Center For Arts In Natick

I have been to close to 100 concerts at TCAN in the past 15 years and I’ve seen some outstanding groups but this was one of the all time greatest concerts. The music was very creative, the audience was totally involved and engaged with the band and the diverse instruments (2 bagpipers, fiddlers….) made it an extraordinary concerts. The venue is terrific- friendly, helpful staff, convenient parking. 🙂👍👍👍👍

This was the show of my life!!! I love Dar and The Nields. It was so fun!!!!!! Dar brought out Nerissa and Katryna for a few songs, including one of my favorite songs in the universe, “I Am The One Who Will Remember Everything”, and The Nields set on its own was spectacular (Favorites including “Love Love Love”, “Butterfly”, and more)! Thank you thank you for an amazing show!!!!

The jam session was a fantastic show in itself, and the camaraderie and talents shared by the participating musicians was absolutely wonderful! They played together with a variety of instruments, took solos and supported each other throughout! Grandson and alto sax player Ben is still walking on air from the experience and this was such a generous act by Grace, James and their team on what was already a very full day and weekend for them! We are all very grateful for their time, expertise and strong, genuine commitment to music education, advancing the development of music students and enthusiasts! Grace’s shows are energetic, engaging, uplifting and include a marvelous cross section of jazz ranging from historic to contemporary influences. Her original compositions are absolutely top-notch and her playlist includes a good mix of original and other music. Her accompanying musicians are simply remarkable and it’s a treat to see any one of them perform. You’ll want to go to her website at gracekellymusic.com and see when you can catch her on tour. Her performances truly live up to her amazing resume! Meanwhile, you can grab some of her music as holiday gifts or to tide you over until you get to a show to experience firsthand not only great musicianship, but a team of the nicest, most cordial and generous people, especially Irene and Robert! Ben and all of us enjoyed our post-show chat with Grace and he’s very happy to have a couple of personally autographed items from her: a tour poster to put up in his school band room as well as Grace’s sensational double vinyl album! I must also tip my cap to the team at The Center for Arts (TCAN) in Natick MA where the show was held. A great place to see a show in a convenient location where every seat is within 10 rows of the stage! The only thing better is the staff! Hospitality is the word of the day at TCAN! Great show! Grace and the group sounded great! She's assembled a pianist, drummer and bassist all of very high caliber. Off her backup I especially liked the bassist who played most of the songs with an upright bass. You don't see that much these days so it was great to see and hear! I'll definitely be going to see her again when she comes back around!!! -Jim L

Man, if you love the blues and have not seen Selwyn Birchwood live, you are missing out. He and his incredible band are the real deal. His voice has a depth and richness that reminds me of the old time blues performers. He plays the guitar like lightening. His lyrics are relatable, He’s going to be famous. It’s just a matter of time. Definitely check him out, you will not be disappointed.

This was my 21st LRE show over exactly a 4 year span. My 2nd time at TCAN to attend one and I was blown away once again by the talent behind this tribute to Linda. I never tire of the performance and will continue to attend their shows when they book close enough for me to travel to and back. Tristan is simply amazing and the guys are some of the best musicians you'll ever hear!

This is my fourth Graham Parker show; the first was in 1981. Mr. Parker was in fine spirits, not the least because he had anticipated a lower turnout due to Mother's Day. Well, the house was full, or very nearly so. The Center for Arts in Natick is just the right size and I was lucky enough to have a center seat in the second row. The staff were friendly and the beer no more expensive than it would be in a pub: fair! Parker was generous with his stories and jokes. For someone famous for cynical lyrics, he has a fine sense of humor and smiles a lot (when he isn't singing).

Nini is a new artist to me. I had not heard d her sing before the April 4th show. Her rapport with the audience was great. Her songs were all easy to understand and enjoyable. I will definitely be looking for the release of her upcoming CD. The center was very comfortable and not to overwhelming in size. The staff were pleasant and helpful. My friend and I traveled almost 2 hours from RI. We had tickets to see Ari Hest and we're so surprised with Nini's performance.

