The Showbox

Wow what a great show. I have been wanting to see Dylan Scott live for years. I found out he was coming to Seattle the day before I was set to get my knee replaced - but it was 2 months after so I got my tickets. Later I worried about standing so long so I also got some accessible seating. I’m not someone that sits at concerts, usually I’m on the rail if it’s general admission. Anyway the point is I never needed my seat and stood at the rail all night. I was in my happy place and the adrenaline was kicking in so not much pain. I’m someone that loves to collect anything from musicians but particularly set lists and that was my goal to get one! The last 30min my left leg and knee started to bark at me but I wasn’t leaving at this point so I stayed. I never got a setlist - but I suppose you can’t get them all. But I’m so thankful I hung in there until the end because I got to see every moment and this is a concert I will remember forever. There was a moment when Dylan was right in front of me with the mic pointed out and my friend was like “Missy Missy” I was so caught up in the moment it didn’t register maybe I could have grabbed the mic but NO ONE wants to hear me sing. I will remember that forever that’s for sure. It was also a treasure to get to see Dylan Scott perform at a smaller (Showbox) venue and a great way to step my toe back into the concert world. Dylan didn’t take one break, his band did but he hung out the entire show! I love how down to earth he truly seems and his love for his wife and family - it’s all refreshing to see a performer that doesn’t seem to be chasing the limelight but enjoying what he does for a living. And I always prefer a raw, stripped down set, it’s all about the music and fans show. Thank you Dylan for a great night and great memories. I hope you make your way back to Washington State and maybe the Tri-Cities next time - we do have a hockey arena that many bands have played at!

Thank you so much! I absolutely love Dylan Scott, and I was so bummed when you weren't headlining anymore after COVID with Brantley Gilbert. So when you announced your concert, my 8-year-old daughter and I were so excited, but my daughter was so sad she wasn't able to come. At least one of us could. I was taking lots of videos for our baby girl and got her your "Country 'Til I Die" shirt. When I got home, she loved it so much she ripped off her pajamas and loved her new pajama shirt. Thank you for coming to Seattle! Not a lot of country artists do unless they play at the big venues, and we loved every minute of tonight, even if we couldn't enjoy it with our kids.

Super talented group and always very entertaining! The first set was very "Nawlins", while the second was more soulful and jazzy. I've had the privilege of seeing them on the Legendary Rythm and Blues Cruise, where they played in the "piano lounge" until the wee hours of the morning almost every night. They have an encyclopedic knowledge of blues and jazz standards as well as contemporary music. I will happily go to see them whenever I can because I know it won't get "stale"! Shout out here to Jimmy James of Parlor Greens who jammed with them on several tunes. Very skilled guitarist. I never would have known he wasn't part of the band if I didn't already know he wasn't part of the band - LOL! My only criticism was the vocals seemed woefully undermixed. I'm no sound tech, but a few folks confirmed they had difficulties making out what Lech was singing/saying too, so I know it wasn't just me. Distracting at times, but didn't diminish the overall experience. TL;DR - Go see The California Honeydrops if you can. You wont regret it!

What a great show! Max and his band created an energetic evening engaging all of his fans with his music. The lyrics and the stories behind them are very heartfelt and they do bring out all the emotions in you. I cannot wait to see him again! I’m looking to see where he is playing where I can get to it whether it’s a venue near or far.. thank you Max for such a wonderful evening! Oh, and the bonus was meeting your parents!

I've been to dozens of shows and seen hundreds of bands. This show and this crowd were incredible. Johnny and the band were all in great form, and the crowd was singing along to every song. It was an amazing experience that I will remember for a long time. The Showbox venue was nice and clean, and the staff were professional. Great sightlines, and not a bad spot in the house. The only negative was the merch tables being in the entrance hallway made for tight spaces trying to exit the venue.

I’ve been a fan for a while but only just got to see them last night. What nonsense, right? No matter, I bought enough merch to make up for it. The show was great! I was happy to see a mosh pit develop and was tempted but didn’t because I’m so f’n soft these days. Getting old is a bunch of b******t. Oh well, at least I can afford to live in Seattle and go to shows😃. Definitely see them if good rock music gets you. Here’s a hyped.

Finally can cross Buckethead off my Bucket list. What an amazing show! Read reviews of female singer that no one liked but she didn't sing at all. Basically had the band playing all the other instruments instead of a pre recorded track. I've seen Yngwie and Steve Vai and many other great guitarists and Buckethead is right up there with the best of the best. Loved the whole show. The only thing that sucked was no Merch. Looks like I'm going to have to go online to get a shirt.

