House Of Blues Boston

Unfortunately We didn’t get to see the show due to the Nor’easter. We planned on driving from Portland, Maine as we are huge fans of Larry Fleet. All of the trains were cancelled and most of the buses as well. So disappointed! The resale wasn’t enabled so that someone else could enjoy the show and we could get our money back. Hope he returns so we get a chance to see him. I’m giving 4 stars because I’m sure it was an awesome show!

Between them canceling a tour, changing venues within this tour and never never releasing a promised album I just didn’t know what to expect. I must say they pulled it off nicely and the show was great. Perry was Perry with his uncoordinated movements/dancing, whatever you wanna call it and his indistinguishable voice using major effects. It sounded like vintage Porno and it brought me back to the first time I saw them in the 90’s.

Kaitlin Butts was awesome!! We went to the show to see her, and pardon our lack of knowledge on country music, had no idea who Flatland Cavalry was. They were good too, but we would have rather seen Kaitlin for 2 hours, instead of the Cavalry. She performed for an hour, but could listen to her all night. All in all, a good show. The crowd was attentive to Kaitlin, but minimal response. They perked up when the Cavalry performed. The House of Blues was a good venue. Not a large venue. The tickets said show start at 7pm, but they didn't open the doors until 7pm and the show started at 8pm. We ducked into a bar next door, instead of standing outside in the 20 degree weather. There were kids walking around in sleeveless shirts...definitely regretting that decision. We had box seats in the balcony and the seats were high-top comfortable seats. Third row back from the balcony edge and we had a could of large guys in front of us, who block most of our view. Other than that, the bar and restrooms were right there.

I watched it via livestream. I know of him because of his collaborations with Jimin of BTS but was fully introduced with SB19, whom I was a fan. I listened to his latest album a week before concert and I was impressed. This concert was intimate, nothing fancy, camera works in the livestream is the best I’ve seen in all the livestream concert I’ve watched (I watched a lot). Overall, the concert was fun and I loved it. From SB19s electrifying performances to JVKE and the boys final Golden Hour Remix offering it was a blast. Nothing beats good music, authenticity and genuine love for their crafts. JVKE and SB19 please come to Melbourne, Australia I promise I’ll be there to see you in person!

Many of the A'tin - SB19 fandom - watched the livestream of the concert because we couldn't fly to Boston from different parts of the world. We were excited to see SB19 at the concert of THE JVKE and were hoping to see them perform the GOLDEN HOUR SB19 REMIX, which happened! We love JVKE for his talent and generous spirit, and it is evident from his music and his performance that he is a gifted artist. I also love his declaration of faith and his evident love for his family, especially for his mom. I hope he comes to the Philippines someday.

The energy level at this show from both the bands and the crowd was unparalleled. I, along with quite a few other fans, waited outside the venue after the show, and when Grandson exited the venue, he was genuinely happy to take photos, give hugs, sign autographs, and get to know his fans. This show was my 30th birthday present to myself, and it also just so happened to occur on the exact date of my two-month sobriety anniversary, and having him say that he was proud of me and that he PERSONALLY understood how hard that was for me to make happen for myself is a memory that I will be cherishing for the rest of my life. Thank you Grandson. I can’t wait to see you again.

I’ve seen John Butler Trio around 15 times so it’s obvious that I’m a big fan! This was a little different in that John was alone on stage for like 2.5 hours and he was awesome! He’s a huge talent and a really interesting, funny guy. There were a lot of stories and personal tidbits throughout the night that just added to the intimate feeling and connection. There were a couple of songs I wish he would have played but other than that it was a night to remember. 💙

Everything was so beautifully put together. Seriously, wow. Of all the concerts I’ve been to over the years I can honestly say this is my new favorite. The show was running a little late, but it was honestly worth the wait. They even passed out cases of water while we were all waiting inside. The stage crew? *chef’s kiss* I absolutely adored the lighting, it made everyone look so flattering especially in their clothes. I know she was trying to cut down her set but I wouldn’t have cared if she kept it at the original length, it was that good! The band, the background singers, the openers were out of this world. The fact that her vocal coach is also one of her background singers brought tears to my eyes. I could certainly hear the vocal progression from when I saw her at the Roots Picnic in 2019. She has a classic sound and crazy replay value. I see her gaining even more popularity with future generations in the way that TikTok has been “rediscovering” artists. She doesn’t get enough flowers!

The show was unbelievable. House of Blues makes you feel like you are part of the show. They did a video tribute to the band that got the crowd so pumped up for Anthrax. The band went full throttle from the first cord to the last. It's really noticeable how appreciative bands are about being able to hit the road and play in front of a live audience. House of Blues puts you right in the mix and creates such an energy from both the band and fans that you can almost touch it.