Grace never disappoints her audience. She was energetic and entertaining. She played with a great drummer, a wonderful keyboarder, and a fantastic bassist. I have truly enjoyed the concert and will definitely come back for more. The Center for Arts in Natick got some new seats and they are comfortable, which further enhance this wonderful venue. I have a great time at the concert and would give it a two thumbs up.

This was my 13th show over 3 years but every time I go it's like the first time if you can understand that. Minor difference's in presentation, additional or new songs rotated into the show keep me coming back and of course Tristan, my favorite singer on the planet who's simply amazing! If performances could earn a 5 star rating, Jake Shimabukuro would garner 6 stars. His musical performance and energy create an absorbing atmosphere that leaves you in awe of his talent. I can't wait for him to return to Massachusetts! Thank you to The Natick Center for the Arts for hosting this magnificent talent. The space and the staff were terrific!

Another great show at the TCAN, Matt and band were fantastic as usual and throw in Tom0 Fujita and Christine Tambakis to finish the night was a great bonus! I have seen probably 20+ guitarists there and Matt has the cleanest sound out of all of them, you hear every note without any distortion(unless intended) throughout the whole show, great job see you at the next one!

Great Venue !! David is amazing as always!!! The only issue is , show wasn’t long enough!!! David is so talented & love to hear him sing that I wished he could of sang more as I never get tired of listening to him !!! ( I understand he needs to stop at some point , so , my comment is not negative in any way , just would listen to him all day long live !!! Lol I’m sure any David fan feels the same way .

Fantastic show!! If you have not seen David Cook in concert then you are really missing out. Not only is he extremely talented musically but he is really funny as well and engages with the audience frequently throughout the show. The venue is intimate and the location is ideal with plenty of parking. I hope he returns to this venue again soon. He is WELL worth the price of admission.

My wife and myself were thrilled to see Quinn at this location. Felt like a private concert for each individual that was there. The only complaint is that the show went by to fast and finally had to end. Look forward to the next time we attend an event there. Great job

Eric rocked the house in the last concert before the world went to hell. With his incredible band including virtuoso bassist Roscoe Beck, the evening was intimate, laid back and absolutely a joy to behold. Eric performed his classics, as well as new cuts off his latest releases and finished the show with an amazing 12 minute jam on “Zap.” An absolute guitar player’s fantasy, Eric is a national treasure!

An amazing singer, songwriter and musician. Her performance was terrific. Even with occasional imperfections, she reveals herself as truly human with a refreshing demeanor and a great sense of humor. She is perfectly adept at engaging, her audience and enjoying the show as much as we do. She gives her all to every song with a voice that is stunningly beautiful . We love Liz!!!

Amazing! I just love Taylor Dayne! Her voice is perferfection. She is worth every penny! Never disappoints! She played at the Verve Hotel in Natick Massachusetts which I highly recommend. Very cool place to stay with retro-designs and toys, and art all over the hotel. Beautiful! The food was fabulous!! Susan Provencal

Venue was perfect for this intimate experience with one of the founding musicians of the rock era. Jim and his stringed array were superb from acoustic to electric to the mandolin on Be Free. Jim dedicated Kind Woman to his friend, Rusty Young. The band was exceptional in their performances of songs from Jim's catelog. After the show, Jim came out for a Q&A and was very candid about his life's work. This long-anticipated/delayed by Covid concert finally took place at the beautiful Center for the Arts venue in Natick, the perfect location for this Al Stewart/Empty pockets collaboration. And boy, the wait was well worth it as we witnessed a well-received opening set featuring the Empty Pockets, a brief intermission, and then a nearly two-hour-long closing set featuring the truly outstanding performance of Al Stewart, highlighted by his compelling story-telling and outstanding delivery of many of his many major hits. The man has still got it! The integration of the backup Empty Pockets with the star of the show was truly remarkable, a match made in heaven. To say that the aggregation was "tight" would be a major understatement. And then when they added in a brilliant harmonica, flute, and saxophone virtuoso performance the sell-out and wildly enthusiastic crowd was on its feet. This was a class act from start to finish, where Al Stewart took the time to introduce each member of the Empty Pockets, allowing them to leave the stage one at a time to thunderous applause, after finishing the performance of the Al Stewart hit "The Year of the Cat", only to be all called back to the stage for an encore by the crowd which simply did not want to see the night end.
