About
The Kent Stage
The Kent Stage was constructed in 1927 as a silent movie and vaudevillian theater and is the sole surviving downtown theater in Portage County. In 2002, the Western Reserve Folk Arts Association took over management of the venue and the rest is history. The Kent Stage was named the Best Acoustic Venue in Northeast Ohio by The Plain Dealer when Nickel Creek stepped out in front of the mics and sang an encore.
During COVID, the venue underwent a massive upgrade. Including: a new stage, new backstage area, artist entrance, three new HVAC systems, new touchless restrooms, ADA restroom, new ceilings, carpeting, seats as well as a new entrance and merch area. In 2023, a 4k, 20' x 15' LED wall was installed.
Along with the concert venue, The Kent Stage is also the home of All Folked Up – a full service bar equipped to satisfy your desire for an adult beverage or two. Yes, you can take your drink into the theater.

What fans are saying
Joanne is an absolute class act. From the moment she steps on stage, she radiates this pure, unstoppable energy that instantly hooks the entire room. But what truly sets her apart is her guitar playing—it's masterful, soul-deep, and electrifying. Thank you for another amazing show.
Tina
Ray Bensons voice remains one of the great voices in Americana and southwestern music. The band with an entirely new cast of characters was very musical as well. Asleep at the Wheel once again, never disappoints! The shootouts who opened the show, are an exceptional band and perhaps one of the next big things in Country music today!
Great Show A+

Tom
Absolutely amazing show. Dan is such a nice person. He stayed after the show to meet with his fans. I got to talk to him, and got my photo taken with him. The performance was great. Will definitely be seeing him again.
