Amazing concert overall Caity was great as usual. The only thing that wasn’t great was the priority queue was a bit bigger than expected so even if you queued in general for like 5 hours you were still quite far back. Also a lot of people vaping on the floor which wasn’t that nice to be stood around loads of people all with different vapes

This was the first time we had managed to catch up with a live performance by Rival Sons. I have all of their albums and love their music, so I had high expectations for the evening. The support band came on and played a great set. L.A.Edwards were very good indeed. My expectations were surpassed as often a support band can not be engaging. Then the main event. Rival Sons took to the stage and completely blew me away with their musicianship, their passion, their amazing catalogue of material, and their sheer stage presence. What a band. When they came on stage, they looked cool, and when they launched into their set, my smile just widened, and I think I can honestly say that they astounded me. Best Rock gig I've ever been to. I cannot wait to see them live again.

Always a good show and the girls were on form. The set list wasn't quite as dynamic as previous tours, Meg's equipment broke down and the acoustic microphone was too quiet. Support act The Sheepdogs were awesome and rocked hard and full - very impressed! Venue (O2 Academy Bristol) let's M&G in first with the O2 queue 2nd pushing 'normal' punters back. Security split the main line into 2 so a bunfight after passing metal detectors. Be warned, the M32 closes a lot after showtime for roadworks so plan an extra ½hour if going that way as no detour signs!

This is one of the best bands around and I believe they are on the verge of the big time! Give!them a listen you will not be disappointed, better still catch up with them live! We have supported them for three years plus now and have seen them 3 times but we will never get sick of more of their concerts!

It was great. My first time seeing PiL and it was incredible. John Lydon has such an incredible stage presence, he’s so magnetic and you just can’t look away, I went with my mum and my Nan and we had the best time! Also the starting band Meryl Streek!! He was so raw and passionate it was very moving, he was brilliant so thank you for introducing me to new music!

Orbital we’re amazing and the crowd were loving it, I’ve seen several times at festivals but felt they were better here. It might just be that it’s in a club type atmosphere rather than a field but the energy of the music and the crowd was something else!

The Steve Hillage band was absolutely Amazing as I've seen him for the 4th time at the O2 Academy Bristol. The 1st time I saw him was in the 70s in Hammersmith London when he was with a group called Gong.🕉️ The 2nd time was in an outdoor concert in Brittany France when he had just released the album "Fish Rising" again a brilliant guitarist showing all his beautiful Space Rock Riffs. The 3rd time was at the O2 Academy Bristol in around 2019.My friend who is well up in the music scene and said to me on watching Steve Hillage "How come I've never heard this guy?" I said to him "he's one of the world's best guitarists in his genre.......Space Rock/Cosmic Rock and a virtuoso. The latest show at the O2 Academy was just an amazing trip. A fantastic light show with a huge screen projecting images of the Buddha and various other videos to go with the music. Their rock rendition of Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy was superb. Then the encore was a feast for the ears which lasted about 15 minutes of pure bliss. I can't wait for gig number 5 🎸🤟👍♥️

A great night of Southern blues and rock at the O2 Academy in Bristol on Wednesday 22 April 2023. The gig got off to a rousing start with a half-hour set from support act Ida Mae, before Marcus King came on stage with his 7 piece band to play two hours of songs mostly taken from his last two albums, a mixture of soulful blues and hard rock with a bit of country thrown in for good measure. Some numbers were purely instrumental, others developed into expansive jams with two lead guitars duelling it out. There was even a retro drum solo while other band members took a short break before the encores. Marcus King has an amazing voice perfectly suited to his brand of Southern Americana, and he has brought together a band of excellent musicians to create an exciting live act. A packed O2 couldn’t get enough of him.

Although Sleep Token played a beautiful set and were perfect as always, the o2 Bristol MUST have sold over ticket capacity as I have been for gigs there for the past 16 years and have never felt as unsafe and claustrophobic as I felt during this. There was NO room to move within the entire venue, even to access the toilet or the bar, even at the back or sides of the room. Every person around me was frustrated and actually feared being crushed. Completely distracted from being able to enjoy the music and experience when you are concerned at having space around you to BREATHE. I had to cross my arms in front of my chest to create an inch of space. Dangerous should a fire or anything have happened. This should be looked into from a safety point of view.

