second time seeing him and it was a beautiful show as he is a great artist. Had VIP access and my daughter was once again very happy with his show and asking him questions and hearing his music live as it is so heartfelt and he is a very caring person to all.
Been waiting years to see Yela, and I was NOT disappointed. He never comes around here so I got my ticket the night they went on sale. $40 to see one of the greatest artists of this generation??? That’s a steal, all these zesty new age “artists” charge $100+ to watch them perform songs someone else wrote for them. Slumerican forever
Jack White is so raw , so pure. He has made the blues relevant in a new way by infusing his own modern take on it. His show at Toads Place was awesome. He rarely spoke between songs but expressed his gratitude to the crowd at the end. Simply put, he let the music do the talking. He played 1 hour and 45 minutes and performed about 22 songs spanning all his previous bands and solo work. His set had quite a few songs off his new record and many classics. With so many great songs, there is no way you could hear everything you would want to hear, but Jack does not disappoint! Anyone fortunate enough to get tickets and be there will most likely remember this show as one of the top shows they will remember!
Never heard about them before the show, but their music was certainly an awesome way to kick off the show. Lots of head banging, and screaming from both the band and the audience. if ever got the chance to see them live again I would. got a new fan in me.
QUEENSRŸCHE was spot on performing their first EP and th Warning album , both in their entirety. The encore included The Prophecy and Screaming in Digital. They were excellent, and despite many key line-up changes, Michael Wilton and Eddie Jackson carry on with Todd La Torre on vocals. Mike Stone rejoins the group on guitar, and Casey Grillo rounds out the lin-up on drums. They are still an amazing band and not a Cover Band as some critics claim. I've seen Geoff Tate with his band, and he still brings it, but a reunion seems unlikely. Honestly, you can't go wrong either way! I'll take my QUEENSRŸCHE any way I can get it. If you like them, go see them any way you can. LONG LIVE QUEENSRŸCHE
!
I became a fan of the Descendents very recently after talking to a fan wearing their T shirt at a Damned show in October. I saw the documentary on them and was hooked. Lo and behold, they announced a tour with the Circle Jerks soon after, and they actually came to Connecticut. I had seen the Circle Jerks a couple of years ago, so I was doublely excited! What a great show by both bands. Great sets and great sound. The fans were excited and energetic. Couldn't have been any better!
Had a great time. Packed house. Rowdy but brotherly crowd. Saw cj in Vermont last tour and Off in Boston. Keith does not disappoint. Decent, clean venue with nice employees. Great experience. Would go again even though it is a 2 hour 25 minute drive from home.
The show sold out and Jinjer did not disappoint! Tatiana is such a performer! And I love toads place it’s perfect, you can get as close to the stage as you want and the venue is so small you can see the whole show from anywhere. Also much appreciated the bartender!
A spectacular band that gives their all! Their performance was so entrapping that it went by in the blink of an eye. Once they finished their set we chanted for one more song, and they were happy to oblige us! I've watched many videos of Alex and the band perform, but experiencing it live differs in ways I don't know how to describe - but it was good!
I would be remiss to not bring up their loyal fan base either, showing their support in various ways. The show was completely sold out, a surfing fan gave them a Russian flag, and several people showing up in StP masks (myself included). I've never gotten more interaction from other people than before this performance, and I loved every minute of it.
PLEASE COME BACK SOON!
P.S. I took a picture with a couple other people in masks, if you're the guy with the picture please send it to me! I wore the gold.
She was amazing live but she only played about 4 songs her dj played for a few hours kinda losing the crowd a few times he was playing 7:30-9:40 then she came on stage no hype or transition. she got the audience hyped af and preformed amazingly but the show was over right at 10. Idk if there was something going on I hope everything is ok with her it was just disheartening to wait forever then barely get a show. I know some ticket seller where selling it 60 bucks a pop I got mine at least from toads place and it was 25 before fees but if I knew it would be 20 minutes I’d probably not have driven an hour she said she would play lgbt next time but idk if I’m going to a next time
Absolutely killer show and also great venue! I've been wanting to check out Toad's Place for a while now, and it definitely did not disappoint! I'd go see any of the bands I saw that night again any day, and... despite living all the way up in Portland, ME, I'd make the drive down to Toad's again for a show any day as well!! Definitely glad I went.
Absolutely incredible! Amazing show in such a small venue! It was sold out and packed beyond belief! All the bands were awesome, the crew was awesome and I purchased the Ultimate VIP experience with Dope! What a kick Ass experience! Edsel & Acey made me feel welcomed on the bus and just hung out and shot the shit! This was my 220th time seeing DOPE, literally...and it was the best experience ever! Worth it and can't wait to do it again! Thanks again to everyone for the hospitality and for being friggin awesome as Hell!
New Haven was ROCKIN! Livingston was great despite the audio issues he still went through and provided a great performance! Witt tore down the house. Loved all his songs, great concert after losing out on 3ish years due to COVID after releasing Nevers Road. TEAM WITT til the death of me!
Worth the price of admission just for the valve trombone. This band was new to me but I became a fan the second I walked through the door and heard them up on stage. Solid sound, good energy, great stage presence. Every musician brought it from start to finish!
Amazing crowd, great community spirit, respectful. PJ was incredible from start to finish. He’s really a top tier live performer, as a musician, writer, arranger, director. Every aspect of his artistry was poised. He’s a masterclass and musical genius. My first PJ show and his first in New Haven, can’t wait for the next one. Everything’s gonna be alright!
The energy in that place was awesome!! The band was sick and PJ was phenomenal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My only gripe was that the set was so short. I could’ve listened to him for another few hours and according to other ppl, his other shows were much longer. (Maybe bc it was his first time in New Haven) Nonetheless, I most certainly will go to another one of his shows! He’s just awesome! My husband and I had so much fun!!
I enjoyed the show this time more than when I saw them on May 4th last year, but that was mainly because of the set they played this time, which was the whole Drug in Me is You album, plus Popular Monster, Drugs, and Just Like You. But just like the last time we saw them they played an hour and 10 minutes and that was it. I had to drive for over 2 hours both ways to get to toads place, which is in total close to 5 hours of drive for Falling in Reverse to only play an hour. I also found out that for some reason this night was the only night they did not play the reimagined version of the Drug in Me is You on this tour, which was annoying to find out too. The band also doesn’t have that much energy or that much production but I’m not going to really judge the show based on that. It’s ridiculous that ticket prices are going up but concert times are going down. My brother, my dad, and I spent over a hundred dollars on merch for FIR to only play an hour. We’ve decided we are not going to go to another Falling in Reverse show unless the set times increase.
It was our first time going to Toad's Place and we loved it. The venue is small but just made for a better show. All the bands were great, we caught the end of Sharp/Shock, and Skinny Lister were a lot of fun. We had come to see The Interrupters and this was the best time we've had seeing them. Aimee Interrupter had tons of interaction with the crowd, and the whole band hung out after the show to meet fans. This was easily in my top five shows of all time.
It was Soooo amazing . Best concert I’ve ever been to. My favorite . He’s amazing . So so amazing . I’m honestly so obsessed . I love the fact that he sounds exactly like he does in his recorded songs. That’s very rare. He’s so so unique and Incredible . I don’t know what possessed him to come to CT but I’m so thankful for it ❤️. November 4th will forever be the best day of my life ❤️. Until we meet again ❤️
Samatha is a rising star her unique style and blend is so refreshing in the music industry. She infused her roots with her style vocal blend that covers country bluegrass quick step jazz blues and her fierce guitar is like no other. Her passion shows a must see anytime she’s in town.
