Only giving 4 1/2 because as usual the palladium was unorganized and I paid for an early entry ticket only to not get let in early, just first. That should be stated on the site or ticket.
Security was good for once, merch was unbelievably expensive, 40$ for a t-shirt or 70-80$ for a sweatshirt.
Hollywood Undead put on an awesome show as expected, crowd was a bit rough but eh.
All three bands were great. BFMV, Of Mice & Men and Vended all sounded great. OM&M had some technical difficulties but pulled out of it and sounded great. I wish Vended would get there own look and sound, the singer being Corey Taylor's son, they sound alot like Slipknot and some of them had make up and masks but they were good anyways. Great show.
Glenn Hughes is absolutely amazing ! I had the opportunity to meet him and he is such a kind, true gentleman. His vocal range certainly does earn him the title of "The Voice of Rock" I have seen him 3 times and he never disappoints. His love for what he does shows through every song he sings and he truly appreciates his fans. He definitely should be the headliner on any tour he is on. If you are a Deep Purple fan and have the chance to see him .. don't miss it.
I’m going to be honest, I cannot give this concert anything below a 5 because from what I could hear, it was a great concert… but sadly, I didn’t get to watch it. Someone drugged my drink, and I stayed in the bathroom the entire time, sobbing, while I listened to one of my favorite bands… sing my favorite songs. As much as I had one of the worst times ever, that has nothing to do with the band, so I don’t want my rating to effect them. The venue that allowed it to happen, and instead of checking if I was okay, took off my bracelet so I couldn’t drink anymore? Yeah, that’s a negative review. Thanks, no thanks Palladium.
AMAZING! I love Set It Off and their shows are always good! I really like how they are focused on their bringing their old songs back.
The merch line was really long, but that was expected. Great seating and amazing atmosphere. I met a ton of Dreamcatchers that were really nice and even made some friends. 1000/10 experience. Will definitely go to all their shows that are near me!
Pop Evil turned up the heat and rocked the Palladium. They talked about Skeletons being their hardest album yet and I have to agree. The set list was a greatest hits of their work. Being introduced by Mistress Carrie tells me they are headed for the big time. I've seen them play bars that wouldn't hold 200 fans. I wish them all the best and look forward to more shows.
I love seeing all the opening acts because you find 'diamonds in the rough' like The Word Alive. They put on a headliner performance and laid the path for Pop Evil. The lead singer, Tyler Smith reminds me of Noah Sebastian from Bad Omens. The range they have and the stage presence is incredible. I look forward to more shows and more music in the future.
AMAZING finally got to meet my favorite artists of all time I even got to hold his hand and drink his water first. The energy was amazing and the way he interacted with his fans is something I haven’t really seen through out any of the concerts I’ve been too apart from this one. Felt like a dream come true to be in the front row of this concert
Bruh. 1st off. No one, and I mean NO ONE is safe from Alpha Wolf. Akudama nearly brought on the apocalypse. 2nd. Northlane KILLED it, I’ve never heard a band sound better live. 3rd. Fit For A King was worshiping the God of Fire cause they brought it that night, my buddies first Metal concert and he left with a split eyebrow and a black eye. Thought I’d scared him away but instead he said “you have created a monster”. All in all, pretty good night.
The Palladium is an iconic venue. It feels like you're in a small club with plenty of space to just chill or catch your breath before jumping back in the pit. Fit For A King blew the roof off the place. We gave them everything and they fed off the energy. At one point, the lead singer told us this was their biggest performance to date. I know a lot of bands say that, but the two song encore sort of told the story. It's been my mission recently to see as many groups as possible and FFAK did not disappoint. I know they'll be back and I'll be ready.
The opening act torche was good!
Converge was great! As always! They played their material from "the dusk in us" and "All the love we leave behind" albums and finished with their classic material from "You fail me" and Jane Doe to close off their set. Killer!!! Material!! They sound great live! Exhilarating and riveting performance from the band!
They definitely got the crowd screaming along!
Meshuggah was legendary! Great show! And a great set that they played! Lots of new material and a couple old ones! All great stuff! Had lots of fun! Will always try and see these guys when they come around
What a fucking show. Alpha Wolf killed, Polaris was the highlight of my life so far. Feel a little bad for LMTF and Silent Planet, the crowd was a little dead/tired after the Polaris set (myself included). They handled it really well though. Sadly I had to miss Avoid (overnight shift worker + 2 hour drive), but not a single weak set that I saw. Will drive up to 6 hours for any Polaris tour any time they come to the US.
I am not one to critique anyones performance but I have to be honest because I really enjoy this band and I just wanted to give them a heads up for future reference. I love all that remains and this is the second time I seen them live but for some reason something sounded off with the instrumentals and the timing of the majority of the songs tonight but overall Phil did a great job on vocals. I hope when they come around again it will send better than tonight’s performance. Sorry guys.
You can't rate a concert when the band wasn't there to play it. Not sure why, but Dying Wish didn't appear this night. However, being a fan and having seen them before I can tell you that they are worth the price of admission. You get a chance to see them then definitely go, and definitely make your way into the pit. Their breakdowns are fierce and heavy.
The Acacia Strain is more than just a simple metal concert but a crazy, in your face experience. In Massachusetts they are at their best. If you're a fan then you scream all the words back at Vincent as you mosh, stage dive and just have a good time. This night showcased Wormwood and even had them play, Doctor Doom and Whoa! Shut It Down which had been a while for a long-term fan like myself. I give them 5 stars but know that they deserve more!
The concert was absolutely amazing. I loved it. However, I did have a panic and anxiety attack during the third song, so I’d like to thank the security staff member (Idk what his name was (he was so nice)) that took me aside, gave me a water and helped me calmed down. Anyways, couldn’t have asked for a better first SWS & SIO concert
Avantasia put on one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever seen! So glad I got the chance to see them! Everyone singing was great, the music was great, and the energy from the whole show was amazing. I brought someone who had never heard of them and now loves them 👍🏻 I hope they come back I’d love to seen them again!
This was the first time I had ever seen All That Remains. I know, a little late to the game and missed the last performance of the late Oli Herbert, wish he was alive so I could have seen and met him, but the concert was so much fun! I even met the band afterwards and they were so awesome and fun! I love their music! Can’t wait for them to be back!
Only stayed until ABR. They’re one of my favorite bands so I wasn’t leaving. Polaris was good. Never heard of them. Glad they got your with these dudes. First time seeing TDWP and they killed it. ABR also was amazing. My only gripes have nothing to do with the bands. Venue was too packed. Barely any room to breathe. But that might be a bad thing for me but great for the bands. I feel the sound was good except for the vocals of all the leads. I could barely hear Jake for half the set. All in all good show. Just a lot of rude patrons. and for the love of god put your phones away people. Be with the show. Anyone can find a live video these days. You’re missing out.
Didnt see Polaris or much of Devil Wears Prada but ABR were absolutely the highlight of the show. Played with those dudes once @ Drifters in Nashua NH and havent seen them since... absolutely killed it! Parkway Drive was good and tight per usual... but their latest album leaves a lot to be desired... and it showed during their performance. Slightly disappointed in them but still gave a great show.
