i dont know why it wont let me give a full 5 stars but this show was probably one of the best shows ive ever been to. both of the openers playing that night were local artists and they are also my friends like a lot of people in the local scene!! everyone there was so nice and i also got to meet gost himself after the show and he is such a kind soul 🥹 i love that guy 🫂
It was an amazing opportunity to see my favorite artist perform in the only location that I was able to go to that was close to me. The show was great, although there were 2 girls in front of my by the right side of the front stage from the viewers pov and they were pretty rude and tried to push me back away from the stage. VIRA did an absolutely amazing performance. I managed to give her a purple bracelet with her name on it which was an absolute amazing feeling for me, I do wish that she did go around like the whole stage because she was mostly at the middle of the stage interacting with the crowd from the middle part. But other than all that, the show was awesome!!
In a word - Amazing! That man not only knows how to play the guitar better than almost everyone on the planet, he also knows how to put on an amazing stage show with the simplest of props on stage. He doesn’t need much. The talent and his natural showmanship do the rest. All I can say is that, after seeing this man three times now, I am no less impressed. If you have a chance to see John 5 solo, as it’s far less expensive, take it. If you want to see him with Motley Crue, go for it. If he went back to playing for Rob Zombie, go. However you can see the man, see him. You will not be disappointed.
It was the end of their tour, and they looked tired. I hope Eamon can retain his voice long term as this band is the funnest band I have ever seen perform live. With that said, I haven't seen The Hives, which might be close. They held the energy as long as they could and then left. It was a tight 50-minute set. The entire night was a great experience, with the entire night being super fun. The set changes were minimal, which kept the energy flowing.
The whole concert, from the VIP event through the lights coming up was just incredible.
Parking was a breeze.
At the door the staff had the line divided into 2 parts, general admission and VIP. Getting in was a simple as providing my name. I was actually about 95th out of 100 people but the band was extremely affable, joking around with us and having a good time. At no point did anything feel rushed, it all just progressed naturally.
The 3 acts - Edge of Paradise, Amaranthe and of course Dragonforce - were incredible. Personally I think that the opening set by EoP was a little short - I don't think it was quite 30 minutes. But it is what it is and it ultimately rocked. Amaranthe just blew the crowd away. What can i say about Dragonforce? Seeing their videos the musicianship is obvious but to see them live, holy crap, it's just awesome.
The venue. It's very basic, a small bar at the back, in front and to the left of that is the sound area. Along the right side (stage left) is a bench running the length of the wall. That's where I spent the night as I cannot stand for any length of time. Then of course the far wall is dominated by the stage.
I believe that the max occupancy is 300 people, if I had to guess I'd say that was hit.
Exiting the building after the show was fairly quick and easy. Getting out of my parking space was simple and getting on the road was a breeze.
If I had the chance to do it all over again - I would in a heartbeat.
This was our first time attending an event at The Nile, and it was comparable to The Marquee in Tempe, which was fine. Entry through security was quick and easy. The sound system wasn't great, but it did improve with each act and was decent when Dragonforce took the stage.
As for Amaranthe, I had heard a few songs by them, so I had an idea of what kind of music to expect. My daughter and I so enjoyed their performance! The vocalists and musicians are very talented people and they put on a great show! We plan on attending any future concerts they appear in!!
No words that I’ll type here will even begin to explain how incredible this show was! Confessions of a Traitor put on an incredible performance. They’re super talented musicians and they know how to get the crowd feeling seen and energized. Stephen engages with the crowd like no frontman I’ve ever seen before! Then, Convictions… man, what a band. I spoke with Michael briefly at the venue and then more over Instagram. Solid band, solid foundation, strong faith and a strong message. I can’t believe how powerful this band is. Convictions are keeping Christian Hardcore music alive and WELL! Don’t miss out on seeing either of these bands live.

It was a phenomenal event, definitely was my bucket list concert. The Nile theater venue is an awesome place for concerts. Nice place with alot of character, the venue allows for more intimate concerts and I've made new friends in the metal community. Lacuna Coil is at the top of my list for European metal bands. They are truly amazing and put on a memorable show. Every member is so talented and works hard at what they love doing. The vip meet n greet is worth it. I'll remember that forever. Thank you Lacuna Coil!
It was amazing!! Seven Spires was so good up on stage with super high energy with each song they played. I enjoyed the show so much, but I was a bit sad after their set I had found out the Meet & Greet was before the show and not after. So I had bought meet & greet package but never got to use it. Besides that, they were absolutely awesome and the other two in the lineup, Omnium Gatherum and Eluveitie were also pretty badass up on stage!!
