This was my first ever concert so I'll preface by saying I have NO experience to compare it to, but that being said, I can say that it was a blast, I had a ton of fun and it was overall an incredible experience. As I'd imagine for most bands it's best to get there very early just so you don't have to worry about waiting to get in, meaning you can go to the merch shop with a relatively small line as compared to being in the back and waiting for 45 minutes or possibly much longer. The fans were incredible and overall very nice. Both bands had INCREDIBLE stage presence and knew perfectly how to keep the crowd hyped and having fun, this should also go without saying but the song selection was incredible, truly their best songs from various albums and what not. Was an AMAZING experience nd I hope they come back to Florida relatively soon, I'm 100% going again.
I loved everything about this show from the amazing lineup to the venue to the security and band crews. It was such a positive experience all around! The band crews could not have been nicer to barricade and the barricade security provided by the venue were all very courteous and polite. They constantly passed out waters and kept on top of crowd surfers like real pros. I have engaged with some outright awful and mean as hell barricade security so I appreciated these guys so much. The venue was clean and well-staffed and the bands, the best lineup I’ve seen at Jannus!!!
Great show in the middle of the weird weather. So glad to see BMB on the east side of the country and they delivered. Haven't seen VGS this close to home in a while and they seemed even faster in person. Mustard Plughit all the highlights. Really appreciate these bands making the stretch into St Pete, fans realize it is an extra effort to go this deep into Florida and couldn't be more thankful
i feel like every time i see lsdream, its better than the last <3 I will always see one of his sets if given the chance. I enjoy jannus as a venue, especially edm shows. LSDREAM is always a good time but this tour especially has been amazing. You can tell how much thought and good energy goes into his sets. One of my all time favorite djs!!!
Absolutely LOVED the performance. Dylan Scott is amazing. A humble and kind artist who loves what he does. Such a great time. I will definitely be seeing him again when he comes into town.
Venue was straight forward. Towards the end of the night people who drank way to much started to push on others just trying to have a good time. Wish more security was available to prevent altercations.
Sophie Powers (opening opening act) was great! The Regrettes (opening act), okay. Yungblud is awesome! The energy is always AMAZING! He's cute cute cute and such a great performer. However, not my favorite set list (no Mars? No God Save Us? Weird?).
But that aside, the sound was awful. Our side of the venue could not hear him. Too much background guitar over the vocals which was frustrating because he is such an amazing singer. I think they handed him a different microphone, but still not good. If I had to guess, they knew there was a sound issue for the late start and when the roadie went to check the mic, it didn't work.
First, I would like to say that one of the security guards, Zander, was so sympathetic and helpful to me. My husband and I brought our 15 year old daughter to the show. I have MS and didn't know this was being held outside. He was very accommodating and found me a chair to sit in. The concert was wonderful, Dom was fantastic. He shook my husband's hand and gave me a kiss on his way out of the venue. He's a wonderful musician who spreads such a powerful and positive message to his fans. We need more young people spreading such messages of love, unity, and pride in who you are. Good on ya' Dom!!! 🇬🇧😘❤️❤️
SO much talent in 3 humans, and the venue was off the hook!!! We got one of the 7 suites available at Jannus Live. Kendall at Jannus helped us line everything up for the show and she was fantastic. I've been to a ton of concerts in my years and this will be one of the more memorable for both the band and the venue.
Last nights show at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, FL was one of the best shows I have seen them do. The energy from the audience and the band was infectious. They really mixed the setlist up and that was a nice surprise.
The opening song was Mesopotamians. This song was on their newest album the last time they played here in March 2008.
Some other highlights were both Spy and Guitar getting played. Both of these songs have their free wheeling moments and with the energy in the room they had a lot of fun and even made the audience part of it by having us scream during Spy. Guitar just makes you want to move and dance. I haven’t heard Fingertips in a while so it was a nice way to close the show.
Having the full horn section really brings the band to another level and makes what already sounds amazing even more alive. I can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store.
I would never give them any less than five stars, because they always put on a good show. However, I want to at least say that the sound was a little disappointing. Some of the vocals weren’t coming through. It made it very distracting -some of the vocals during the acoustic songs were clear and then the next song it was almost nothing. Bass was awesome and kicking -felt it in the chest.
