Brigitte Calls Me Baby is a great band, delivering another electrifying performance. I wasn't happy with the sound mix, however. It was too loud, and I was mostly getting thumping bass and loud guitar. I wasn't getting much mid-range where I was standing. I could barely hear the singer, which is deeply unfortunate, since that is the band's single best feature. I noticed the venue has large speaker towers on the right and left sides, but nothing in the middle.
When I saw Brigitte at 7th Street Entry, it was a more intimate venue, they had a center speaker and the volume and mix were FAR superior.
If I was less satisfied than at the Entry, I don't blame the band for that; I blame the venue! Come on, guys, give us a little better balance than this.
Love these guys! Was blown away by how into it the crowd was, one of the most passionate and fun audiences I have been a part off! Only complaint is for the sound guy, we literally couldn’t hear a majority of Schuylars vocals…but I won’t hold it against the band…great show! Can’t wait for the next one!
don't know if you will truly see this, but me and my daughter saw you play last night at the funeral line in Minneapolis....you were amazing:) my daughter's name is Maniah Sosa, she's the one who drew a picture of you and gave it to you and also made a poster of you and Noah Finch....JUST WANNA SAY THANK YOU FOR SIGNING HER POSTER SHE MADE AND TAKING HER PICTURE SHE DREW OF YOU FOR YOU:) JUST WANNA SAY U WERE AWESOME AND MADE HER NIGHT, SHE REALLY REALLY LOVES YOU AND KNOWS ALL THE WORDS TO YOUR SONGS:) BUT THANKS FOR INTERACTING WITH HER/YOUR FANS THE WAY YOU DO ..SHE WAS IN CLOUD NINE ALL NIGHT AND TODAY YET ❤️❤️THANKS AGAIN
Outstanding voice and quality performance. Her best work comes out when she embraces the silence and gaps to let the melody and her incredible voice shine. The new band tried to pack in too much sound and it felt forced and not pleasant to listen to at first. Nobody came there to hear an electric guitar solo and it detracted from the show. He is good, but didn’t always fit with the vibe of the evening Later in the show they seemed to let that happen and it was 1000 times better.
This was the best night ever!! Not only was the performance BEYOND incredible, but Luke and Gus and their whole crew were so fantastic and really cared about each of their fans. They spared their extra time to make each one of us feel so valued and I could not have asked for a better time. Thank you VOILÀ for a wonderful night!!
Very Interactive and easy to follow. The Wooten brothers understand the dangers they have together, one being Victor! They solved this issue with making the concert like a book. A foreword in the beginning, you can tell it’s quite old with the special effects in the video, but nevertheless educates you on all five brothers; Joesph, Regi, Roy, Victor, and Rudy (passed but not forgotten). The Body was pieces of music from covers, one from Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, and from Joesph. All the brothers got their time to shine, some songs got technical in counting and crowd participation, but all the songs had a message to carry. I got to see them in the later of their leg of the tour so they were all locked in and maximizing their ability in every song. It was Funk, Jazz, Fusion/Rock, but most of all, the message that we’re together! Going to remember this concert until I die!
Mike was amazing. I liked how he broke up having some new funky new stuff played first and then played some of the classics that we all love to hear. I was just disappointed at the people at the venue. So many people talking instead of listening. I felt like they were there to say they were there versus to listen to the music. I on the other hand was there to listen to the music.
Terrific sold-out show, with two sets featuring tunes from his entire catalog. I've seen him a ton of times, and he's always fantastic. This show was no exception. Not a performance-related thing, but I do wish that he had either been standing or that his chair was on a slightly higher raised platform. Seated as he was, Mike was pretty hard to see for a lot of the people at the show. Small complaint that didn't affect my own enjoyment at all. Highly recommend this tour!
