The Garrison

Drove in from Montreal to finally see live the most incredibly talented singer, songwriter and guitarist of this era, Dylan LeBlanc. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A really unique Americana rock voice. Phenomenal show at an intimate, welcoming setting. Excellent musicianship from a full band, including the world famous James LeBlanc, bassist and Dylan’s dad. Extended versions of songs with electrifying guitar solos. Dylan is an entertaining storyteller and had us laughing between performances. He loves to connect with his fans as he is so warm and friendly. A special highlight of the evening was meeting him after the show, exchanging meaningful words, and having him sign a copy of his 10 year special anniversary vinyl edition of “Cautionary Tale.” I hope to have the opportunity to see Dylan again real soon as I can’t get enough - Monica Hotter.

Great show. The band had excellent energy and I love Carmen’s voice, which is reminiscent of the great Dolores O’Riordan. Hope they don’t wait another 8 years before coming back.

Absolutely fantastic experience and so lovely to talk with. Definitely a one-in-a-lifetime experience, you need to go if you get the chance.

What Adrienna did last night was a testament to her commitment to her artistry, their fans and Seven Spires. With perhaps only 40% of her voice intact due to some sort of throat infection, she still performed to the best of her ability with help from their sound guy (kudos), and Seven Spires just made me love them even more. I pray she and the boys return soon at 100% because if this is what they are like with a handicap. I'm gonna need more stars to rate them next time. First time live viewing=lifelong fan. I just wish that I was able to grab a vinyl. 😞

First time seeing them live. An incredible, engaging performance. Melissa had us in the palm of her hands the entire time. There is such positive energy that emits from the entire group, you can't help but smile. They did what I would have considered impossible before: engaging Toronto metal fans to dance, and they did. I have the video evidence. Would see them again. 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨 out of 5 metal hammers.

This was my first time seeing LAKE. They were great. The band members were really friendly. I got to talk to all three of them before the show.

Didn’t get the chance to go last year, but I’m so glad to have made it this time! Benet has an amazing voice and was the perfect opener. Daisy the Great sounds just as good, if not better, than their recordings. Their performance had so much energy and passion and they really connected with the audience. And they played all of my favourite songs!! 10/10, would go again. Hopefully they return for their next tour :)

First band Summoning The Linch meh wasn’t interested in them, Skeletal Remains played amazing even without vocalist (Cuz he didn’t have his passport with him) Allegaon Wasn’t interested in them either, Warbringer after 6 years Finally back in Toronto Absolutely amazing! Stole the show even for a small venue (The Garrison) So 5 and a half stars for me

Great show I had an amazing time at Xana's show at The Garrison! Its a small venue but it made for a great atmosphere. Xana's performance was fantastic, and meeting her beforehand was a treat—she's so nice! Overall, it was a wonderful night filled with great music. Highly recommend seeing her live, ill be doing it again as soon as i have the opportunity 💜

The opening act was interesting. Kat Duma. Ms. Sadier was all right. I’m not a huge fan of some of her most recent work but it left me intrigued.

Karwa put on an amazing show at the Garrison, exceeding all my expectations. The band had an electric energy about them throughout the entire show, and the venue itself was quite intimate with a well mannered crowd. The sound quality was quite good for a smaller venue like this and the music coordinated lighting was really well done. Overall, this show was a 5/5 stars for me!

Signs of the Swarm is absolutely incredible live. Musically I give them 5 stars. They were so heavy and sounded crystal clear, vocals were nuts. To the Grave is one of my favourite bands, but their live performance left me underwhelmed. The vocals were not as crazy as the record and it just didn’t come together that well. My issue with the show was the crowd/atmosphere to be honest. As someone who rips as many Deathcore and death metal shows as possible the vibe was just odd last night. Maybe because it was a Tuesday and the weather was s****y. No coat check in late November AND heat on in a sold out venue definitely took it out of people. Energy just felt rather low. The pit was also not filled with nearly as many people as shows of this size/caliber typically bring. Lots of h******e guys doing too much arm swinging and s**t. Plus some annoying crowd killing at first. Not my style. I prefer a more shoulder/bumpy pit. Openers: Pillars of Autumn wowed me with their guitars, symphonic s**t, and just overall were amazing. But Cruel Intent, wow! Chef’s kiss. Who knew they ripped like that. The boys are going places for sure, but right now it’s nice to see the local Ontario Deathcore scene with this many heavy-hitters!

Just seriously incredible. Des takes up the stage like no one else, and puts on a hell of a show. One of my favorite shows ever.

Saw Jesse the last time in town at the Dakota Tavern (Nov 2022 - see attached pic) and he didn't disappoint then and didn't once again for this show. Love a musician who just looks like he is having a blast playing music and loving the crowd's response. Great energy, great sound, venue was spacious to move around and everyone seemed into the show. Great job and look forward to catching you again when you come west (don't make it too long as your sound is excellent!).

Second time seeing Lowdown, the first in NOLA, and they didn't disappoint! Such great energy, so much fun. It was my first time at The Garrison and I relaly enjoyed it; great intimate space to see bands.

Wow, great sound at the Garrison last night. Wasn't too loud so you could hear all the words to the song. caught bodega a few weeks earlier and it was too loud in comparison.

Great live performance! Hard chugs and amazing runs on the saxophone. You could feel the bass at this show, can’t beat it 🤘

Kick a*s show at The Horseshoe on Tuesday. I actually got to meet Bennie from the band at the merch table before the show, what a great down to earth guy. I can't wait till they come back to Canada...Skegss Rule.