Just as good as when I saw them the first time at FYI fest. The big difference was they got to play at night this time outdoors so I got to see the light show which was cool. It definitely complemented their music for their last album. I’m not sure the sound was all was great at the venue but it sounded better near the end of their set.
Chase Atlantic was great as usual but they let in WAY too many people for the size of the venue. There were too many VIPs allowed in to begin with, but the number of people after general admission was ridiculous. And the Ticketmaster scanner was not working. Some of the bartenders were also very rude. Cool venue and excellent performance by the band but we were packed in like sardines, and you couldn’t even get a drink until general admission was let in.
chase atlantic has been my favorite group of artists ever since 2019. i saw them last year in october in south florida and it was lit. this yr i knew i had to get a better view so i saved up n bought vip. it was so worth it you get to talk to them give them gifts n they perform a few songs before the show and i got second row which was crazy enough. it was really hot out and some people in the crowd weren’t doin so well but mitchel christian n clinton we’re very caring towards their fans and made sure they got help n got us all sum water. being that close to the front was literally a dream come true to me and i’d do anything to have them come back to south florida again. hopefully farther down south since i live in parkland but it was worth the trip. if they come near u, u should definitely go -bella
It was like a monsoon in Downtown St Pete but the show went on. The majority of this sold out crowd stayed through the end. Sadly, the rain cut sets short (and Bowling for Soup talks more than they play). However, Less Than Jake brought their full energy to the stage just like every time I've ever seen them over the last 20+ years!! Great set boys!!!
Mayday killed it, anyone that rolls with Tech is going to be legit but they were better than expected, and Tech was outstanding as always. Great selection of tracks, great crowd interaction, and went way beyond his time to match the hype from the crowd. It was a really solid showing. Also, didn’t even realize X was going to be kicking things off. I hope they do more Tampa/St. Pete shows.
Really enjoyed the show. The Traveling McCrory’s were a tremendous surprise. Great musicians. Played about 85 minutes. Yonder was awesome as usual. Alli did her awesome rendition of Misty Mountain the band was as tight as ever. Love Bens voice. Didn’t realize Jacob wasn’t with the band but his replacement was very good with a surprise that he also plays fiddle and he and Alli did one song playing off each other. Excellent version of Candyman. Perhaps best I’ve ever heard. New Dusty Miller is one of my favorites. The 3 song encore brought all 10 musicians together for some traditional bluegrass (RockyMountain Breakdown?) and a wonderful Brown Eyed Woman which about brought the house down. Great show. Don’t think I’ll make it to Immokolee for the bluegrass festival, but I’m sure it will be great. Think Dawg will be performing too.
Jannus is a different type of venue but my 65 year old legs kept me standing ok. Don’t miss this show if it comes near you.
Best concert ever if you’ve never been to a concert I’d recommend 1000/1000 you going to a Blackbear concert because the way he performed was amazing I love Blackbear soooo much and he made it worth going and worth my time I promise if you ever go to a Blackbear concert you will NOT regret it best concert ever and the people there were really nice and caring the employees there were great too they had a good attitude and were happy to help you with whatever you needed but overall 1000/1000 highly recommend you going to a Blackbear concert if I had the chance to go to another Blackbear concert I would definitely go!!
been waiting to see him for so so long. bought the tickets just because he was the opener. (luckily i love bear too lol) he was so insanely incredible. his energy was so great and he is an amazing performer. (waved to me 3 times too which literally made my LIFE!!!) he’s the best person and performer and needs to come back to FL asap !
I'll give the Revivalists 5 stars, but the show was terrible. You couldn't set out to create a worse music venue than Jannus Live. The crowd screamed at each other the whole show. It stunk like garbage and puke. You could hear music from neighboring bars that drowned out the band. The crowd was simply too large which made moving around near impossible. If there was an emergency people would die unnecessarily.
I know, don't go back. Well, you love it. You can have it. I'm done with Jannus. That should answer all the hate I'll get from this post. Again, the band put on a great show. I just wish I could have heard more of it over Sean yelling in my ear.
