Took my youngest to his first concert, and got VIP passes to make it extra memorable. Brother Ali, DJ Abilities, and Jabee were all warm and generous with their time, truly making this a wonderful memory for the both of us. And the show itself was electric. I left feeling happier than I had in quite a while.
Meg is a rising star with a track record full of great songs written and performed. My wife and I were equally surprised and excited when we found out she'd be the opener for Jackson Dean...and even more surprised to see Meg bring Ben Chapman with her. Their chemistry is awesome, Meg's voice was on point as always (as was Ben's playing) and the only complaint we had - is we wanted more! Intersection is a great venue in which to see a show. Great night.
Panchiko was great, they were all lovely and kind, and their music sounds even better in person ! Was center of the room a ways behind the pit so we had a great view. There was a lot of teen boys who were fine for the most part (although I wasn’t in the pit so 🤷🏻♀️) but there’s that if that’s a concern for anyone lol
AMAZING!!! My first ever concert. We made it to the front!!! LOVED the ASL interpreter, she did so good!!! Would absolutely love to see them again if they come around. Thank you all for such an awesome and memorable night. This band has truly changed and saved my life 💜
The bottom picture is one my friend captured, lol. Not sure what song was playing
Huge fan! I’ve seen them play one other time during Wriff fest and had to see them again live! Grand Rapids Show was awesome, I sweat like a dog in that tiny venue but god it was worth it! “This is what it’s all about” as he said himself. This band can rock your world!
The most enjoyable concert I’ve been to in a long time. The opening bands were very good and Alestorm was outstanding! Sure, the whole pirate theme is kind of a gimmick I guess - but the band is so talented and the songs are so fun. I will see them again in the future with every opportunity!
Fantastic show at a small venue. Wolf has assembled an excellent tour band to compliment his multiple musical talents. Acoustic version of Distance and an encore of Don’t Back Down were especially memorable. If that wasn’t enough of a show, Nita Strauss opening was a huge bonus
The show was Absolutely amazing The Red Clay Strays are ready to explode. The venue was a little disorganized to be honest and the box office Gal was not friendly at all she alone would make me consider going to watch a band at a different venue . The audience was the quietest I’ve ever heard at a show.. overall I was there for the Band and they were FANTASTIC
The show was amazing. The opening band, Pretty Kool from GR was high energy, super entertaining and extremely tight. Awesome. Then came Stryper. The Yellow and Black attack were just that. POWERFUL. Tons of energy and sounded better than the albums which are always excellent in material and production. I have followed Stryper since the late 80's but never had the opportunity to see then live. I will never miss a live show anytime they are in the area. Kudos to the sound company and engineers. Amazing night all around !!!
This is the fifth time I have seen Stryper and again they were EXCELLENT. They played a few songs that I have not seen live before. I'm sure it is hard for the band to decide the play list as they have so many GREAT Songs. I was excited to hear that they will be working on a new album possibly some time next year. I will be looking forward to seeing them again. Most bands that have been together for as long as they have lose their spark well not these guys. I have to say that they are my favorite band and will always be. Keep rocking guys and yes Michael did say that their music seems to be getting harder as they get older and I agree and I love it. I had tickets to see them in Battle Creek last September and was really disappointed that the concert got cancelled. Thanks for coming to GR. I'm 57 years old and had as much fun seeing them as I did the first time back in 1984. I actually have seen them the last four times' with my daughter who is now 25. Keep it up and keep ROCKING!!!!!
Had a great time, my wife was in pain and torture because she does not like Stryper and their style of music. At one point, Michael Sweet gave my wife Rebecca Mae Monroe an intense look of concern on his face towards her because she was scowling at him and holding her ears, she said that she would have rather dropped me off at Elevation and gone to Gun Lake Casino and come back for me after the Stryper Concert was over.
Absolutely incredible! Morgan is a force of musical nature. She has a powerhouse voice and she’s such a kind and wonderful person. Mark my words…she will get inducted into the Opry one day and I will witness it no matter what I have to do! Can’t say enough about her personality and talent ❤️
Joe P was amazing! He is a fantastic performer and— as someone who doesn’t know a lot of his music— he was a joy to watch. He sounds the same, if not better, live. I am docking half a star because the venue was insanely hot and the crowd was a bit lackluster. The openers also had some bad mixing (guitars were super screechy and loud) which was a bit off putting. But after getting home and listening to them on Spotify, I find their music enjoyable and well mixed. Just an issue with the venue or equipment, I suppose. Anyways, love Joe P and hope that he comes back to Grand Rapids soon!!
The venue does not provide parking, and their site states “there are plenty of parking lots and spaces around the venue for your use.” It cost $30 to park in a lot.
All communication from the venue indicated VIP guests should show up at 5:45pm and the pre-show events would start at 6pm. The doors were locked until 6:15pm, so everyone who showed up in advance was locked out in the cold as staff inside stood around playing with the wristbands and metal detectors.
The venue is not ADA friendly. There was a metal plate blocking anyone shorter than four feet tall (ie, kids, wheelchairs, people with dwarfism, etc..) The limited seating and lack of an upstairs or taller viewing area was more than inconvenient, and the price for a barstool at the back of the venue ($100) is insane.
Spencer’s VIP show was good, but I was hoping for maybe unreleased songs and more than 20 minutes for the price. The handful of unplugged acoustic music and Q&A opportunity were a nice touch, and the autographed picture was a plus. The opener wasn’t my favorite but he gave an okay performance.
Spencer’s headlining show was full of energy and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely attend another show in the future.
They opened for Andy Frasco, had never heard of them, frankly was just hoping they wouldn't be too boring before Andy took the stage. Man was I underestimating them! LITTLE STRANGER ROCKED OUR FACES OFF!
Definitely keeping an eye on their tour schedule so I can turn some more friends on to them.
Zingara is phenomenal live! She has a special talent for being able to command attention of a crowd like no other EDM artists I’ve seen. I also love how she structured her show — lots of free spinning at the beginning followed by her popular songs. Overall, absolutely amazing, and I’d love to see her again.
I like Maddie and Tae a lot and decided to go to the concert for fun not necessarily because I’m a die hard fan. It was Absolutely Amazing!!! I will definitely see them again in the future! Vocals were awesome, instruments were awesome! Even my husband loved it!!!! Awesome job Ladies!!!!
It was a great show. Excellent sound. Good to see death angel and exodus both bands playing Excellent. Glad to see Tom Hunting drumming. If you like thrash metal these guys won't disappoint. I will be back to the venue Good sound nice people. Til next time, Metal Rules! Dana
An Experience that I will never forget. The band delivered in every way possible. It really was beyond words the feeling of being free. I felt a type of harmony with all those people. Such a physical and emotional Journey. Their music had such a positive and powerful energy for me.
Was the best show I've been to the past couple years! So much energy and every band practice on a brutal show. King was AMAZING and can't wait to see them again hopefully headlining. Def needed a longer set from #King810 not the set they played was brutal af. So sore and no voice today 🤘💗
