First time I had seen DMB live since about 2007, I think? I have been in my “metal era” but I have recently been rediscovering my old faves.
Took my husband to see them at Mohegan - he had never seen them, it’s been 17 years for me. He was just as good, if not better, than what I remembered. We both had an amazing time, so much fun, the time flew by. Husband said it was “the best sounding band live he had ever seen.”
Great night with my son seeing his 1st concert! All the bands, Flat Black, Nothing More and especially Godsmack were amazing! Loved the venue. Lots to do at Mohegan Sun before the concert. We made a day of it eating at Hash a go go. Great spot then walking the mall area. Playing at the arcade and what not. Super fun day and evening. We can’t wait to go again and see another show!
It was awesome. It’s great to see talented rock n roll bands w/ the longevity to get up on stage play great like Cheap Trick-hence why they are in the Rock Hall Of Fame. Just like the rock band Styx they are a great band from Illinois. I love this band & their music unfortunately I missed seeing them live growing up back in the 70s & 80s. I have worked their show a few times at a concert amphitheater in NY (I am a union stagehand-IA Local: 353) and watched bits of the show and always knew how great they were. Overall-just what I expected.
Plush has skyrocketed in the music scene in a very short amount of time. They are a fun bunch of ladies that just love playing in front of an audience. Mohegan Sun Arena is a large venue, but they had a good early turnout, and the crowd was fired up. Moriah did a song with Disturbed that stole the show. Plush does a cover of 'Barracuda' that is fantastic and worth hearing live.
This show was better than expected, Lee Brice sounded amazing and his opening act, Payton Smith, brought a lively, high energy vibe to create the perfect mix of country music. Lee Brice is a seasoned performer and Payton Smith is new and exciting. They kept the audience engaged and it was great when they collaborated together on the Parking Lot Party song. Smith's take on Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer was great! I would definitely like to see another Lee Brice performance.
Absolutely excellent show! These guys gave it their all and didn’t disappoint one bit! Just about every hit was played and then some plus a great version of “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” and played an incredible version of Steely Dan’s “Pretzel Logic” as the final song of the encore. This was my third time seeing them, first was for their Farewell Tour in the 80s, then about 5-10yrs ago at the Fillmore in SF. They always put on a great show and was extremely pleased to see them for what could be the last time. These guys sounded as good as ever. I would definitely go again if they are still touring. Thank you Doobie Brothers!!!
The Volbeat show at Mohegan Sun was great! As usual they put on a fantastic show, but the reason I love them so much is their hearts. First they invited a kid to come up on stage with his father and then they invited all the kids in the front on the GA floor to come up on the stage to rock out with them. It was awesome! I was grinning ear to ear the entire time.
Halestorm opened up for them and were phenomenal. They are all incredible musicians. Their drummer is not only fantastic, but is great showman who is a lot of fun to watch.
Aside from technical issues, and maybe forgetting and issues mixing for openers… it was the first show of this tour.
Ok and that random dude on my left who seemed to be There just for a chance at the pink haired girl who smelled like a stall in need of mucking and the guy on the other side who took 3/4 of my seat and all of his own… it was a great time
AMAZING SHOW!!! LOVE BIG TIME RUSH!
Had the meet and great as well which was cool, however for the amount of money security kept pushing us out. They had said when we go in to give each member a hug and say hi and then fall into line for a photo. I got to hug one member then the security guy said no you have to do that after the photo so we scrambled to get in line for the photo, then he said ok exit that way. He was pushing us out and I had to rush hug the other 3 members and didn't get to say anything to them. It was disappointing, there were other people in the same tier as me for the meet and greet and they got to say more than two words and got to say hi to each of the members properly, which considering tickets for that were 250 at least and I waited 3.5 hours to meet them. It sucked that I didn't get to say hi to more than one.
John Fogerty defies the test of time as his show was full of energy and he still sings and sounds the same as he did in 1969. John did not skip a beat and hit all the high notes of his sings at the ripe age of 77. It was amazing to see his sons play with him on stage. John Fogerty is a Rock Icon and he is in the same league as Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen. It was on my bucket list to finally see my Rock Idol and I did and was not disappointed. I loved the show and he was just incredible.
Great show, GREAT artists! Pat sounds great as ever. Amazing voice range!
