Great show at the Vogue! It was a sellout but I think the rain scared a lot of people from going. (Vogue sellout normally means people almost pushed out the door) Quite empty, but their loss made my night fantastic! Even the openers did an amazing job! All the bands probably wanted to see more fans, but our crowd energy was intense!
With a brand new CD out that is the #1 blues album and has received a Grammy nomination already. I expected to hear more new songs than old, but we were pleasantly surprised. Tab and band played 4 off the new album, and he went deep into the back catalogue and played songs that I haven’t heard live in over 20 years. This was my 35 Tab Benoit concert so I’ve seen and heard everything as he has played in Indy since 1997… it was great to hear the songs that he hasn’t played (for good reasons) since those CD’s came out. He interacted a lot with the audience and dealt with the drunks who wouldn’t stop yelling… it was an electrifying night. I was glad to talk with him for about a hour before the show, and after. Tab is a class act and by far a touring beast. The new CD is a true masterpiece, and it’s truly “Tab Benoit” when someone asks, who is he, what’s he about, have them pick up I HEAR THUNDER, as that album IS him! He and Corey LOVED that explanation and said they’re going to use that going forward.
If you have the opportunity to see Tab, don’t miss it, you are in the presence of true blues greatness! Definitely going to travel to catch a few more shows on this tour as if he’s within 8 hours we going!
The Airborne Toxic Event is consistently fantastic, and Tuesday night’s performance at the Vogue was off the charts spectacular!!! Many thanks to Mikel and all the incredibly talented members of the band for a fabulous evening in Indy!!
So so so much fun. Every member of this band is so talented and such a good performer, and I loved seeing them in such an intimate venue! It was really special for Mikel to come down into the crowd and dance with us; I will look back on the night fondly for a long time. I can't wait for the next time they come through Indy!
The Glorious Sons put on an amazing show! I originally only went because my friend was a big fan. I can officially say that I am, too, after seeing them live. And The Vogue was an awesome, intimate kind of venue. It was a great concert!
Treaty oak was incredible! The venue though was horrible. Paid $220 for both tickets and the venue was small and no where to stand. We walked in and a girl overdosed in front of us. Will never go to that venue again.
Juicy J didn’t show up. Logic and the gang held it down. Kind of annoying it’s written over the tour merch, but no J to be seen. He was busy at a show with Project Pat. Yes, I’m pretty annoyed. Lots of disappointed fans.
Best time ever!! The bands were fantastic. The sound engineer was on point. The entire venue staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. I had gotten hit in the head during a mosh pit and was bleeding all over. One of the security guards pulled me to the side, led me back stage, then outside to attend to my wound and sent me on my way. 100% on it and professional. I didn't quite catch his name, but thank you to him for showing care and compassion in my wounded time. Can't wait to attend the next metal show!!
10 Years was awesome! We never miss a 10 Years show even if we have to drive a couple hours to see them. The openers Black Map and VRSTY were also great! The Vogue is a great venue and would recommend any kind of show there.
Had a great time! Neighbor killed it. Strong guitar licks with funky bass rifts. Deep jams where you can tell the band is in their groove. Keyboard player has a great voice and is good at his craft. The lyrics are clever and fun. This is all held together by their drummer that isn't afraid to beat up his kit for a solo. All and all they're a great up and coming band. I look forward to seeing Neighbor grow over the next few years. 8 out of 10 will definitely see them again.
Better Than Ezra continues to be my favorite band, most fun concert, and the soundtrack of my life for the past 30 years. They sound as awesome as ever and are true entertainers. Their ability to weave various covers amongst their own catalog of songs and banter with the crowd and one another is unmatched. After seeing 25+ live shows across 10 different venues, I can honestly say that every show has been awesome, even when the acoustics were a bit of a struggle and they had to do an encore in the alley outside the venue.
That challenged venue was not the Vogue, which continues to be an awesome fit for its intimacy in sharing this band's talents with the crowd. Also appreciated the ADA seating for the show since I recently busted up my knee and cannot stand for much longer than 15 minutes.