Hello Margaret, I love your music! You have a beautiful voice. You have a novel and warm relationship to making a guitar sing too. Your lyrics beautifully combine the intellectual and emotive. You take your time. The acoustic composition is multilayered and textural. You have a fabulous dynamic range from inward & contemplative, to driving & powerful. I came to the The Last Dinner Party show in Seattle not to see The Last Dinner Party, but to see you! I was so excited. The light show was cool, but I kept waiting for the sparse lines to brighten to a wash so that I could see you. It never happened. I and your other fans were there to connect with you, but it was so hard to do that without being able to see you. At the end of the show you waved and smiled at us, finally visible, and you are such a warm personality! Please share that with us during the show too. But even more importantly, you deserve a band. Your music is complex, multilayered, and to do that live you need multiple people. Instead we got each composition mostly on a recorded track, with you boxed in by each song’s predetermined pathway. So little play, so little spontaneity, and the stage missing the electric energy your material deserves to be radiating in person. Margaret I love your work so much, and I want you to succeed! I hope you manage to bring what you do to the stage more fully and more human-ly: your face visible, a band collaborating with you. That will get us in the audience so much more excited and joyful. And supporting you to make more and more beautiful music. We love you!

This Mammoth WVH show was my first experience seeing the band. Having followed Wolfgang's musical career, it is fantastic to see that he is finally doing what HE wants to do and his music shows how much of a gifted, talented and hard-working musician that he is. His debut album was nothing short of outstanding and his sophomore record achieved what few artists can accomplish as it delivered on taking his song creation, musicianship and sonic bliss to the next level. While so many reviewers make comparisons to other groups or to the work of his father, simply enjoying Wolfgang's music and performances for what they are (magnificent) should be how people take note. The band was sharp and locked-in on every tune and it was very easy to see that Mammoth WVH is a cohesive unit, watching the performance last night. Wolfgang's commentary ahead of several songs was very engaging with an audience, predominated by septuagenarians and sexagenarians, was largely present with the misguided anticipation of hearing Mammoth WVH perform songs from Wolfgang's first gig. Few in the audience knew his music but could not help but to be drawn into the songs from the catalog of Mammoth WVH songs. Being less than 10 feet from the stage, the sound mix was loud and clean with chest-pounding being driven by the kick drum and bass. The vocals were perfectly layered in with the lead and rhythm guitar frequencies. For an audience that was overwhelmingly aged (bereft of hair color or balding), between songs, Wolfgang had to chide them to behave even calling them out for being "dicks" at the front of the stage.

loved when the garden performed, they're one of my favorite bands so seeing them live finally was great! only note is that during show me the body's opening set, a girl fell and had a seizure in the pit. despite audience efforts to get the show to stop for a second they just ignored everyone and kept on with their set. the lead singer just kept his head down and sang into the mic while everyone was waving X's in the air and yelling that someone needs help. i enjoyed their music but its disappointing to see that they're not exactly very stellar individuals.

Her show in Seattle at “The Showbox — Marketplace” was so full of high energy! Homegirl looked GORGEOUS! Body was a 10/10, beautiful outfits & skin, and she danced her a*s off! She really gave effort like artists used to do in the 90s/early 2000s! Literally, in EVERY song, she danced and went HARD… not the weak two-step here & there. The lighting on her was well-done! It made her skin glow so well. I usually dread/hate the array of color lighting due to the poor camera quality when I record, so thankfully this wasn’t too bad. Vocally, she was a bit hard to hear cuz the audience was so loud when singing along with her/her lyrics and her band/music were pretty loud as well, so it drowned her out a bit… but the moments I was able to hear her, so sounded pretty. This will probably be my favorite concert after Janet Jackson so far this year of 2023. Next is Usher, so that’ll make it tough to go up against! But out of all the newer RNB girls, Victoria Monét easily demolished a lot of them strictly because she GIVES YOU A SHOW! No slow moments or weird spots in her concert. Effortless and just a stunning newer artist!Victoria, Bonfyre, H.E.R., SZA, Jhené Aiko, Kehlani, Tinashé, Kiana Lede, Ari Lennox, and Normani are my go-to for newer female RNB music. I managed to get my vinyl signed, too! Great, great show! I highly recommend!

