Had a great intimate, solo performance,by Matthew Caws. Of Nada Surf. Was such a treat, being a fan for many years of Nada Surf this was really an enjoyable experience !
I have to stay tuned to Rough trade to see if there's anything else in the future that interest me...these are really once
in a life time experiences.
Matthew Caws was really such a gentleman....he chatted ,signed. Cds,albums...very nice guy....go see him on tour...with Nada Surf. Oct 4. Webster Hall.....see these bones !
It was an intimate solo performance by Matthew Caws. The sound was great and Matthew sang new and old hits from Nada Surf and other projects. It was about as good as it gets.
A chance to attend an interview with Robyn Hitchcock with Rolling Stone’s David Fricke at the helm? Yes please and Thank You! Seated in the second row, center I was treated to not only that, but a musical performance of some of the tunes from his upcoming companion album to his current literary offering 1967: How I Got Here and Why I Never Left. The surprise duets with his wife, the sweet voiced Emma Swift was the cherry on top. The signing, an opportunity to speak with them both was unforgettable. What a lovely evening that I’m still floating on a cloud from. Big thanks to everyone at Rough Trade for hosting this memorable event!
Had a really good time. P.D's music and lyrics are timeless and capture more than your attention. They are quest-like and invoke nostalgia. Its truly a jam session and fun time hearing him live.
He's also a very sweet, witty, present, humble/talented guy with a really good memory. I encourage those not familiar with his music to check him out. When you hear his music you become a life long listener.
The show was great. It was an awesome acoustic set followed by a meet and greet. The band members are all down to earth and very nice people. It was a fun time.
Loved that the venue was a tiny cute record store, hated that they made us sit on the floor which I get, the girls were sitting during the performance and q&a but just 5 minutes in people found their way in front of me standing blocking my view and the staff did nothing about it. 5 stars for tegan and sara venue 3 stars
awesome event. Store staff was being super strict with rules and Cari made each person feel their interaction was worth the wait.
Saw the beautiful Megan Wedren at this show. cool venue. Great opener that gave me his cd and like the disc I gave craig in 1997 got tossed aside.lol I think he /they might have listened to it bc he came up to my guitar player and myself on the way to the mic
@Iyla Is The Real Deal! That Becomes Clear When You See Her Videos. It Becomes Even Clearer When You Listen To Her Music. However, It Becomes Crystal Clear Of Just How Mega Talented Iyla Is When You See Her Live! Iyla Came Out After A Strong Performance By Her Opening Act YaSi, And Demanded The Audiences Attention By The Sheer Factor Of Her Stage Presence. Iyla’s Dark Blue Body Suit Which Showed All Of Her Legs Combined With The Sheer Booty Cape Completely Set Off Her Look! As She Mentioned As A New Artist Selling Out A Venue Such As @RoughTradeNYC Was An Incredible Feat. Now Even Though These Aren’t “Radio Hits,” In The Music Buying And Streaming Community, And Especially In The Iyla Concert Going Fanbase The Hits Just Never Stopped Coming! I Don’t Think She Did Every Song On Both Albums, But She Came Very Close, And Would We Have Liked To See Her Beginnings In The Dance Music Genre Do A Quick Medley? I Think So, Absolutely Yes! Bottom Line, When Iyla Comes To Your Town You Better Catch These Soulful Barz This Young Soul Singer Is Pitching To Us All! #GoCatchIylaLive!
Short acoustic set followed a Q&A. Full package was a great deal (cd/album), q&a, 3 song set, and signing for 17 dollars.
Cat Clyde has reached an elite level of singer / songwriter / performers with just her second album. Her shows are tight. She writes bluegrass, country and folk songs and her band matches her happy energy. Expect to see her at bigger venues and festivals. Highly recommended.
Unique show as it was a solo set. I thought she sounded great and it was a very intimate and relaxed concert with a good atmosphere. She played a ton of the new record and those songs sounded great stripped down.
Last night was worth every bit of hearing loss I endured. So glad to be reminded how great these dudes are live! Can’t wait to see them again.
Amazing musicianship! Jordan’s new album speaks to his genius. His music moves the body, mind & spirit. And the venue, Rough Trade, was fantastic!
the show was fantastic! robbie was so interactive with the crowd and stayed after the show to meet everyone. i was able to get my ukulele signed by him. he’s an excellent musician and i recommend seeing him live to anyone who’s a fan of his!
absolutely amazing!!!!! i got to meet her and got a picture with her and it was the best night of my life!!!
The band delivered a great, intimate set at Rough Trade. Na’el hung our after the show to sign autographs, take pics with fans (including me) and to say thank you for all the love and support...I still believe in Magic ✨✌🏽
Loved it! These dudes totally killed it. Loved the Weezer cover the most, or whatever 90s band they covered. I was very impressed with their opening acts too. Both TWEN and Ian Ferguson player resounding sets. Hoping to see more of all these bands.
5 stars for my bois their show was a freakin blast as usual and I got to meet them which was so cool. They are so genuine and kind and their music is the greatest. Love them so much!!
