Excellent, top quality music and sound quality was very good for such a small venue.
Didn't realise how much I had missed hearing these songs live until watching MP.... what a treat! Covering the extensive catalogue as best you can in 2.5hrs or so, we had Exit... Stage Left and a whole lot more, the band enjoying the evening as much as us echoing our hero's. Show me, don't tell me you may cry! Go see 'em, and it's R50 next year?
Sound was a bit muddy compared to 8323 tour at electric brixton and stage a bit too low to get goid views of band, again, compared to brixton. I've seen em play with a lot more enthusiasm in the past!!
Steve and the band never fail to please. The show was like bringing at a huge party , sharing the love of music new and old with others who appreciated every note and the skill of the musicians. Truly a perfect mix of phenomenally skilled , talented performers and an emotional trip back in time.
Absolutely love this band, have enjoyed every show I have been to, they never disappoint and they adore their fans. 🖤
My first royal blood gig and it did not disappoint! Such a great atmosphere and experience, would 100% see them again. Highly recommend
The Hara left a lasting impression on me, for the opening act they went above and beyond. Amazing.
Graphic Nature, I have seen before and I look forward to seeing again. Absolutely on point as usual.
Ice Nine Kills, these guys are as good live as they are recorded.
Venue was also really good too.
Fantastic night, great music, ive wanted to see Feeder for a long time so glad ive finally been.
Absolutely incredible!! Loved these guys from the start, will be sad to see the end, thank you for a great 20 years x
Two years on from seeing them in a small room at the Guildhall, the Lottery Winners now take to the main stage and make it their own! It’s been quite the ride since I first saw them in a funny little tent at Lamar Tree festival. This is band I’ve seen grow up and develop into something that is quite amazing. Thom is a great front man and an excellent songwriter. Rob keeps it going with his amazing guitar and vocals. Katie is a fabulous bass player and has a beautiful voice. Joe keeps the whole thing going at the back like a metronome. Love the band and what they do. Big shout out for Tristan for doing his management thing and getting them to the top.
Cinelli Bros are a great live band. I was disappointed though as I bought a standing ticket and it was all seated. Not a band to watch sitting down!
Amazing night - Belinda gave us a great show and I’d love to see her again
Brave Rival, quite possibly the biggest music sensation to come out of Portsmouth ever!
Thursday night, the 3rd headline gig of 2023, was sensational. The girls vocals were epic, such good form and note perfect, spine tingling and at times, especially the Acoustic numbers, which always tug at the heart strings (yup real tears).
Donna Peters on drums (and Acoustic guitar) in the top 20 nominees for top Rock'n'Blues Instrumentalist 2023, Congratulations and I believe only Drummer and only Female💥💥💥 that is some achievement👏👏👏👏👏💥💕
An amazing performance and half the power house with Billy on Base...brilliant and solid🔥🔥
Each track built on the last with 'The angry' ex boyfriend, sh*t time in life 'blues/rock numbers blasting us into musical orbit...wow
And the pure beauty of the reflective then Acoustic numbers, releasing the emotions.
Each member of Brave Rival throw their heart and soul into ever number and the dialogue along the way, tells a story and carries you along...it is addictive, they are addictive.....
Nor to be left out Ed 'The Shred' Clarke on lead guitar.....in the top 5 nominees for UK Rock and Blues Instrumentalist of the year 2023 (public voting opens 4th Feb, get in there and give him your vote..and your family, mates and the barmaid)
His playing is jaw dropping, passion, talent, emotion, aggression, inter- instrument conversational and just plain bloody amazing (most lead guitarists at some stage have to look down at what they are doing...not Ed...he's off in the zone...)
A great set, raised the roof, broke in some Brave Rival virgins and gained a lot of new fans.
These guys are going to be huge...and they love hugs and a chat👏👏👏💥💥💥💕💥
Only seen Brave Rival twice but so good to hear music of such quality. All the better that they are a Pompey band following in the footsteps of all the many quality musicians and bands that have come from our City. Can't wait to see them again. 👍👏👏
Such an amazing concert. Have concert blues. Blossoms come back to Portsmouth cause the vibe was on point. An amazing band with such good music!
Great to see Bellowhead back playing live, they were on fire and a very lovely and touching tribute to the very much missed Paul Sartin.
Another flawless performance by an incredibly talented band who perfectly complement Steve Hackett. Nad has the perfect match of voice for Peter Gabriel to bring alive memories of the early 70’s.
Above all , the relaxed charisma of Steve and his ability to deliver an intimate atmosphere made the show feel so personal despite the size of the audience.
Fantastic musician.
This is the sixth time I seen BNL and yet again they didn't disappoint, great showmen and great tunes. Just a shame there was a half a dozen pissed 40 somethings behind us ruining it for everyone around them. Still there are dick heads everywhere I guess.
Amazing performance especially the production such as the costumes, scenes, dancers etc. The only thing that would make it better was if Melanie had introduced herself at the beginning and communicated with the audience more. But overall it was fantastic.
Best band live .... great fun great energy and simply the best musicians .... I want to see them again