It was an awesome show. There were issues with the guitar being out of tune for a song but it was quickly taken care of. They can pump up a crowd for sure. Very talented musicians. I’ve never seen them live and waited three years for the show. It did not disappoint. I’ll see them again.
This was my second time seeing Jesse (I saw him at Kentucky Kingdom in '09) and once again he did not disappoint. The show was absolutely amazing and had a mixture of songs from his newest album back to his beautiful soul days. I got the "My Friends" VIP package which allowed people to get in early which is fortunate since I am all of 5ft tall so I had a pretty close up view of him.At one point he thanked us for coming to the show and talked about how he's glad to be touring again and the way his eyes lit up while he was talking you could tell he was genuinely happy to be performing for the crowd. I have been to a few different meet and greets over the years (some very awesome and others just "eh" ) and the after show meet and greet with him was one of the best experiences I have ever had. As everyone walked up to him he introduced himself and shook our hands and asked our names and said thanks for coming out etc which was definitely a new experience for me.i know this was really long winded but anyhow I would definitely recommend people going to a show even if you dont have meet and greet passes everyone was still able to have fun and enjoy the performance. 10 out of 10 rating.
Such a killer show! Big Velvet’s performance was like watching Waylon Jennings, John Belushi & “Country Dick” Montana beat the crap out of Kid Rock for 90 minutes. Cauthen’s band was stellar. Especially, the lead guitarist and keyboard players. Pure bliss!
These guys were awesome! I can’t wait for them to come back to Indiana. They definitely rocked more than the second band(sorry). They stayed after the show to hang out and take pictures. I also got a cd autographed. They were really sweet.
What an excellent show! Cary Ann & Michael really brought it! Both are extremely talented and their chemistry is unmatched. Jeremie Albino was great, as well. He had an old school Rock & Roll feel that was very cool and effortless. Worth the wait!
First time seeing Todd, attended alone cause my friends suck, had a great time. MerchLady was super kind and gave me my “Beer Run” shirt at $5 discount (I was short)! Nobody does that. Thanks MerchLady! Todd was ok too
While I didn’t attend this even given the whole pandemic nightmare (MAGA? I say ney-ney. In reality it’s bullsh*t!), I did see Todd live at the Vogue last year. Enjoyed a couple of drinks and shared a few laughs with the Mrs. It was all good IMO.
It was great! Jon B looked & sounded good! He played the keys🎹 & 2-stepped a little on stage, lol. He performed most of his classic hits from "Someone To Love" to "Don't Talk." They were great & all(him putting his spins on some of them - more jazzy or rhythmic sounding); HOWEVER(and yes, there is a "however"), I kinda was disappointed😞 that he didn't sing ANY of his music from the "Stronger Everyday", "Helpless Romantic," and "Comfortable Swagg" albums! I was like, "Really?" I spent a month from his b-day(11-11) up til yesterday listening to his last two albums(not including his B-Sides Collection cd)...btw, SE is probably the best out of those 3 cds, imo("Pleasures U Like" is still my fave, then Cool Relax, and coming in third w/SE). Anyways, it was a pretty dope show and everything, but I was just expecting more 🎶🎵🎤 & TIME⏳⏰⌚!! Especially, since the show allegedly was to start @9pm, but Jon B didn't show up til after 11:30(and called it a wrap a little after midnight!). So, in the end, we only got about a 45 min show!😠😡 I just wasn't fulfilled & happy about that, to say the least. I still love😍 me some Jon B, but just wanted more of a stellar show, that's all...😞
Eric Johnson’s performance was flawless. His supporting band members, Kyle (bass) and Tommy (drums) were absolutely phenomenal musicians. It was obvious that they have been together as brothers for years and still enjoy each other. The venue was comfortable and is a great space for such performances. The sound was “OK,” and that’s my single complaint. Such attention was paid to reinforcing the sub-bass in the mix—featuring the kick drum & lowest bass notes—that much of the upper bass range (where Kyle was playing) and the midrange (vocals & Ericks lead guitar work) was muddled. At times it as impossible to tell when the bass guitar was changing notes or to hear articulation of the guitar riffs. If the mix had been made for this program-rock trio rather than a dance DJ, it would have been perfect!