This was an excellent concert! I was blown away by their professionalism and artistry. I was also very touched with the message of the importance of mental health. I too didn’t know you could be lower than rock bottom but not only does rock bottom have a basement- the basement has a cellar and I’ve been fighting like hell to climb out of this cellar this last year. With the change of meds and the addition of ketamine infusions I’ve started to find me again. I may not know what the future holds anymore in terms of my marriage or family but I now can wake up more than 1/2 the days of the week and actually feel happy. Bands like Lovelytheband give hope and awareness and a voice to mental health struggles - a silent and transparent disease. I have always wanted to find a way to make a difference and maybe someday I will- I so value the ability for visible groups to be emotionally vulnerable with their poetry and musicality to help those of us who don’t have that gift but know that world. I hope this message can be shared with Lovelytheband.

A fantastic, energetic, raw punk show. I this has to have been one of the most touching, beautiful, and emotional live performances I've ever seen. The Wonder Years played all the bangers from THGOF, and other songs throughout their career. Hot Mulligan was fantastic, as always. They guys always put on a super fun, involved show. Carly Cosgrove was great as well! I'd never heard of them, but I left a fan. If you're even on the fence about attending a show on on this tour, do yourself a favor and just go. You will not be disappointed. This show was fantastic. I wish I could relive it.

Words can’t express how Amaze this event was for me but I’ll give it a go! Dean’s performance was absolutely Ace! He’s a very down to earth humble kind sweet man. After his concert he took one of his guitars and his brother followed him out to the streets in Seattle of all places, IN THE B****Y RAIN! He went outside to see fans who couldn’t afford the show. Again so very humble a heart of gold. He really brought me back home and I felt happiness for the first time in a very long time. I will definitely go see him again if he comes back to the states! Keep being you Dean! 💜

On the whole, the concert was enjoyable but the lead singer was sick and his voice was shot. What made this worse is the sound was overly muddy. I’d actually give the show 3.5 stars but you really have to give it to Isaac Brock for pulling through despite his illness. The band played till he looked like he’d drop including 2 songs for encore. The place was packed and the enthusiasm for the band was undiminished. it was amazing to see Modest Mouse at a really small venue and would gladly do so again :). Note FWIW I was actually there for the final of three shows on 23-Nov.

Half alive is my favorite band in the whole world and seeing them was literally the best thing ever, and it was 2 days before my birthday so it was the best gift ever. After I got merchandise after the concert, my best friend, brother and I were some of the last people to leave, and we saw J. Tyler standing outside and he was super nice and let us take pictures with him and he signed half of our new merchandise. The concert was super amazing too, and I would do anything for them to come back to Seattle, they sounded great and finally being able to go to a concert of theirs just made me love them even more!!!

Haken was awesome. It was wonderful to see them after this long Covid hiatus. This was my third time, previously seeing them headline in St. Louis twice before. They were not headliners this time so the set was much shorter, but maaan were they more confident and refined and tighter than ever. 1985 stands out for me the best, and it was surreal to see them cover Owner Of A Lonely Heart embedded within the song in the city where Alan White resided and passed just days before. I got a little bit choked up. Nil by Mouth was an instrumental display of raw power with precision not at all unlike Rush performing YYZ. The epic new song Carousel from Virus closed the set out and left me wanting more. Haken is growing their product humbly by word of mouth and it won’t be long when larger venues will need to accommodate their distinctive talents. It was quite the performance and can’t wait to see them again. Maybe in their native country this next time?! Five thumbs up!

Clubhouse opened for the Wombats and it was one of the BEST NIGHTS EVER. I had been eagerly awaiting the show for months, and dropping new singles made me look forward to them even more. They were so nice when I met them after the show. When you already respect artists and then they're such lovely human beings when you meet them in person...what more could you ask for? Everyone everywhere needs to get on the Clubhouse level, check out their music and support them to blow up even more ❤❤

Such an amazing show last night. Slash and Myles Kennedy are two of the best at doing what they do. The energy was through the roof and did not let up all night. This is my 3rd time seeing Myles this year. He never disappoints in his vocals or his ability to engage with the crowd. Definitely one of the best front men of all time. Slash absolutely killed his guitars all night. He never let up and kept the crowd wanting more. They are a great one two punch of rock . See them if you can.

The show was great. Alk3 killed it. Matt actually took a request and played my friend peter even though it wasn’t in the set list that night!!! (Best song ever). Showbox SoDo crew and staff were one of the friendliest crew I’ve seen at a show. They even let a 10 year old kid up on stage to fist bump Matt and dance for a minute. You guys at the Showbox SoDo are doing the right thing. Kept us safe and still let us have a ton of fun
