Great line up for this all afternoon and evening event. All bands were excellent thoroughly enjoyed Fast Ball and Heartless Bastards. To see both at one show was a dream come true!
This was all for a great cause assisting the Austin music scene. Empire facility was the best! True for the cause. See you next year.
We were a little worried when we first saw the venue but once inside the place was great. It does say garage in the name of the place. It has been converted from a garage quite well. Good place to see a show like this, good sound, overall the acoustics were very good. As for the show(s) all three bands were good but as many of the tee shirts in the crowd made note of "Madam Radar Kicks A$$". That was right on! High energy, great music, great harmony within the band, they play and sing together extremely well. All original stuff that will leave you singing or at least humming the songs on your way.
Amazing! DOROTHY’s performance was electric, and her band was absolutely on point. I loved seeing such a wide range of fans in the audience—from the young to the young at heart—which speaks volumes about her lasting impact. The energy throughout the night was contagious. I've been following her since nearly the beginning of her career, and it's been incredible to watch her evolution. After everything she’s been through personally, she seems to have come through the other side stronger, happier, and healthier—both in spirit and sound. I can’t wait to see what her next chapter holds.
She always puts on a fun show, and seeing her in a smaller venue was a great experience. She didn't play too much of the new stuff that she just released, but that was fine by me, because I like the stuff from last year a lot too.
I will say that the energy level of the band wasn't as good as when I saw them in Austin in 2024, also the people I was with SWORE she lip synched a couple of the songs. I didn't notice it, but the audio mix did have the vocals down way too low and the drums a bit too high. I know she just kicked off this tour, so maybe they can work out the technical issues.
I only caught the last 3 songs from the opening band, BodyImage, but I enjoyed what I heard and look forward to seeing more from her in the future.
I need two places to review this: one for the show itself, and one for the venue!
The show was excellent, lots of energy from all three bands, set lengths were just right, and I heard my favorite songs from each of them! I also enjoyed chatting with various band members at the merch booth. Couldn't afford most of the merch, but that's not their fault. (Thank you, ultraQ, for having a good option for us broke people: a $5 keychain!)
Regarding the venue: My husband is mobility impaired and on crutches, which was a huge challenge during SXSW the week before this show. So it was a delightful shock when we made it about 10 steps inside this venue before the stage manager came hurrying up to us to offer a place to sit (a stool next to the stage) in the otherwise standing-room-only concert area! He even checked on us from time to time! When we needed to wait for an Uber after the show, Sam (the guy manning the front door then) was also quick to offer up his stool; he followed up by helping us look out for our ride, and even walked half a block to where the car stopped so he could help us get ourselves and the crutches inside! (Did I mention Sam uses a cane/walking stick himself?)
Fantastic overall experience; we're looking forward to future shows from Stateside, ultraQ, and Anxious, and we'll definitely be back to the Empire Control Room!
if i could rate it more than five stars, i would. it was the best experience of my entire life and the best day ive ever had in my entire years of living. everyone at the venue was so nice, air conditioning was great, they gave us water in line, and the whole concert was amazing. infinite stars. true story!!
The meet & greet and the show WAS the best concert I’ve witness in the last 5yrs (too 2). It was worth every penny! The guys were super nice, they took the time to chat with you and even thanked me for being a fan. Can’t wait to see them again in Ohio!!!! BEST BAND EVER!!!
Amazing show! Escuela Grind brought some amazing energy to kick things off and Baroness closed out the evening with a spectacular performance! I am so glad I got to see the show from the front row. Scored the setlist and a pick from Gina. 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼
Excellent. Baroness top shelf as always. Escuela singer in pain before show wearing a back brace but totally put the work in, high energy. Once drums started you never knew. Blown away. Great show. Much props to all.
This was a night I’ll always remember!! It was so lit and so much fun I was right in front of the stage with Christian and Nick right there!! Idc how far I gotta drive I’ll make it to their next show in Austin again if they don’t come out to Dallas!!! Te Amo Mucho!! ❤️ It was even more dope to meet and talk to Christian, Nick, and Aldrch!!!! I was fan girling hard as’f and taking pics with them was too lit!! 🔥 The tour merch is badass and so worth it! My sisters and I all had a great time seeing Poptropicaslutz!
This was the absolute best concert I have ever been to and will ever go to. I got to talk to the band personally and I had them sign stuff for me and take a picture with me and my mom. They were so sweet and the concert itself was so fun. The energy was terrific and the vibes were immaculate. Love love loved it! 💗
It was the best show I had been to in decades. Was up front for the entire show. Godflesh nailed every song. They played for 90 minutes and played so many of my favorites. I can't believe they played Dead Head and Slateman. They rocked out on borrowed gear and didn't miss a beat!
i’m gonna be honest, i went to this concert for the opener (moontower) because i saw them open for the driver era and just haddd to see them again but i will happily say i fell in love with weathers. their performance was amazing and their music is so good!!
Everything I could’ve hoped for and more. It felt as if I were going to see my best friend perform for the first time. He made me feel seen like someone he’s known for years and not just a random stranger who showed up to crash a party. The most personal concert experience/experience PERIOD I’ve ever had. Thank you, Corey 🤍
I was in the front like very front. Some fat ass huge 350 pound mexican dude completely just stole my spot when the security dude was asking us to get back so he could fix the gate. Fucking fatass loser. You suck so much dick and have no life. Average Ken Carson fan is 400 lbs. Lonely was absolutely amazing tho no complaints there. But fuck all of you who push to the front it’s ridiculous you all have no lives.
Where Is TLOP5 Deluxe Please
The concert was moved to Parish, which is another great, small venue. The show was awesome. The band made it obvious they were excited to be back touring in the US. They played a great selection of songs, with Whirring as the perfect closing number. Highly recommend catching them on the tour if you have the opportunity!
Had never listened to them before but a friend from work was going so figured I’d check it out before heading back to FL tomorrow.
Glad I did! They rock live and the music is great. Tight sound musically, great musicians & vocals, and the dueling female lead vocalists/growlers kicked ass!
I’ve listened to Julian for awhile now, so my boyfriend and I definitely had to drive down to come see his music live. He was the absolute sweetest, and we can’t wait until we get to see and support another show of his! <3
Allen & the two opemiy acts were fantastic. This venue needs better attention to their restrooms. Sewer smell & water all over the bathroom. Also, they need more bleachers or chairs for short people to stand. I barely was able to see the show at all. I moved around to try & get a good vantage point & nothing helped. Probably wouldn't return to this venue. Its not set up well to see the stage from the back of the venue.
Amazing show! I was worried that because it was a small venue, the show would be not as good as the last time I saw them in a big venue, but I was wrong! Bad Omens brought the same high energy they always do! They were simply amazing and also so nice to everyone who wanted pics/autographs. Can't wait to see them whenever they come back!