I wasn't thrilled with the bright white lights they shine in the audiences' eyes.
Wish the sound mix highlighted her VOICE better...
Lived the concert though.
Good venue... though as one of their several moves to be cheap over the past couple of years, they've eliminated paper tickets. So... no more memorabilia for your lifelong collections. And don't be fooled... there are people out there willing to pay surprising amounts for old ticket stubs! Disappointing.
I was at the Pentatonix concert in Ft. Lauderdale on Dec 15. The performers and the set and light show were all wonderful. They can leave the live Tic Toc recording out---that took away from the show, but all of the other theatrical elements were quite spectacular.
The group was very generous to their opening musicians, A Girl Named Tom. Pentatonix's blend, musicianship, and team effort grow every year. We were so glad to see them in person.
Shinedown blew the crowd away! Myself included! I knew they would be incredible live based on what I’ve heard from other fans and the amazing music they’ve put out over the years. Being the fist time I’ve ever seen them I can honestly say this is one of the very best performances I’ve seen in my entire 32 years of life! I’ve wanted to see them for many years and I’m so very happy and proud that I have been a part of this experience! This band had more positive messages and energy than any other band I’ve ever seen! They really make you feel like special as an individual. They make you feel like part of their family! A band that calls their fans and audiences their boss and actually plays the songs they want to hear live! They had such an amazing and unique set list. Their energy onstage is like no other. If for some odd reason you don’t like this band you absolutely HAVE to or won’t have any other choice than to like them after witnessing their live performance. 🤘✨🐍❤️
The Pretty Reckless put on a hell of a performance! Taylor’s voice live was extremely on point and her energy onstage was very impressive as well as the rest of the band. Super proud to be a big supporter and fan of this incredible band! This was the first time I saw them live and it made me very proud of being a part of their fan base for years! Very satisfied! 🤘✨🐍❤️
I have seen Celtic Thunder every time they have come anywhere near CT. I have always enjoyed them. I understood when they went from 6 all the way down to 3 with the addition of Damian coming back after venturing out on his own. I have watched and enjoyed him since he joined at 12.
One of things that makes C.T. different is not only the various single, double and group songs but the bantering back and forth with their animated expressions were wonderful to watch. Having seen them so many times, I was aware of the subtle changes each time and with different members.
Last night’s show was different. The staging was pretty much non-existent; it took away from the ambiance of the show. When the performers came out, they looked like they just got off a bus!
The sound system was terrible. Although I did know many of the words to some of the songs; the new ones were inaudible. I was particularly sad to not understand the words to the new song about the singer’s ancestor. Story songs are particularly popular with the Irish.
Although I enjoyed the solos and duets as well the groups, the entire show started to feel like a talent show and not a group effort. That was always part of their appeal.
I realize there are always compromises but moving to Mohegan Sun was not a good choice in my humble opinion I understand finances play into setting up appearance. It’s sort of like seeing a Broadway show numerous time. Then the show is sent out on the road. It’s the same show essentially but it’s not! It’s like the second string of a team. The performers were good but the settings/backdrops, the girls never left their positions, the lack of “ costumes” or even dressing alike, the inability to understand the words of the newer songs and the acoustics all detracted. The lack of any proper choreography which provided some synchronicity all decreased the true former vision of Celtic Thunder.

The dancing was entertaining and fun to watch, but it wasn’t what I hoped it would be. There was a giant screen at the back of the stage that has different colors, patterns, and images flowing across it through the entire show; sitting near the back of the arena, all that did was distract me and make it difficult to see the steps and feet of the dancers. Add to that the bright and blinding light show, which was clearly run by someone who has never sat facing directly at the stage in the higher sections, the choreography, which was really just for the people sitting close to the stage, as we couldn’t see their feet and barely saw much of the actual choreography besides them going back and forth across the stage, and the fact that most of the dances were about a minute long to snippets of songs.
There were two large screens set on either side of the stage so people in the back could see better (although that doesn’t help when the videographer only pans and shows distance shots and close ups of the dancers when they are talking, not actually dancing).
Yes, the dancing we could see was amazing and the costumes were gorgeous. But the show as a whole failed. It’s production ran as if it were a bunch of amateurs behind the scenes, and it was very obviously tailored to those sitting near the stage.
