Awesome as expected. When they played FFWAS I had so much adrenaline pumping through every part of my body I felt like I was about to explode. Nothing tops the feeling that you get when you're throwing yourself around in the moshpit and throwing your fists around like your crazy. 100/10
Second time seeing them and it was the best experience! The stage was great, the band sounded amazing live, and I love how everyone seemed to be having as much fun as the audience 😁
Really great concert in general. Unfortunately there was an extremely loud man up in front close to the stage and he was very loudly and obnoxiously yelling weird things at the matte blvck members during their entire set and it ruined the ambience. It was difficult to concentrate on the songs and enjoy the experience with that loudmouth going on and on. Other than that everything was great.
Lolah played a great show at the DNA lounge playing both original songs about her life experiences coming to and living in the US and some cover songs. The crowd cheered her on. She has great experience, stage presence, and talent to play anywhere. Her original songs moved the audience and many wanted to talk to her afterwards about her musical inspirations and plans for future success.
Every time last night included, that I’ve seen this incredibly talented band live I am in AWE of their talent and they ALWAYS deliver a show not only that SOUNDS great but is equally exciting to watch. I became an INSTANT BIG fan from the first show I ever heard them play. As I told their drummer Elijah Post I will go to EVERY show I can get to. Frolic is stuck with me! 😄👍
First opening act for Clan of Xymox. I was able to find very little from him on YouTube at the time, but was pleasantly surprised once he started. I was fan right then and there.
Great show with two opening acts, started with Curse Mackey, followed by Bellwether Syndicate.
They covered a good range of their catalogue. Ronny hung out at the merch table to meet his fans and get pictures. I got mine taken with him and Sean.
I love how this band makes themselves so accessible to their fans.
The DNA Lounge does have a decent sound system, so the show sounded pretty good. The venue also has decent air flow so it doesn't turn in to a sweat lodge like some other places can. It also has an onsite pizza counter so you can get your grub right there.
Parking is decent there on a week night. I was actually able to park by the Costco on the next block, no problem. The only thing I didn't like was that they wouldn't let me bring my bottled water in to the main area for some reason.
Though I’m a relatively new Frolic fan, from their first show last year, their Easter show and last night they were FANTASTIC! They are natural born performers and rocked the rafters of the DBA Lounge. I knew the first time I heard them I would see them again. And will continue to follow them. They are also very nuce down to earth folks.
Amazing show!! Total unique vibes the whole time. Rafael brought his A game and totally got the crowd going and sang his ass off. Would highly recommend anyone to see Prayers live.
Well let’s see…Gaerea killed it! Amazing band to hear and see live! Top reason I went. They were paired up with Uada, Carach Angren and Rotting Christ. In that order. But unfortunately the venue dropped the ball last night and couldn’t get the mic to work. After about 50 minutes they figure it out only to tell the crowd because of time restraints we have to move on to the next band. Totally skipping Uada’s set! Then again have issues with Carach Angren’s set! Over an hour and half of time goes by before Carach finally played. I watched a couple of songs before the pain of my old foot injury got the best of me and I took off. I’ve seen RC a few times in the past. It’s a shame Uada got screwed. Even their merch table was decked out. Completely covered with animal bones and skulls and all kinds of witchcraft. 5 stars for the bands 1 star for DNA Lounge last night!
Excellent show. Great opening acts. Hate really brought the energy, Almost Dead was awesome with a singer that reminded me of Phil Anselmo, and Embryonic Devourment seemed good, but their mix was muddy. Batushka came out and reminded us all why we were there. The musicianship and coordination during the show was something to see. Just a fantastic black metal show, with a little thrash thrown in.
Show was amazing! Group kills it as always. However, venue was definitely too small for the group so was hard to move around and be more involved with the music. Still a great set.
Openers were great.
It’s nerd core, so I expected some cringe (so bad that it’s good).
MC Chris is a rapper that entertained nerd culture in the late 00’s. It’s very obvious why this is his last tour, he’s a single dad with a seven-year-old kid and obviously outgrew concert culture . he would find any chance to call the crowd disgusting and hideous and it is unknown if that’s a shtick of his live shows or not. But it has looked like the nerd has become the jock. also his kid looked like he was having a better time than his dad.
but what we know now is that the satirical rapper has become his own subject for satire
The Brujeria performance was exemplary. There wasn’t a single moment they weren’t at their peak. I was absolutely amazed I was able to see them in such close quarters. 10/10 would go again.
amazing, beautiful, loving, touching and moving!! my spirit was lifted into a higher realm of consciousness, love and light. her presence was truly 3 dimensional and the crowd was full of so much fun energy. i fell in the mosh pit and was terrified that i’d get stomped on but everyone made space for me to get up and helped get me back up. a night i will always remember and cherish. thank you haru, zenden lavon, and wander and everyone else who helped and attended the show!! amazing experience 100000/10
Goatwhore was awesome until Sammy (guitars) had equipment issues about halfway through their set. I've seen them before at another venue where everything went without a hitch, tho, and definitely recommend!
F'ing amazing show by all three of these guys! Watch Out for Snakes laid down some old school NES games vibes. Gregorio f'ing melted our faces off and Glitch Black was getting everyone dancing! Killer show!
If you get a chance to see HANL play you have to take it. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. Don’t miss out on openers like Planning for Burial, All Your Sisters, and Consumer. Make sure to support the Flenser record label and buy everything!
Mark was possessed by some sort of entity and gave it all like it was his last night on earth. Fucking insane. I haven’t seen energy and presence like that in ages, and I’ve seen them a few times. Amazing night!!
