I absolutely love ole 60! I have been to 2 concerts so far and I’m hoping to go to many more! They do amazing crowd work their fan base are amazing people and truly I have never had a boring moment at an ole 60 concert!!!!
He's in his golden age right now folks. The old with the new.. I mean goddamn. Ain't a single song ain't hit like it wasn't a ducking classic. All props to Dj easy waters, anybody that made this possible.
I wasn't sure what to expect now that he'd gone solo. I was afraid he wouldn't play any of my old favorites, but he played lots of fan favorites, including "Find Yourself," "Forget About Georgia," "Runnin' Shine" and "Just Outside of Austin." He also played both singles from his new album, "Pretty Much" and "Ain't Done." He was high energy and got the audience involved in the action. It was so much fun! I could have watch him play for hours and hours. The opening act, Payton Howie, was entertaining, although I'd never heard of her before the show.
Val Air is great. The band was good, but I expect more from them. The songs sounded like just from the album. Nothing extra. Jam the f... out. Bring more energy. The end of the show has more energy than the rest of show. Good lights. He had a great voice. Some decent musicians, but I expect more from a band.
One of the best shows of my entire life. An unforgettable moment in time that I will be talking about for years to come. Turnover was exceptional, an album perfected. Balance and composure, with peak performance and energy. Tigers jaw has always and will always be the love of my life, flawless in their craft.
Sounded better than ever! I really enjoyed the opening of the set and appreciate that they added plenty of extra songs to the setlist after playing the album. Great choice in support bands too they were both a pleasant surprise!
The Ace Frehley show in Des Moines was so good, he brought out the strobe guitar and the classic smoking guitar! These are from the 76 &79 era, but it's still a highlight of the show! The crowd loved it and sang right along! Lots of guitar picks were thrown out, just like in the 70's! Overall it was a great evening for all! Don't miss Ace if he comes to your city or close at some point! Last but not least, The Val-Air Ballroom if you have never been to is a historic place to see a show with an excellent staff!
The HU rock every show! Things at the venue left a bit to be desired, but overall it was a great time! Did the VIP experience and will continue to every time I get the chance.
Third time seeing Dashboard live. This was the closest I’ve been so far and it was definitely worth it! He still sounds as great as he did the first time and will hopefully continue to make new music for a long time!
Such an incredible show! I was so excited to see them live. They do an incredible job of pumping up the crowd, making us feel truly valued as fans, and getting us involved. I’d love to go to another live show of theirs and hope that they come back again soon.
It was a dream come true. Dashboard Confessional got me through some pretty hard times and difficult feelings and I was so happy to be able see them live, especially with the person who introduced me to their music, my older brother.
Really outstanding show. Pure Femmes and no BS. Played Hallowed Ground album, took a break, played all of Violent Femmes album, took a brief break, played two more in encore. Waved goodnight. The band sounded fantastic. All songs were true to the original. Packed house. It was a cool flashback to the late 80s.
Chappell is literally the best! i went with my best friend and im so excited to go see her again. She has such an amazing range and everyone at the show was great
Jason Isbell always brings it to every show we've seen. We were hoping that the Val Air Ballroom would be a close intimate venue., but it wasn't. It's ok to hear some run of the mill bar band, but not for performers you actually want to hear. So much talking going on just ruins a serious performance. Will think twice before going to another show here.
If you've never seen Nonpoint live you best be getting to one of their shows soon! My son and did the Nonpoint VIP at the Val air ballroom show in Des Moines IA. Great band! They are good people. The hardest working band in the industry! 5 stars and beyond!
Great show, really glad we got to see them. To bad it’s such a crappy venue with extremely rude security personnel, so bad that we won’t ever go back to the Val Air. I’ll drive anywhere else to see a band, just never there again.
The venue needs a lot of work. Jordan did his part for sure but the sound didn’t reach the back of the building well or even the middle for that matter. It was hard to hear any of his lyrics. Not to mention the ventilation was terrible and it was like 90 degrees in there (slight exaggeration but it was hot). It was not his fault but Val Air needs to make some serious updates before they try to book anymore artists there.
My review has nothing to do with Jordan Davis as he put on a great show!!! Very disappointed in ValAir ballroom. The room was extremely hot and due to the way the venue was setup it was difficult to hear the artist in the back of the venue. ValAir also did not advertise if they were cash only or card only. This brought about confusion for many concert goers expecting to be able to use cards. They had one atm inside and it was broken. I will really think twice before Going back to ValAir again .
It was an awesome experience!!! Lilith Czar, Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, and Motionless In White put on a killer show!!! Best concert ever!!!! Had the Father RIP so that made it even better!!! My absolute favorite concert!!! And Chris from Motionless in White said hi to me!!! Plus I got to get Jake Pitts jacket and a selfie and got to say hit to Jinxx.
INK, BVB, AND MIW KILLED IT. I was 3rd/4th row middle for BVB, 2nd/3rd row for INK, and fully 2nd row for MIW. It was my first time seeing all three bands and they all KILLED it. I also had father rip and it was a blast. Really hope the BVB liked their stuffed animals I got them. ❤❤
