On a whim, I decided the night of the show to buy a ticket and drive the hour into L.A. since I have been listening to Militarie Gun nonstop for the past year. I hadn't heard anything from the opening bands, so I listened to some tracks from Heart To Gold and Gouge Away on the drive. Both sounded promising. Got there partway through Heart To Gold's set and confirmed my suspicions - even better live than recorded. Solid. Gouge Away - another step up... awesome set and the crowd was enthusiastic and energized. Militarie Gun - worth the price of admission alone. Getting kicked in the head by some crowd-killing stage diving nuts...not as fun, but this old man can state that the soreness felt for the next couple of days was a small price to pay. Great time. Glad that hardcore didn't die when I (mostly) checked out of the scene a couple decades ago.
Charlotte is fantastic. Such dope music and such a dope voice. Her band is lovely, the lighting was thoughtful, and the venue was vibey . The only reason I give four stars and not five is because she’s such a beautiful lyricist, and so you want to hear the words but the vocals themselves were muddy. A small thing. Go see her!
There was no opening band.... and they went on early 830pm ... this is the first show we've attended including Airborne where the main band doesn't have an opening act and goes on early.. so we missed half the show.. many didn't know of this and also missed out on half of the show. Don't know if was announced that there was no opening act...
went with a group of people for a friend's birthday celebrations. I hadn't heard of the group before but left the concert as a converted fan. so sad that the band will be taking a break but glad that they will be able to recharge!! was a great time.
Greg Puciato is amazing. One of the most talented artists. He put on a show that exceeded my expectations in a perfect way. Especially since it’s going to be a few years of him touring. L.A was a tough crowd though. Even with the tough crowd he managed to get my focus away from it. I definitely don’t think him and the pre show artists received the recognition they earned. I think I will stick to watching shows in San Diego or basically anywhere that’s not Los Angeles. Regardless of the crowd I had a memorable time.
Magnificent show! Two Another was amazing! They played our faves and a few new tunes, including a demo! The drummer was joining them onstage for the first time and he killed it. We danced for the entire show and we’re walking on air on the way out. Can’t wait to see them again when they’re in LA again!
It was perfect to see Wax Tailor at the El Rey! This is one of my favorite venues in LA, such a small and intimate atmosphere with a great view of the stage no matter where you are standing. Wax Tailor played all the hits, the beats were fantastic, and they were so much fun. This was a dance party on a Sunday night! The opener was good as well. I hope they come back soon. I will definitely be there!
The show was superb. Ingrid is that rare performer that can turn any venue into your living room. The intimacy of her songwriting, combined with a dynamic stage presence and genuine love and respect for her audience, guarantees a fast track to even bigger success. The finale of "Blue", set smack dab in the middle of the theater, surrounded by the crowd, was a wonderful coda to a magical night.
Hopefully, she'll follow the lead of Kacey Musgraves and migrate from country over to pop, where she'll be embraced with open arms.
I had paid for vip, I had the impression the meet and greet would have been after the show. Once doors opened at 8 and got my tickets, I had been told I missed the meet and greet event. 🥲 so disappointing, literally no information posted about the meet and greet at all! She was also late on her start time to preform, but as for the concert she was great. Vibe was immaculate. Can’t wait for another!
all of exo are such amazing performers and have great stage presence. it was honestly the best concert i’ve ever been to, and by far one of the best nights of my life. they are all extremely sweet and just amazing people which just added to how great the night was
see you next tour <3
Shows by The Darkness are always a good time - great, hard and crunchy riffs, and the band has a great sense of humor. I've seen them for nearly 20 years (since 2003), and it seems they get better every time. Definitely for fans of 70's hard and glam-ish rock (Queen, Thin Lizzy, The Sweet, Humble Pie, etc). In a just world, they'd be huge, huge stars in the US. And a great time at the El Rey - probably the most intimate venue i've seen them in, and the crowd was really into the show and the band looked like they were having a blast.
The Darkness are TOO MUCH FUN!!!! This band and Justin have always been so entertaining as well as very talented. He is just hilarious on stage, the antics, the acrobats, you can't NOT have a good time at their show. The real bright spot was watching so many people discover their opening band, The Dead Deads. 3 girls absolutely shredding with similar style and timing to their music as the Darkness. What a great night it was!
I am SO GLAD I stumbled accross their music in time to catch this show. Literally the best performance out of thousands I've been to in my life. Dorian is an incredible performer and could be playing stadiums (and will be before long, I'd bet my life on it). It was also the most friendly, accepting, inclusive, stylish, fun, pumped, and engaged crowd of any show I've ever been to. I would've gone again to see them again immediately the next night if it weren't for work. Do yourself a favor and catch one of their shows while you can.
I first discovered Hailey Whitters on YouTube watching some of her music videos and listening to her songs on spotify but didn't really follow her very closely..It wasn't until I went to a small venue in Hollywood to see this sweet young singer and new artist Emma White that I heard Ten Year Town that awakened me to find out that Hailey had written such a great song of incredible lyrics that she was so passionate about.
Well I fell in love with the song and I keep listening rediscovering Bailey's great instincts as a songwriter that I became passionate about following her I did.Last fall I went to see headlining Maren Morris doing her fabulous tour and this opportunity came about too meet Hailey who had opened for Maren.i jumped at the chance to meet her face to face..My excitement of meeting her and sharing with her my beautiful genuine words with her left me with an impeccable exciting n thrilling feeling of a smile that never ever left me..I meet a true singing sweet heart who has a heart of gold and the mind n talent to continue to pen much more sensational songs from a songstress who certainly has much to say and share lyrics that anyone listening n watching can relate too.
No doubt about it this gal from Iowa will surprise people and they will stand up and cheer for her..So check her out on all social media platforms.
Had a great time at the concert!!! It was so great to see and talk to them again. They are always so humble. I can say that they truly care about and appreciate their fans. Seeing them around the holidays really makes my year and makes me excited to hear what new music they will have in the new year. I know it will be great! #Troublemaker4life 😍
These guys put on a great live show, venue was very intimate. I’ve been a fan of VT for a few years now and was stoked to see they were nearby and at such a great price, the guys were great and made a great connection with the audience I’d definitely go see them again.
Fucken amazing! She brought life to me! I love her! I adore her! I hope I get to meet her one day! I can’t wait for to get even more big in her career than she already had done! Beautiful soul and down hands humble 🙌🏻❤️
