The crowd was AWESOMEEEE everyone had high energy. Once we got 'yippee rayed' it did NOT stop. Everyone sang along with every song and jumped a lot too. A lot of respect for shorter folks aswell (where I was standing at least). The artists were obviously awesome as well. Very involved with the crowd, even grabbing peoples phones to record from the stage. Awesome experience. Also with a little surprise... Verity.... Absolutely going again when I get the chance to!
I am very glad I went to see Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals live. It was a great show from start to finish, with a fantastic atmosphere and a performance full of energy and emotion.
Ben Harper’s voice, musicianship, and the chemistry between the band members made the evening truly special. The band sounded incredible live, and it was a pleasure to experience their music in person.
Overall, it was a memorable concert and one I am happy I attended.
For both shows on May 2 and 3 at a great location and with a great audience (without Dutch disease). Just when you think you have seen Glen's ultimate show, he does it all over again the next day. Fantastic. 5 songs replaced by 6 new ones and the setlist shuffled, total show the third one a half hour longer. What energy, from punk to Irish folk songs to sensitive ballads, fully involving the audience. Glen is a hero!
Do you think that I will get a reply????
Loved the music but golly WHY such a long break????...it was over 30 minutes long!...not good folks!...that's gotta change!..if there was an issue backstage then Jesse should have let us know!...no prob!...so we hope that future shows in Britain and the USA will be just as good but let's play a little bit longer please!
Reply???
I did the meet & greet with Blackie and so happy to have finally spoken to him. He was so very nice. The show was amazing and it was an absolute joy to stand front row and see W.A.S.P perform all their songs from their debut album. They smashed us and they definitely still have the rock ‘n roll sting. I’m still recovering from it. Man, it was so good. W.A.S.P is still wild at heart and they will rock you from start to finish.
Fenomenaal optreden.
I made it a goal to see Agnes Obel so much that I planned an entire trip to the Netherlands and Germany so I could see her perform. I have been listening to her since 2012 so to be able to see her while she is on tour was such a great experience. The performance was incredible, the other musicians were fantastic, and I was so happy with the setlist. If you get the chance, go see her!
I saw Sharon in the big room (Grote Zaal) of this venue. Even though her name sounds very Dutch, she's American. She and her band The Attachment Theory gave an amazing performance. The sound was superb. Every instrument could be heard in extreme detail. I even complimented the sound engineer. Support act Angie McMahon also gave an impressive solo performance. Hope she'll be coming back to Utrecht too. All in all this was an amazing night.
The venue is my favourite venue in all of the Netherlands. A very well located, big and very modern buiding in the center of Utrecht (a 5 minute walk from the railway station). Each and every of the six rooms is just great. If I have a choice, I'll always choose this venue over any other.
It was an amazing show, Nessa Barrett was wonderful and Sombr as well! Nessa Barrett's music is something very close to my heart. Sadly I wasn't very close to the stage but I still enjoyed every single minute of it! This concert made me feel alive and I left incredibly inspired by these wonderful artists, can't wait to see them again ! ★*☆♪
This was such an incredible and unforgettable show. We really had so much fun, me with my friends in the crowd but also wave to earth on stage, smiling brightly from ear to ear. with the atmosphere of the crowd, being hyped and almost getting teary-eyed a few minutes after. I really felt alive. What was beautiful, was not only the artistry of the band but the community that was gathered around me, with people coming from all over Europe to see their show, we had the opportunity to make many new friends, enjoying every second even before and after the show. Waiting in line to making the photo with wte, every second of the day was filled with fun, love and, pure joy. The fan project that was successfully organized for the Utrecht show with everyone participating also felt as an extra gift for the day. With all of my heart, Thank you for all the love and joy of the day! 🤍
I was absolutely blown away. Midge Ure has been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember—I’ve been following his work for at least 30-35 years. His music holds immense value and meaning for me, and many of his songs are deeply personal and significant in my life. The concert was nothing short of phenomenal. His performance was flawless, and it felt like a beautiful journey through time, reconnecting with the emotions and memories tied to his music. For me, Midge Ure isn’t just an artist; he’s a part of my life’s soundtrack, and last night’s concert was a testament to why his music has resonated with me for so many decades. Truly unforgettable
An Unforgettable Concert Experience
The concert was absolutely incredible! The highlight of the night was when the artist made his way up to the balcony and stood almost right next to me, it was such a thrilling and memorable moment. The performance lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes (excluding the other artists), which felt a little short. I would have loved for it to go on for two hours, but every second was worth it.