Overall a big disappointment to me and my Mom (who I surprised with the tickets as a Xmas present). We both agreed the show wasn’t worth what we spent on it (not just the tickets, but the 2 hour drive each way to and home from the arena), and we wouldn’t do it again.
No matter who leads, Journey never fails yo disappoint and transport me and my friends back to those amazing years. Thank you Journey and to our friends at TicketMaster who make it easier and faster to grab a ticket and enjoy a great show.
I had a kidney transplant about two years ago; and shortly after, the optional ticket insurance became available. Or I noticed it. Either way, thank you so much for this partnership offering. I love live music and thanks to this option, my unpredictable health is now not an issue.
We did have a bit of a hiccup with the venue itself. They can’t hustle for everyone but it’s a good reminder for any location to remind their vendors to treat others kindly and as you would want to be treated yourself.
Overall, it was another amazing evening with Journey, one of my closest friends and in the lovely and fun Mohegan Sun casino. Nothing takes you there like music and you’ve done that for me and my friends since we were old enough to go; probably about 35 years 😲Thanks again.
SO awesome! Loved every minute. Rob’s vocals are still top notch. Both the music and stage theatrics were excellent. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. My first time seeing them, and I will be back for more! I would have loved to hear a bit more of new album because it’s so fantastic. One of their best and one of the best albums of 2018. Usually when you go to a show of a band that’s been around a while, it’s like “please don’t play your new material bc it’s not as good.” But that’s not the case with Priest. Their new stuff slays. But I know they have such a big catalogue and a lot of hits to fit in and a lot of long-time fans to please. Really no complaints just thought I would add that as a compliment of sorts—don’t be afraid to play the new stuff, Priest, because it’s awesome!
Always a pleasure to see and hear these guys with their hard hitting brand of metal. They did a great cross section of songs from their massive catalog complete with screaming vocals and shredding guitars! Uriah Heep opened the concert and it was great to see and hear these guys as well who were a forerunner of if not an inventer of the metal genre itself. Not only that but in their five decade long career they are still creating new music to this day! In a nutshell a stonking good time!
Alanis is my absolute favorite artist . This was my 100th time that I’ve seen her live . I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her in a kinds of venues . That being said , this venue was by far the worst venue that I’ve ever been to . For starters the seating is horrible . The stairs to get to your seats is a death trap . It goes straight up and you have to say your prayers that you make it up to your seat without falling . You can’t stand up Bc there’s no room and you feel like you are leaning forward and going to go forward and fall. Going down the stairs is hard too . There were quite a few people who were def drunk and my friend and I were praying that they made it down the stairs without falling . Some how they made it . As for the drinks , I couldn’t get one Bc there was only beer and wine . I have celiac disease so there was nothing for me to eat or drink .
The concert started late . Which is rare for an Alanis concert . But things happen . That’s fine . When the concert started my friend and I were beyond excited . Alanis came out with her normal fun , energetic , happy , joyful , love for her craft and for everyone there . Her voice was on point ,. Hitting all of her notes . But the acoustics in the arena are awful . Which made it at times hard to understand when she was trying to talk to the crowd . Something she loves to do . She explains something funny that happened while writing a song or what a song is about etc .
It was a sold out show !! Which was no surprise to me Bc Alanis is amazing . I just felt awful for her and the band Bc they work beyond hard to put on an amazing show . Then the acoustics had to at times take away the moment Bc there would be screeching . The background wasn’t dressed up either . Alanis always has videos going and colorful backdrops . They used multicolored lights and shapes of colors . Which were cool .
I was just disappointed with the arena . It didn’t do Alanis justice . She is extremely talented and a perfectionist. I’ve seen her enough to know how her shows go and this show sadly wasn’t one of the best and none of this being her fault .
But , as always I am forever grateful whenever I have the chance to see Alanis in concert . This was her last concert of 2018 so that makes it special too . I can’t wait for 2019 Bc she will be touring and be releasing another record ( end of this year beginning of next year ) and I’ll be ready to go to as many of her concerts as I can .
Alanis ; thank you for spreading joy and love on Saturday . You always make everyone feel welcomed and accepted . See you in 2019 🙏🤘🏼✌️
