unrivaled. And to say that they haven't missed a beat is an understatement! Not one note was in error. Everything was spectacular, and I can only say that I hope they were recording for a future live video release!
Ultimately, Red Rocks is the absolute best venue in the world! This was my first time to visit, and it did NOT disappoint! Even the 15-minute rain shower couldn't dampen anyone's spirits!
All in all, the entire experience was one not to be forgotten, and it never will be!
I love the band and their music, but it just wasn’t a great show. It was short, and the band really didn’t interact much with each other. It just felt like another show in a grind of shows that they are doing night after night. They kinda mailed it in. I don’t know if this was just a bad night, but most acts are pretty stoked to play Red Rocks, it is an iconic venue. The Strokes didn’t play like they were at Red Rocks, they were just kinda meh, to be honest. I am glad that I went, but will probably skip them if they come by again.
The show was interrupted by a serious hail and thunderstorm (not that unusual in CO in July!), and instead of limiting the Railroad Earth portion (2nd band), they were allowed to play a long set. When BT finally played, storms returned, and we heard only a couple of BT songs + some covers before the show was ended. John Hopper is an amazing performer and managed a quick switch of his harmonica mid-song, even when it was reported he was not feeling well. We plan to go to their Flagstaff show at the end of July so we can hear a full set.🤞
What an awesome evening. Lineup was fantastic from start to finish, and of course Red Rocks never disappoints.
Molly Tuttle & The Golden Highway were great and provided a nice contrast with their upbeat bluegrass sounds.
Charles Wesley Godwin was amazing, with a tight band and melodies and lyrics that have me searching them out and adding to playlists.
Shane Smith & The Saints were all I wanted and more. So sound musically and engaging with the crowd, a phenomenal show by a phenomenal band. Have told everybody I can that these guys are not to be missed if in your area, or consider making them a destination concert.
It was the best concert I've been too! Listening to his great music and a great venue was incredible. It was almost surreal how you could see the stage and the beautiful Colorado horizon behind it. It was cool to see lighting in the background as Cody Jinks was singing Loud and Heavy! Seeing Clint Black and Ward Davis and how all three came out in each other's set was awesome. I loved how Cody Jinks brought his family out to sing with him on songs he wrote about them. I will definitely go to another show! Especially if it's at Red Rocks again!
Jackson came out "on time", like he always does, with a fantastic smile and telling the audience how happy he and the band are to be at Red Rocks on the last night of his tour and that he and the band have "saved" special energy to really put on a special show.
He sounds AMAZING, just like he sounded in his early days, and he shared comments like, "this next song is 50 years old"! He played his Heart out and sang so perfect, like the perfectionist that he has always been. What a true blessing for me to be in his presence and "soak in" the meaning of his words in all his iconic songs and listen to his comments on why he wrote the particular song that he was playing next!
He truly is a First Class Songwriter and Artist and I'm truly Blessed to feel the "soulful" experience listening to him sing "Live", and watch his emotions of Joy that he expressed with his love for performing.
The audiovisuals were so cool to see on the big stage and the setlist was well done with a mix of slow and faster songs, a few old and mostly newer. The finale of "I Know The End" was a screaming smoke machine lightshow curtains on fire type of wild, which was super cool to see at a venue like Red Rocks. Her choosing an encore from suggestions from the crowd and landing on "Waiting Room" was also heartbreaking in the best way and I had it on repeat the rest of the week.
The show itself was amazing, Turnpike Troubadours never disappoint! However the seating was very confusing. General admission and assigned seating was sold for the show. But there was not signage or any direction for either. We ended up sitting in the wrong area and one of the attendants that was working the show helped us clarify and she explained that is was very confusing, was not marked well, and others were confused as well. When we moved to the correct area there was no where to sit or stand. We had to squeeze in a very small area. I've been to red rocks a decent amount of times and this is the first disappointing time. I do look forward to seeing more shows there, I just hope there is a better way to inform people of the different seating areas.
The quality of the show was excellent. Whomever managed the side-stage videography did an amazing and creative job. Every band member was featured in some way which was also appreciated. So much talent. My only complaint was the length of time that Kaleo played. Total, with encore, they play for one hour and ten minutes. SO much anticipation over the last two years....I feel like they could have done more to satisfy their audience by playing for at least another 20 - 30 minutes. The venue, weather, city lightscape, and moon were all incredible.
I didn’t know we would read each other minds and have the same Halloween make up on. Blew my mind with the jewels and blue eye shadow, because I don’t hardly ever do my make up. 🤯 paid $224 for a single seat “pretty sure I was the only human that went by myself” and traveled 11 almost 12 hours to the Red Rocks from Winslow, Arizona with me, myself and I, to see the opening concert for These Things Happen Too!!! I loved it. Next stop is hopefully Vegas on the 29th because I have to drive that way anyways. Maybe we will catch each other on the highway to hell, or sin city. Whatever works 🤔 🤣🤣 rumors have it G is paying in Tucson, if that’s a fact I’ll be there also 💪🏻✌🏻
My first time seeing Anderson East. He was AWESOME. Very surprised. We traveled from STL to see The Revivalists. Michael was just an added nugget to a great concert.
I had tickets to see him here in the Lou at a very small venue called the Sheldon with Foy Vance.
They ended up canceling due to Foy having a personal tragedy. We were able to see The Revivalists again here on March 10th at The Pageant. 2 days later their tour was shut down by COVID.
Anderson East was to be in June I think and would have been canceled.
Can't wait to see him again. Get his Alive in Tennessee. Great CD!!!
Amazing event. Tash is the most positive, happiest performer ever. She bounces around the stage with such love and joy. Her blend of technical proficiency on a variety of instruments (especially her guitars) combined with her raw emotional energy really shines through live. Red Rocks was the perfect venue to see this extraordinary talent. The tone of her guitar sounded so crisp and clean. Every note she played and sang resonated beautifully. She also draws a lovely, friendly crowd who are happy to share in the experience. And Tash’s humor and friendly personality draws everyone together in a special way. The show was pure magic.
It was not there fault. It was really cold and wet and there should have been one opener.
Nothing against them but I was not in a festival mood and by the time one of my favorite bands Interpol went on my ears were tired and I was soaking wet.
They brought it but I did not stay for their whole set. Too cold. I’m blessed to have seen them for many years, but bummed their first Red Rocks experience was not like it should have been.
I hope they will be invited back because they Interpol are magic. Oi!
This was not only my favorite of his shows, it is now officially my favorite concert in the last 50 years.
It was profoundly musical, the arrangements flowing naturally, the instrumentation densities and volumes changing constantly like the very best classical and jazz ensembles and the overall design of the event itself masterfully aesthetic.
His humor is wry and sneakily hilarious and endearing and heartbreaking. His generosity and obvious love and admiration for each spectacular band member bathed the stage in a warmth that I believe only he can create.
His utterly humanistic yearning is my new totem pole around which I’ll dance forever.