There were a few minor issues, though. Some attendees kept taking pictures with their flash on, which was quite distracting, and the front lights constantly flashed throughout the show. As someone with photophobia, this made parts of the performance uncomfortable. Additionally, the sound quality at the start wasn’t the best. The high volume in the relatively small concert hall caused some distortion, but it improved as the night went on.
Despite these small drawbacks, I had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The only real downside was that the concert fell on a Monday night, and I had an exam at 8:30 the next morning. While I did pass (yay!), I felt tired all day.
Next time, I hope the concert is on a weekend so I can fully immerse myself in the experience without any next-day worries!
Molchat Doma was one of the best concerts I’ve seen!
I didn’t like Tivoli place though: you’re not allowed to wear a jacket inside, nobody told about it and we had to rent a locker for additional price; ticket was for 19:00, the warmup band started at 20:00 (which was way off the vibe of the main performer, so it made the impression worse) and actual concert started at 21:00
Kiefer was awesome as always! 🥰
I will go to his concerts as long as I possibly can.
The band was amazing as well!
The venue does not feel welcoming to disabled people sadly. They gave it a try, but the wheelchair signs were simply picked up and moved, so people could have that place for themselves. 🙄
Tivoli has got a lot to learn still.....
Vielen Dank!
TesseracT:
Pretty good sound, quite a cinematic live show, but Dan sadly did not try to sing all the notes himself. Although he did have a fabulous performance, it was kinda strange he just didn't wanna sing every note, because he sang some extremely hard parts flawlessly. Of course in 'Legion' the part is just very hard to nail so I get that he doesn't wanna try that every night.
Unprocessed:
These guys were surprisingly good! Way better sound than they have on most their albums, and the playing was very well done. Honestly this band is better live than on studio recordings.
Callous Daoboys:
Don't really know this band, they were weird but were pretty funny and played well. They were kinda at the wrong gig though, their music was way too aggressive for most of the crowd lol.
One of the best concerts I’ve been to! The energy was so high and the performance was great! They involved the crowd and threw shirts and water bottles at us (Sadly I didn’t get one) It was amazing hearing the saxophone and guitar solos live. Never danced (and sweated) this much at a concert. Xavier was amazing as opener as well. Just f*****g amazing
I had really high expectations -- I had never before been this excited to see a musician perform -- and even before the first song was over I knew those expectations were going to be blasted out of the water.
Ben Caplan was energetic, funny, sensitive, and highly skilled, with a clear sense of both an immense passion and awareness of his talent and a deep humility and gratitude for people wanting him to showcase it. He carried himself as if he owned the venue; when he was quiet, we were quiet, when he roared, we roared. I got a chance to speak with him afterwards, and he was softspoken and kind, giving off an air of wanting me to know he saw and heard me and was happy I was there.
I truly cannot recommend this man enough and would gladly pay the ticket price three times over to experience this show again.
I am so happy I saw them perform again. This is the 3rd time I saw them in concert and I have to say it was the best one so far! I loved that they performed songs they wrote for other artists. Ryan Tedder walking through the audience got me shook. Not only because of that, but because he walked in front of me and we high fived😁
Great setlist! Good to hear The Leper Affinity and Moon Above, Sun Below finally live. My two favourite songs. Hope they play more of the Pale Communion record in the future; Elysian Woes, Goblin and River are three great songs too. Also, the new looks are interesting, never seen Mikael with a hat. Although I first thought he had become Jewish, it looks pretty dope. Opeth forever!