The Fine Line is an awesome venue with great clear sight lines and sound quality. The opener Hooked Like Helen had some cool songs and put on a great performance. Saw Halocene at their last Minneapolis concert and this one was even better than that. So much energy and fun, love their music, especially their newer originals. No Resolve put on quite the rocking show, super energetic and had a ton of fun with the crowd. Highly recommend the venue and all those bands.
It was GREAT! The Dandy Warhols did not disappoint!! I didn’t realize they had MN history, so that was a bonus as well. Their set list was fantastic and there was a good mix of old and new.
The venue was full, but not so full you were stepping on each other. The sound was the only reason for not getting a 5 star review… The singer’s voices were muddled and there were some feedback issues.
The band was in top form, and the Fine Line, like all of the First Ave venues, has a great sound system. We got an excellent mix of old favs and songs from the new album Exotico. Mesmerise may still be my favorite though. Icing on the cake, there was an impromptu meet & greet afterwards! I am approaching senior citizen status, so I had opted to stay back where it was less crowded during the show, so my pics and videos are not the best; that made getting a nice photo with the band after the show extra special.
The Winery Dogs put on a fantastic show last night at The Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis, MN. Richie Kotzen, Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy are three very talented musicians that work very well together. I look forward to hearing more great music from the trio. I recommend that anyone who hasn’t seen these three guys perform together to go do so, as they will not disappoint. 5 Stars +

Alana is an amazing talent with a really bright future. I can't wait to hear more from her. She played some of her new material from her upcoming album release and the songs are excellent. I got a chance to meet her after the set and she was very accommodating and gracious. It was a special night, thanks so much Alana.
I loved every second of it!! This is by far my favorite band ever and I can’t even express how cool it was to see them live!! I was so sad when it was over bc I knew that one of the best nights of my life was over, but now i’m closer to when I can see them again!! <3
This was the second show in two weeks I had the good fortune to hear Sons of Kemet play. Their performance at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN on March 25th was stellar. Add the incredible sound system at the Fine Line for their show in Minneapolis and I was literally blown away by Shabaka Hutchings saxophone and Theon Cross’ tuba playing. Maximum kudos to Tom Skinner and Eddie Hick for laying down the MASSIVE beats that propelled the two frontmen to even great cosmic heights. This was the first jazz show I’ve attended where a mosh pit nearly broke out. Two solid hours, including encore, of four of London’s hottest players performing today. Mother Universe is smiling…
Anything Shabaka does is more than worth the price of the ticket. Must see anytime and worth a drive The opener was local guys from the north side. Their band teacher from back in the day was there to offer support. Not long before they are headliners as well!
SOOO MUCH FUNN I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!! At the beginning many of the people in the back we pushing in the front so one of the audience members in front of me told one Braeden that there was no room near and it felt very personal when he responded like he was having fun with us and wanted make sure everyone was safe.
While P. was surly missed (Fuck the U.S. border patrol!), Watain put on a rabid, wonderfully unholy show!! They drew from albums new & old and thrashed like the True Black Metal Warriors they are!!! It was also cool to see & hear E. on bass for the evening! The opening band, Incantation, put on a rabid, rockin' show, too! I'd never heard them before this show, and it's rare for a band to strike me this much on first encounter, but this is one act I have to look into further! Had I not already spent more than I could really afford on Watain merch to support them in their struggles (Did I say, "Fuck the U.S. border patrol?!), I would definitely have gone home with a new Incantation LP. By the time Morbid Angel played, I was getting tired. Thus, I do not feel qualified to give them a fair shake. They were tight, they rocked hard, and I felt sore & ambivalent. In the end, Watain dominated the evening.
I finally got to hit up a SonReal concert last night and have to say it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The energy and passion that him and his crew put into that show is beyond anything I expected. You feel that love. He really has a way of making it feel like a hangout / jam session among friends. Respect 🙌🤘
It was like OMG AMAZING. I’m so happy that I went because she’s the only woman that I can have both my son, his sister and my little cousins to look up to. She is a true OG woman and I’m so glad that I have gotten the chance to meet her and the Woke gang
