Walter came on stage & took control of the venue. He told a few stories & rocked the house! I’ve been a fan for 20 years but this was the first time seeing him live. It will not be the last!
The Teague Brothers Band just keeps getting better and better. They played some songs off of their upcoming album which were amazing. They rocked Sam’s Burger joint like they were playing a stadium show. One of my favorite bands I will see at every opportunity.
Wow! I was engaged from the very beginning to the end. George Ducas was actually injured, but did not let that stop hm and his band from giving a superb performance. Marc Saucedo, who opened the show, then joined George Ducus to finish out the night. Don’t miss George’s performances. They are magical.
Great concert. Great band. Teague Brothers Band always puts on a great show. AJ kills it on the fiddle. Kyle is great on the lead guitar. Jason is impressive on the base. Jerremy (with 2 r’s) is one of the most intense drummers I’ve seen. John’s vocals, songs, and guitar are fresh and amazing. The Teague Brothers Band are on the cusp of something grand check them out early and often.
The show was fantastic. Melody was great as was the rest of the band. Sam played amazing guitar. Abigail was excellent. Justin and Ethan played their butts off. The show very high energy from start to finish. Can’t wait to see them again.
Marcy is loaded with a musical gift. She can manage her axe with almost anyone, she is a fine songwriter, she packs a nice voice and plays the drums with excellence. We enjoyed the show. However, Marcy's stage presence at times is a bit off-putting... it's like she's trying too hard. She is lacking a stage maturity. Her band is interesting. The drummer, the bass player and the lead guitarist are all good but the lead guitar licks overshadow Marcy's gifts and talents and IMHO are a distraction. The drummer has the chops to play for any big name national name. He is naturally awesome.
Marcy could be a big deal but she needs some mentorship from people like Sunny Sweeney, Miranda Lambert, Bri Bagwell, Kaitlin Butts, Walt Wilkins or others who've been there and done what she wants to do and is capable of.
Marcy has big talent. She just needs to channel it the right way.
It was a fantastic concert. William is the best performer I have ever heard. An exciting experience to listen to this young man and his perfect voice. I am whole heartedly committed to supporting William as he achieves success as a singer, musician, and songwriter!
Freaking awesome show. The Teague Brothers Band just keeps getting better and better. The sound was tight and they really rocked the house. Jerremy has to be one of the most intense drummers I’ve seen. John’s vocals were spot on and put on a great show. AJ’s Fiddle was hot and Kyle killed it on lead guitar. There new base player, unfortunately I don’t remember his name, was excellent, you don’t hear many base solo’s but he made it happen. Definitely a band you have to see live as these guys are going to just keep getting better and better.
Absolutely amazing. Everyone from the staff to the band!
Fortunate youth was so welcoming. They say they’re all about friends and family, and they mean it! Felt like family so much that I almost forgot to fan out. ANY TIME Fortunate youth is in Texas I will be there!
Wow, these folks can PLAY. All energy and talent. Followed Jenny and the Mexicats for some time and this was a thrill. And, Sam’s did a great job with proper sound. There was singing and dancing from start to end. Then everyone was able to meet the band and take a photo and buy a shirt, if wanted. Just a GREAT time.
Sunny’s personality and voice fill the room but Jaimie Lin Wilson’s calming influence and mama charm made for a great chemistry and a fantastic event. Now we understand ‘stage rape’ and why swinging doesn’t work in a small town. Very educational!
Satown is lucky to have a place like sams burger joint to have live music. The concerts that regularly come to satown are over priced and trash. This was a nice venue hosting a great artist. Kabaka took the time after the show to do meet and greets. There rarely happens. How sams burger joint bring more reggae music to satown
Wow, I’ve seen these guys so many times. They are true representatives of our beloved Depeche Mode. It was fun to see them at an intimate, small venue. The drink lines were horrific, but the music was loud and AMAZING. Enjoy the silence….
As usual, Carolyn Wonderland and her band with Rosie Flores did a great job. The music was great, and the crowd enjoyed hearing Carolyn belt out song after song with that high raspy voice that is her signature style. Look forward to seeing her again soon.
Combichrist is still one of my absolute favorite live acts of all time and last night proved why. The energy from Andy, the crowd, everyone. It was simply amazing. Combichrist is never the exact same lineup two tours in a row it seems.
Combichrist was my last show in Colorado and my first in Texas, and like I said, the lineup is never the same twice. That's another thing I like about their live shows, the difference in the energy from the different lineups you might see.
The venue was an excellent small music venue with a lot of excellent energy. The staff were wonderful and welcoming, and doubly so once they found out I had only moved to San Antonio over this past weekend. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot and atmosphere for my first show in Texas.
My only disappointment is the same one I had in Grand Junction: They didn't play one particular song which I consider to be the theme of my life the last couple of years - In The Pit. It is what it is though. I still danced my cane using hobbled ass off and caused myself a great amount of pain in my knee, but I would do it all over again if I had the chance. If you've never had a chance to catch Combichrist live, DO IT!
Fav band of all time and they never disappoint! Saw them inside Sams and waved like a crazy person! The show was awesome, and I love the saxophone that has been added since last time they played @ Sam's.
There wasn't a ton of people which made the show perfect .. from the moment they came on RDGLDGRN was full of energy. 4 songs in green came out into the crowd and we all sang and danced together. A one of a kind experience. Even if you don't know them, give them your time and they will give you a night to remember.
Amazing musicians and show. Been wanting to see Skyrocket for years. Got lucky to be in San Antonio at the right time. Trish Murphy was awesome singing so many classic songs from different eras. I was a big fan of her solo career, “Rubies On The Lawn” (1999) It was a great rock record. (Look it up). Gonna plan my next visit to Texas with a Skyrocket show as part of it.
Outstanding show. She sounds better live and the band is awesome. She is a true rock star. Top 5 concerts of all time for me and I have seen plenty. Great little venue too!