My first ever wallows concert and I’m so over the moon I got the opportunity to attend, queueing was nice and easy and when we got into the venue we found our spot, support act was incredible and then the wallows were just amazing, I love them so much and seeing them live was just incredible, if I ever get the opportunity to go again I will take it without a question

Such an underrated band that are just so good you can't understand how they've been going so long but haven't hit mainstream success. Brilliant live band, energetic, relentless, thumpingly good hard rock. Neil Fallon worked the stage and delivered every song with energy and the ice cold coolness that just exudes from him. So glad I got the chance to see them. Fucking awesome.

Great concert Tigercub were quite good and Green Lung were also a great warm up bands for Clutch who were really good and played all their hits and more. All in all a superb night was had by all. Especially the crowd at the front who were jumping up and down to the Rock & Roll they were making it look like a "mosh pit"🤟🤟🤟

IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE!! Security was top notch handing out water to everyone and taking a lot of consideration to peoples wellbeing. Mother Mother did an absolutely amazing performance, outstanding!! They included songs from all different albums and years, something for everyone! The opening act was also shockingly good! Dead Pony were not a band I had heard of prior, but they knew how to get the crowd going and made for a smashing show starter, super skilled and entertaining! The venue was small yet fit everyone without being crushed at all, from what I saw, everyone was able to get a good view! The venue was easy to get in and out of and entrance procedure was fast yet secure. And finally, the crowd! Mother Mother really has captured an amazing audience and going to one of their shows, you will witness this. Everyone is singing, everyone is screaming and everyone is lost in the moment, it's such an experience that you gotta just be there to know what I mean! Could not recommend enough. I also had VIP, which was a bit awkward but that's most likely due to how small the group was and that we are british LMAO. Even during this though, Mother Mother were patient and kind, getting to everyone's questions and making sure people were happy. They also handed out a lot of stuff! (Picks, drum sticks, signed tour rolls). Gotta be the best concert I've been to, that connection, both to the people and music, is something so real

Excellent gig. The cruel Knives were a quality warm up act. The pretty Reckless we’re awesome and had the whole crowd rocking with a full on set of hard rock tunes. Taylor Monson had the whole crowd eating out of her hands with a very charismatic performance. The venue was brilliant and the sound was electric. A great night was had by all.

Amazing gig! Saw them in Bristol about 10 years ago and absolutely loved seeing them again last night. The mix of songs was perfect, currently waiting to get tickets for Jamie as a result of hearing a few songs from the musical. Also loved the Fat Bottom encore! Love love love ❤️

One of the best concerts I’ve E V E R been to- Fletcher is the q***r (apparently I cant use that word?) icon I didnt have growing up, not only is her music & stage presence awesome, she comes across as caring, genuine & respectful. Can’t wait for her & the band to return to the UK!

Doors at 19.00 on a Sunday night - no support and band doesn’t come on until 21.35. How to dampen a crowd. People in front of me left after 2 tracks. Unlike the band they may have jobs to go to in the morning. Apart from that the set was okay, punctuated by muttered comments from Ian McCulloch, in fairness struggling with a sore throat. Despite being the loudest gig I have been to since Killing Joke in the 80’s. Not one word from any of the band who were not introduced, so a bit joyless, really. 3 encores in response to, erm, flagging demand, seemed unnecessary - put then could be construed as an apology to the footsore crowd I suppose.

This was the second time I’ve seen Yungblud live in Bristol. Yungblud is honestly one of the best performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing live. His stage presence is so ecstatic and it’s really exciting to see him enjoying himself so much whilst performing his music to his fans. Definitely in my Top 5 gigs I’ve been to, it has been a pleasure to photograph Dom perform twice whilst touring in Bristol!

Excellent gig ... great mix of old and new songs. I had a great view upstairs and managed to take a few good shots and vids. The band seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially the new songs - which are great. The sound in the academy is a bit hit and miss sometimes, but it was fairly good tonight. Von’s vocals are often too low, but that would be his choice. Which leaves us with muffled parts of songs. Although as we know them .. we get by. Good lights, good crowd. Great mix of songs. Glad I went.
