Fantastic show. A blend of old and new stuff. First Circle, Phase Dance, Bright Size Life, Song for Bilbao, the Side eye III album Don't Look Down, In On It, and then came back with a :20 encore. I was so thrilled almost bought tickets for San Diego concert. A great show every time when Pat is in town.
Best Metheny show I’ve seen in years. Pat plus an incredible band (keyboards, drums, stand up bass, percussion/voice) just made magic all night. Great combination of new tracks and classics as well. Thanks Pat!
She is the most energetic and fun and informative musician - certainly of all organists. Such an audience delight. The skill of her arranging and performance are extraordinary.
Only challenge is that she speaks so darn fast - enthusiasm gets the best of her. A most worthwhile show!!!
Great concert. Lush orchestrations, many by Nelson Riddle. Played by LA Phil. Very nice. Occasionally I wished his mic was a tad louder. It was a treat to hear one song for the encore - in some of his character voices from Family Guy. Very fun. Loved Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered was a soaring hit.
Okay,
I missed The Roots at UCLA in the early 2000's and have been kicking myself and kicking myself for decades. Then my wife got us tickets to see them at the Disney Concert Hall on New Year's Eve, and let me tell you, whatever she paid, it was not enough for what these do! 1. They had two shows and they sprinted a marathon to give you back to back to back to back songs, the energy never went down from the first second. The audience was up and dancing, people were singing along, and people who I don't know were embracing me as a friend as The Roots created a wonderful sense of community and love through a celebration of not only their music, but of all music that inspired them. Damon Eugene Bryson, the tuba player, went out into the audience in a way that made me feel like I was back home in Louisiana, the guitaris, Captain Kirk Douglas, took us to new heights of musical meditation and grooviness with his incredible solo that last like 10 minutes. The venue is one of the best places to see performers, and the band catered to being surrounded by an audience, and I just want to thank them for making a great night where the best of our humanity could come out and see each other and have that connection of community. They are incredible and I'm a better person for having seen them and experienced what they bring to this world.

So beautiful. There was truly an inner light and brilliance radiating from her. Such an intimate venue, especially from row CC! An incredible set list as well, so many surprises! Love you faye

81 years young and hasn't missed a beat! Played a lot of songs I didn't know - felt like an intimate get together instead of a concert. I loved everything I heard but he only played just a few of his hits. Overall GREAT show!
The venue was great, the musicians were outstanding and Boz was dead on. However, if you were expecting to hear all the Soz hits, you were in for a disappointment. He played a lot of covers, Blues, and jazz. I was. more than a bit disappointed
A stunning venue with perfect acoustics set the stage for a man so full of joy he exploded ! OK, that’s an exaggeration, but having the opportunity to hear, John Baptiste explore classical music with his own New Orleans style of jazz was worth the trip to DTLA.
This magical experience left my husband and I at a loss for words. The energy and passion in the space reverberated through every inch. We experienced joy in most beautiful way. We shared in the magic Jon curated and felt connected to the strangers next to us-even shared a tear. I will be playing back this incredible night in my mind for the rest of my life. Thank you Jon, we love you!
Jason is one of greatest gifts our music generation has to offer. At 54 I've played my share of music and witnessed talented people from one side of this country to the other. And very few can move like this gentleman does. And this venue gave my wife and I a night we'll never forget. 🙏🏻 Thank you for the hospitality, comfort and sound quality of this great venue.
Leslie is a must see live. I thought it was impossible for him to sound any better than he already does. Leslie has an incredible range and vocal register. He did a wide variety of Christmas songs...even in other languages. There was a little something for everyone young and old. His band/backup singers are very talented too. I feel sorry for those who thought the concert was over and missed the extended encore. This was my favorite concert this year.
Jamie and his talented and energetic band killed it. They turned Disney Hall into an intimate, rockin’ club. Musicianship at the highest level. 4th time seeing JC in LA and he always brings high energy but knows how to present a balanced show with it’s beautiful, quiet moments. Alone w the piano for “All at Sea” was a high point but the Nina Simone cover of “Sinnerman” was thrilling !
The best concert ever! She is soooo much better live like i wish she could release a live version album of this concert. i don’t even wanna hear any of her music anymore because none of it will top this performance.
i actually teared up during posing for cars. i have no other words to say. if i could buy a ticket for the 9/28 performance i would.
Venue: fabulous
Event tickets: way too expensive
Event program: perfect
Concert performance: beautiful
Mitsuko Ushida encore: mean spirited, disrespectful to audience
Many thanks & regards

Concert was excellent, but this was a marketing misrepresentation of the show that was. It wasn’t Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, was Nathaniel Rateliff and the LA Phil doing Harry Nilsson’s album “A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night”. Incredible performance regardless.
I found his music in a rough point in my life and was planning a trip to fly to Europe to see him. I got very lucky that his tour was rescheduled so to see him in famous Walt Disney concert hall was incredible!! I didn’t sit back in my seat once it was truly so amazing and the talent just flows out of him . I left just stunned in silence trying to take it all in and commit the whole experience to memory . 100% will be seeing him again hopefully multiple times !
