The orchestra was louder than the music from Whitney Houston.Very difficult to hear her songs.
I was disappointed they didn't complete
" I will always love you " at the end of the show. I don't think I was alone in feeling disappointed.
They filled the stage with joyful energy. The crowd was with them every minute, almost the whole crowd getting up and dancing in the aisles at one point. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Pokey entertained an enthusiastic audience here in Paris with songs from his new album plus classics we know and love. Congratulations on your 10th album Pokey! We love your music! Looking forward to seeing you perform again in Paris this November.
This was a stellar event! The show was free and first come first serve seating! The performance was amazing with Pokey doing lots of songs from his upcoming album a well as some old fan faves. Such a fun SATURDAY NIGHT at the Kennedy Center!
Stella's Christmas special was one of my holiday highlights. Such Beaty and talent. The band was soo talented. The food was excellent. Combined it was a great evening. Only wish it was a longer show.
Mom and I truly enjoyed his presence and the band. He has the storyteller vibe with his music. He mixed it up. We were in the top tier seating but it didn't matter. We felt the vibes. Very enjoyable.
The music was terrific. The sound system did not seem to be adequate for Jim Caviezel, too bad. The orchestra seemed well rehearsed and sounded great.
Annie and group, always an inspiration.
Amazing, surreal experience. He sounds just as good as he did back in 96’. :)
-I wish I could’ve taken some videos for memories. but I understand that that would have taken away from the experience
Maxwell was SPECTACULAR as usual His look His sound His moves His everything cause that what he is; Mr Everything Wonderful. He has been truly blessed by the best and I am so grateful to him for sharing all of it with us. He surely deserves a STANDING OVATION AND THEN SOME 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
By far, one of the best concerts I e attended this year. Jacob Collier is one of the most talented musicians on the earth. He had a choir that performed last night that left me speechless. I will definitely be attending future Jacob Collier concerts.
The most magical night of my life. Natalie Merchant is a national treasure. At 60 years old, her voice is stronger and more lovely than ever. She abounded with endless, positive energy and vibes the entire evening. She dug deep into her quite eclectic catalog singing songs that span her almost fourty year career. The highlights are to numerous to mention them all. She performed with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra who were stellar per usual. As Miss Merchant said, symphony music is not dead in Rhode Island. It is very much alive. She told the audience that she hadn’t experienced such excitement and enthusiasm from an audience in a long time. She also told us that she will remember her night in Providence for a very long time. What an added thrill for all of us.
This concert is a potpourri of a wide array of musical genres from a legendary innovator who has 50 years or demonstrable brilliance, dedication and courage. I never tire of coming to a PM concert!
Mrs. CeCe Winans show was just amazing I will cherish this moment for ever. I simply love her. She is such a beautiful talented anointed faithful woman of God. Mrs. CeCe is my inspiration and I inspire to live by her love for Jesus.🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽 She deserves all of her flowers💐💐💐💐💐
I have been following this amazing singer/song writer since I was in high school and “Alive on Arrival” blew me away! I’m now in my 60’s and have seen Steve perform live too many times to count from the “Tin Angel” in Philadelphia to “Nell’s Jazz & Blues Club in London, England. The Kennedy Center was another example of his excellence! Thank you and George, Steve!
The “Big City Cat” brought it once again!
Joe Riley!
An unforgettable experience that I'll keep my entire life. So thankful to the brilliant performers and the venue. I hope I get to see another performance by the two, together or separate.
The show was AMAZING. I saw Eric in Baltimore earlier this year and I thought that show was great but the show at the Kennedy Center was beyond my expectations. He is so deserving of all the good things his way....such a talent and a humble spirit!
Such a beautiful experience after 2 years of not going to an alive concert. He is such a talented artist but top high level with Symphony Orchestra was a magnificent show! Thank you so much for your existence and for sharing with your fans the best of you 😍
It was a Great Show!! Oddisee & Good Company are amazing together!! Good Vibes, Great Energy, and an Amazing Memory!! Got his picture and autograph! He signed a boook! Plz Attend this Performance!!
Had no idea what to expect but as totally blown away by the show which had the makeup of a performance suited for a smaller more intimate venue but went over very well at The Kennedy Center!
It didn’t hurt having Stacey Ann Chin as part of the ensemble to bring the message being conveyed by Meshell and the other vocalists home with gritty spoken word prowess as only she could deliver!
As expected, the musicianship of her band was superb. It’s ability to paint a primal picture, at times melancholy then exuberant, of the theme implied by the production’s title ‘The Fire Next Time: The Gospel According To James Baldwin’, mesmerized the audience so that you were forced to sit silently and listen intensely or get up and dance a jig at the invitation of the performers.
Anyone who didn’t feel inspired enough to get involved in social justice issues on some level after witnessing this show had to be comatose! And that’s why I’m looking forward to a recording being made available to share with those who couldn’t make it to the revolution unleashed last night!!
I throughly enjoyed it. It was first time seeing her and I was pleasantly surprised at the theme of the concert. I only wished I could have heard some of her previous songs