Best concert ever, they really know how to put on a show. Their opening bands were great and did not disappoint! Merchandise was fully in stock and had all sizes available. Music was great. Only thing is that since the venue is small, the music is very loud, so you might want to wear earplugs cause I was in the middle area and my ears are still ringing😂😂. Totally worth it tho.
DES ROCS is the SHIZZLE. This guy knows how to blow the roof off of a venue!! The crowd was SO INTO his music.
The venue, on the other hand, is not so great. It felt dangerously over crowded, like hard to believe the number of people in that tiny room was the capacity allowed. If there had been a fire we all would have died. So I won't be going back to this venue, but I will go see Des Rocs every single time he is in town. GO SEE HIM before he gets too popular to play these smaller venues!
Words cannot describe this show. I have seen MANY metal shows in my 46 years... This is a battle for the best show I've ever been to. Intense energy. After chatting with the guys before and after, it is very clear just how much these lyrics come from their heart. They are immensely humble. And even they realize they're hanging on tight for the ride. They don't want to admit it, but I made sure to tell them just how big they're blowing up in the US right now. So amazing
The entire concert was an amazing experience. This was my third time seeing La Dispute and the 10 year anniversary tour for the Wildlife album was amazing the whole band did the album Justice beyond an amazing experience with in the whole venue. The community together is like having a safe space and treat each other like family. If you ever get the chance to experience something like this do not miss you, I took my 64 year old father and he absolutely loved it and the environment as well as the music.

Fantastic, full of energy and fun. Everything sounded great at the Nile Theater.
I saw them in Flagstaff last March at a much smaller venue and it was a great show, but sounded crazy loud in the small bar venue. I preferred seeing them in a smaller more intimate venue.
But they played great shows in both venues. Absolutely fantastic musicians!
Thanks for all the rockin out, hoping to see Bridge City Sinners again.
I traveled from Tucson to see them & each time I was glad I took the trip to see their show (even the 4 plus hours bus trip I took that afternoon to get to see them. They played PHX, the next day but I wanted to see them in a smaller setting.
Then a 2 hour drive to go up to PHX to see them play with twin temple!
Y'all kick butt!
I'd give John 5 more than 5 stars if I could. The man is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen. He makes it look effortless. And the band was just having a blast on stage. At one point he was trying to stump the band and get them to follow along as he played a medley of famous songs. The whole band was so tight they never missed a step.
Seriously awesome show. The band was on point. Everyone in the crowd was singing, dancing, and jumping… which says a lot because it was five zillion degrees inside the Nile. Legit, everyone was pouring sweat.
What’s really cool is that the band made a point of asking people to look out for each other and make sure there were no medical issues. Apparently, they’d gone to the hardware store and bought a ton of fans prior to the show. They were tossing water bottles out to the crowd… and the crowd legit shared them and passed them to people who needed them. You hear things about other bands having horrifying issues with people being crushed and bands egging on the crowd. These guys took control and made sure there wasn’t a problem before anything could possibly happen… not that it would - The Wrecks fans are the best. People were so polite and considerate - but this was above and beyond. Just truly great humans all around.
I don’t know how they kept up with the show given the heat, but they did awesome. They even brought out super soakers and sprayed the crowd to Sheryl Crow’s Soak Up the Sun. Hilarious and fun. I guess a kid contacted them and asked if he could play at the show with them… they brought him up for a song. Super cool.
I can’t stress it enough. Good people. Great show. Fantastic music. My faith in humanity is restored. Thanks so much guys!!!
First time at the Nile and The Underground lives up to all the reviews. It's a dive. Surprisingly the sound was pretty good and it was a good show. Luckily the place wasn't packed. Had it been I would have to review accordingly. It got warm. I can only imagine a full house. All in all though we enjoyed it. Brought me back to my time in these places and a first for my wife. Opening bands were killer as well.
The sound engineer muffled DragonForce guitars so much it sounded like it was just bass a drums were mixed very well with very low low low guitars. When the guitars were doing their solos it sounded like it was just a drum solo. It's a shame since it's a guitar driven band. My family went and they felt the same way. One of my family members never heard DragonForce before and said they were terrible....then we left early since we couldn't hear the guitars anyway..and I put on DragonForce on the car radio and my family member who doesn't know DragonForce was like who's this playing? We all yell out !!DragonForce!! And they were like they sound awesome!! And we're all like weeee knooooow!! Then I say it was the sound engineer..he ruined the DF show.
