Great gig. First set was Ensoulment album in its entirety Second set was all the hits and old album tracks. Started at 8:15 played the new album then had a 15 mins break then came back on and played the old songs, the concert finished at around 10:45. Band were great, excellent acoustics and ambience

Absolutely stunning performance from all the band . Amazing to have no phones dominating the skyline and atmosphere. Thanks so much for doing these gigs . So special , adored by the Edinburgh crowd ❤️👍

Absolutely outstanding performance as usual. Nadine has a voice that could knock any opera singer out the park. Just a pity it was seated cause it was itching to dance x

I have been meaning to catch "Gonzo" for ages, and last night, it happened. I totally love his broad contradictions of style, as did the whole audience. The way he can go from such delicate finger pieces on the piano to total chaotic thunder and back again is a sight to behold. The band were all up to the task and cooed well with the apparent chaos. Highlight for me was "Never Stop" Chilly Rap version and Chilly going through the stalls high giving everyone and standing on the backs of the chairs. Also new track F*** Wagner on Timpani was another crazy detour. In Gonzo we trust.

These guys are so good with the Fleetwood Mac material. Sophie's Christine Mcvie is just perfect Jess's Stevie Nicks Faultless. Nice to hear some new material in the set too. Just a shame that some members of the audience spoiled the ambience of the show by chattering and giggling.

Brilliant night; two back to back sets without support, they played for over 2 hours packed with hits and favourites. Great crowd and great energy in an intimate venue.

Firstly, the venue. This was my first time in Edinburgh's Usher Hall. Apparently it holds about 2500 and it was full for this gig. I was in the Upper Circle - try to avoid if at all possible! The seats are small, hard and with very little leg room. In fact, I was so cramped and sore that my legs gave way when standing! These seats would be better used as torture devices. Anyway, all I can say about The Dead South is that it was the best concert I've ever been to! For me this tops my favourite group (Eagles), David Bowie, The Who, The Rolling Stones, just simply every gig I've been to. Maybe it was the venue but hey, the group was absolutely spot on. A duo from Australia opened with a few pretty decent tunes (sorry but I just can't remember their names! Embarrassing as they were pretty good). They really warmed the room up well for the main act. Well, the audience really got into The Dead South's stuff straight from the off. The crowd was singing, clapping, having a rare old time. Every song was greeted with a massive cheer. They played a few songs from their new album, but I think the best reaction came from some of their older songs, in particular 'In Hell I'll Be In Good Company' 'Black Lung' and 'Bastard Son'. They did a two song encore. The second of these was 'Banjo Odyssey' and the roar from the audience nearly lifted the roof off! I will definitely have to see The Dead South again. Once is just not enough!

The show started with A acoustic set with the ban sitting down playing songs like chocolate girl queen of the new year the second set was a greatest hits set highlights being loaded dignity twist and shout and Fergus sings the blues

Echo and the bunnymen played 2 sets on Thursday night the first set was a greatest. Hits set including rescue nothing everl lasts forever and ending the first set with bring on the dancing horses the secon set featured the Liverpool royal philharmonic orchestra and the album ocean rain being played in full highlights being silver killing moon and ocean rain the encore was band only playing lips like sugar and the cutter a brilliant concert. 🌃🌉

Saw them 40 years previously on the ‘Crystal Day’ in Liverpool,now tonight in Edinburgh. Performing classics and Ocean Rain in its entirety, just disappointing that it had to end. Love to ‘Mac’ and Will Hopefully see you soon again 🙏

Midge was brilliant as usual. I saw him first with Ultravox in 1986 on the U-Vox tour, I was just 15. Since then I've seen his more intimate solo shows in smaller venues where it felt like a conversation in his living room with some brilliant music thrown in for good measure. This gig was something different entirely, opening with a smattering of solo greats then into Rage in Eden tracks and a song I never thought I'd ever hear live. No Regrets... I was like a puppy with two tails. By the time the gig was nearing its conclusion and Midge burst into Dancing with tears in my eyes, I realised that although I hadn't been dancing I still had tears in my eyes. I've been humming these songs since...sometimes from the moment I open my eyes in the morning. Utterly, utterly brilliant.

A great band showcasing the songwriting talents of the incredible Adrianne Lenker and my second time of seeing them. The evening did not go without hitches though, some of them customary and some of them new. First was the support L’Rain. Big Thief champion some pretty left- field talent but I felt that L’Rain were really poor - incomprehensible vocals and unconvincing sound-making. I like experimentation, but this was like wandering into someone’s bedroom where someone’s mates were noodling away at untuned instruments, making stuff up on the spot, much like the ambient drone of the support for their last British tour. Just as they were about to come one someone fainted in the crowd and delayed the start a little, but finally they arrived. They worked their way through various strong Big Thief tracks focusing on their latest album release ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I believe in You.’ So far so good, but the idiosyncrasies of their performances do creep in - long delays between songs for tuning, discussions between band members and then some songs either repeated or abandoned due to some perceived imperfection or misjudgement of tempo. They do warm up though and the tracks progress from acoustic folk to heavier rock, Then as they begin their best known track ‘Not’, another person faints in the audience requiring a delay to extricate them. Lenker attempts a do over of ‘Not’ but the moment has passed and it is abandoned in favour of an acoustic sing-a-long to ‘Change’ after which they walk off stage. An encore delivers 2 more tracks with a rousing version of ‘Spud Infinity’ at the end and it’s all over. I don’t think this evening is atypical for them but you have to accept big thief for what they are: a prolific and talented studio outfit who bring a homespun charm to their live touring. Lenker is an artist for the current times: androgynous and possibly neuro-diverse to boot, which means focus and flow are sometimes lacking. I forgive them though.

Pavement were outstanding. I loved every minute. They managed to squeeze in most of their best songs to a set lasting just under 2 hours. Please please come back soon.. I wasn't so keen on the support act, Cracked Cloud. I didn't know the songs, but on this performance wouldn't buy their stuff. Every song quite uptempo, energetic, but lyrics mostly just a noise. I couldn't make out what they were on about and not enough melody to make up for the lack of unintelligible lyrics.

I enjoyed the concert - so full of good music. I bought my ticket and booked my Hotel because it stated that Storm Large would be appearing but she didn't. I was very disappointed that Storm didn't perform as that was my reason for travelling to Edinburgh to see this show. On saying that, the music and concert by Pink Martini was really enjoyable.

Fantastic concert and such a joy to the senses - look of the musicians, sounds of all the instruments, sensations of the music going through your body, what a wonderful experience.

The quality of the sound, visuals and performance by Lewis and his band was breathtaking - totally awesome . My first time seeing Lewis live. Magical evening. I can’t wait to repeat this!

Fantastic experience, hit after hit, true professionals, can't fault it, value for money. I'm not a massive fan so didn't know all their catalogue but the crowd knew every word of every song which made for an incredible atmosphere

The pretty boys know how to make an amazing setlist, pick the best venues and play the most memorable concerts ever. Their stage energy is match by the crowd who refuse to stand still at any given moment. Banger after banger, the show tops itself with every song that follows.
