I've seen Bach about a dozen times, both with SR and solo, and as you know, always a great performer could be a bit of a lightning rod. However, I do side with him when SR eventually had the big blow up and split over him accepting opening for KISS reunion tour and rest of band disagreed, saying they are not an opener but a headliner. Band was wrong (at least based on what I understand about what happened. Apologies if not accurate). Anyway, he's now cleaned things up and awesome as always on stage. Personable, engaging, funny and of course entertaining but his voice is still solid. Still one of the better voices for his age, 56. And he can still move somewhat well. His mom and brother and family at the show, awesome! He gave a nice sincere shoutout to Ottawa crowd. It was overall a great experience. Totally worth the $55.
Sean Daegher got us off to a fabulous start. The crowd was excited and singing along, the vibe was amazing. Then the Johns came on and it was awful. The sound was cranked so loud it killed the vibe. All we could do was cringe and try to enjoy. My guests were wincing and I could see they were miserable. I tried moving around to the front, the back, the middle but there was no escape. You could barely hear the words, you certainly couldn't sing along. Could barely think, except mentally begging to make it stop. Nine months of excited anticipation killed by an ear bleeding sound setting. Everyone taking breathers in the bathroom were complaining as well. I spent all night trying to sleep but was so angry and was wishing we had staged a mutiny and gotten them to turn it down to the excellent levels used for Sean.
It was raining heavily outside, event security could have let people enter in waiting area, and could have checked the tickets there rather than let people get drenched in rain.
Prateek as expected was good, sound and lights were good.
Other than initial issues with security overall event was amazing.
Ari Shaffir was great as expected. The first performance seemed very amateur and I think he walked off after bombing the first 10 mins. Unfortunate that such a big headliner was coupled with much lower levelled comedians - second comedian was certainly better, not amazing though. Still a great experience overall!
Opening local band was
complimentary and a great opener before Finger 11 took the stage.
Finger 11 was outstanding doing their full second album from start to finish. These songs haven't been played live in many years.
A great all ages show and great Canadian artists. Thank you for the early Christmas gift in rocking our town.
I was front row with my girlfriend and daughters. Gowan and his band had lots of energy and a great stage presence. The sound was amazing for a concert. Only draw back was Security didn't let us stand and dance for the first 45 minutes. My youngest daughter almost fell asleep. You can't sit for a Gowan concert. That should be some sort of crime. Once we could stand and dance the concert was pretty close to perfect.
The show was awesome. It started a bit later than expected. The only problem is that I git ran over my feet by a motorized wheelchair backing up too fast. And I was in pain for the first hour and the rest of the evening was great . Thanks
Such a wonderful night. The energy was amazing. It was so incredible so just sing & dance our hearts out. Would recommend everyone sees Scott at least once. I know for sure, next time he’s in Ottawa, I’ll be there !
Also the band!!!!!!!!!!!! All around 1000/10. A fantastic show.
Absolutely enjoyable, fantastic performance where the boys gave it their all. Will attend next year when they come back to this area. Venue was not the best but regardless it worked for a very ambitious performance. A five star +.
It was a great show and Steve allways give his best for his audience even for a small venue like the one in Ottawa. Having the chance and the honor of having a great virtuose like mister Vai is greatly appreciate by the fans.
Thank you
Absolutely incredible at the Ottawa show. The vibes and atmosphere was seriously the best I’ve felt in a while. Everyone was super kind and super supportive and safe in the mosh pit. The set was all the best hits and super energetic. Grandson is an amazing performer and shout out to No Love for the Middle Child for an awesome set. 20/10
It was so much fun ! The crowd was really fun and knew most of the lyrics, and Dean was really nice too ! He kept interacting with us and we were even able to meet him after the show. I would recommend !!
It was a very entertaining., enjoyable evening. The boys were at rheir best last night and were really having fun. The first half hour was a bit long in my opinion, restricting the posibility for more variety in the show. We are so glad we had the opportunity to attend. Thank you.
Pretty good. Would have liked to have heard the song, "Inhale". i guess they are older now and the show wasn't as rocking as previous tours. Ian played alot of solos during the show. I could have done without that and instead added said song i was hoping to hear.
Big Wreck never disappoints. 7th time seeing them and I can't wait for the 8th. They're extremely talented and my fav Canadian band. Hard to find good original rock music but Big Wreck keeps creating awesome rock music.
Sierra Pilot was good too. Pleasantly surprised. Always nice to have a good opening band. Little less original overall but the band improved that aspect through their talent. Most impressed by the drummer's energy and the singer was great but still finding his place as a frontman I think. Solid band.
Overall awesome show🤘
Bought merch from both groups so they weren't just good they were 'i am happy to give my money to support the bands' good.
Sloan rocked the Bronson centre to a most welcoming crowd. They focussed on the great music in their latest release Steady and peppered in some of their classic hits along with some more obscure tracks just to keep it interesting. These guys are better than ever and they are making and performing some outstanding music. Thank you Jay, Andy, Patrick, Chris and many of many talents Gregory for a terrific night with my son.
Hotel Mira opened and as usual, the sound quality was garbage for the opening act. First time listening to them and I thought they had good energy and the front man was really engaging with the audience. Dear Rouge came on and sound was night and day. The problem with dear Rouge was the over-the-top vocal effects and backing tracks. It was quite hard to determine where the backing tracks ended and the musicianship began. Danielle sounded very robotic. There was a point where she accidentally disconnected her mic and the backing vocal track was so loud and prominent. It felt like with all the modulation, anyone could have gone up and it would have sounded pretty much the same. I understand the need for putting effects on each track to enhance the sound but I would have preferred a more raw and organic performance. Even if it came at the expense or risk of potentially not sounding exactly like the album.
These girls are unreal. They're so talented, they put on an astounding show, and their style wows me every time! They get better each time I see them live. Their energy and performance is unreal. Their band love and connectivity is so powerful that it makes them stand out as a group of gal pals just having fun jamming on stage
The show was amazing, Caleb and the boys tore the place down. Too bad OM&M missed out but hope Aaron gets better soon 🙌🏻 Like Pacific and Hands Like Houses were absolutely awesome; probably the best supporting acts I’ve seen on a tour. Amazing.