Honestly, Jinjer is one of the most hard-working and relevant bands that you can listen to. They are consistently putting out great, multidimensional content. This show was pretty great because they played a lot of older material that I haven't heard in a while like Pisces, Captain Clock and Sit Stay Roll Over, The venue was good for their set but I thought that they sounded better at Big Night Live in Boston. Don't get me wrong, they always sound incredible.

Another reliably great show from this quartet of virtuoso's. Guitarist Jake was absolutely shredding the strings. he defied description. Boston was the loudest I've heard them play, ears joyfully ringing into the next day. They are outright ridiculous with talent. Drummer Alex sang his damn heart out, and we all joined in. Bass player Mike was holding down the stage with 20 tons of bass while Dani was trying to take flight on the keys. Musical magic and love on stage for all to see and share. Lots and lots of good jam bands out there, but no one is writing and composing at a level like these guys. Get in the crate. Eggy loves you back.

Great venue and even better concert. Once again Cole and his band brought their A game. Cole and the lead guitarist really interacted with the crowd and tailored their concert to the Boston crowd. Cole had tons of energy and looked like he loved being there. Song selection was strong and everyone had tons of fun. Cole made the concert feel special and not like he was putting out the exact same concert wherever he goes. Ashley Cooke was strong as well and definitely and solid up and coming artist!

Before this show, the only song I had ever heard from Franz Ferdinand was Take Me Out. And while that probably will remain as my favorite Franz Ferd song, they’ve got some other solid songs in their catalog that were great to hear for the first time in this live setting. The energy from the band was fantastic, and although I may personally feel that their sound can be a bit “one note”, they did a great job making the crowd feel a part of the show!

Charli XCX is the hottest and most amazing pop star on planet Earth. She is so iconic, it's hard to believe she is human. But the House of Blues in Boston is probably the worst venue in the United States. If you can't get tickets for the floor, don't even go. They treat guests like kids on a field trip. Had to be escorted in groups to get merch, and was given 5 minutes. If you don't have floor tickets, or one of the few assigned seats, be sure to get there hours before the doors open to find a good spot on the rail, because if not, you will not be able to see absolutely anything. And don't stand in the wrong spot, because an employee will be sure to shine their flashlight at you and tell you to move. Where? Who knows! Maybe just stand at the bar and watch the show on the TV's. The big monitors on each side of the venue were also not on for some reason, which would have made it just 10% better... but nope. The only employee with a soul in that building is the beautiful, kind, caring bartender on that top floor who let my friends and I go into a "semi VIP" section (which we could have each paid $75 EXTRA if we wanted to join the 6 people in there) on the very end corner of the upper mezzanine for the last 15 minutes of the concert. I will never return and I can only hope the new venue that is being built will be better, and artists will go there moving forward.

This was my first ever concert and it was AMAZING! I love how the band didn't stick with one album. They played songs from the Surface Sounds album and threw in some dark horses from their A/B album. Definitely got me by surprise but I loved it! Half-way into the show JJ went backstage and busted out a Red Sox jersey which made the crowd go crazy! The band did an amazing job keeping everyone on their feet while JJ was backstage getting adjusted. After the show the crowd chanted "one more song!" and luckily enough the band came back out and played No Good to close the show. I wish I could give this show more than a 5 star rating!

I was not able to come for the show because worsening of chronic sinusitis. I am angry. I did not hear live what I saw on videos. It was stupid to risk any variant of coronavirus and to die of Covid-19. I hope to be able next tour to Boston...let me know when to plan it again. I hope public at the House of Blues was friendly. Full disclosure I went to see Alien Weaponry, don't know too much about the other two bands. AW was excellent and the guys put on an amazing show. I continue to be amazed how the young trio can put out such original, powerful and high quality material. I bet that not many people knew them on the floor but they managed to start several moshpits and they were super nice afterwards just hung out signing shit and taking pictures with fans etc.

Babymetal is always awesome. The crowds can be hit or miss depending on where you are and who you're around. The pit kinda sucked as while there were a good number of people all about moving around or starting a pit there were far too many who wanted to hear one or two Youtube meme songs and record it on their phone to show their math class. Oh well. The new singer has stepped the hell up in the old one's absence and even some of the songs on the new album I didn't care for sounded great live. Also I saw a teen spew his drink on a sideline mom. That was pretty metal.

This show was absolutely amazing. Due to a scheduling error i sadly couldnt meet my idols, but never the less it was amazing. These guys definately know how to throw a show. Padge was funny trying to make everyine smile as he played and wowed us all, matt tuck being amazing as usual, and the rest of the band killing it. The others bands were amazing too. Next time i can i am going to see these guys in concert again!
