Artikal Sound System roared into D.C. on a Wednesday night! Played their stellar songs along with some new really cool tunes! Thanks for coming D.C.!
The Family Crest always puts on a masterclass on live performance. Liam and Co. shine brilliantly with their crowd work, impeccable dynamics, and effervescent rhythms and melody. Truly one of the few artists one should never miss! Can't wait for some Beneath the Brine D20 dice set!!
Been following this dude and all his various projects for 17 years. Love him! The show was fantastic as well! Love the energy he brings to such an intimate venue. His excitement is contagious. And awesome addition of SL Houser. She’s a great musician as well and quite a looker. Thanks Matt! Please keep bringing it to DC as often as possible.
Wish we could have been there. Max and Sonny always put out crowd pleasing music. Max’s music will be playing on everyone’s radio someday! Can’t wait to see him the next time he is near Leesburg, VA.
Alex is a star. I feel lucky to have seen him at this venue as it is my guess that he won’t be playing such small shows the next time tours. He had a few issues with his earpiece and worked through it as a pro. He acknowledged his fans at every opportunity and was gracious enough to stay after the show to greet each person personally that wanted to say hello to him. The songwriting and the singing is top notch, and it was great to see the fun camaraderie/repore he held with his friends and bandmates. Will return to see him perform every chance.
AMAZING show in DC, Friday night!!! Thank you Cole, your excellent band & Abby for a fantastic Friday night!!! 🎶🔥🎶🔥🎶 Safe travels & stop back thru the mid Atlantic (DMV) again soon!
Meeting everyone was so amazing! Everyone was so nice and down to earth, it was great. I will definitely be back to see them
Great show, great energy, groovy mix of new and old songs! Their music is the perfect soundtrack to any outdoor adventure or road-trip.
What an AWESOME evening! It started off by just happening to park across the street from the band's rental RV just down from the club, and seeing them just after we got out of the Jeep. A quick, "hi, we'll see ya in a couple of hours was exchanged." Then we passed Luis about an hour later while we were walking back from a nearby grocery store. He noticed our shirts and did the "Bowling For Soup" chant that starts their shows. The band's set was kick ass. I love how they involve their kids in the show. Afterwards they did a meet and greet at the merch table. Luis recognized us as the "Bowling For Soup family". Kelly told Austin we had an awesome family. The Dollyrots put out great music, put on an awesome show and are overall great people. This is one of the reasons punk rock has become my favorite music. Because most bands are the same way. Unfortunately due to a bout of COVID in their camp last year we missed them, but it was worth the wait. I first saw them in 2010. I'll make sure it's not that long until the next time.
Thank you Kelly and Luis for an amazing time.
Why, because you're awesome!
Mega Mango was stellar. We came to see them and were blown away by their set! The venue is intimate, but it wasn't overly crowded and we got to stand right up next to the stage. My only regret is not asking for one of their set lists as a memento. I recommend any show MM is playing, and to anyone who is thinking of visiting DC9, you can't go wrong.
Michigander is amazing! See Jason and crew anytime you have opportunity. The opener Abby Holliday was super as well! Check out her new record!
Really a special show. The club was packed with people singing the words to his songs - "Two Halves," "Soldier," "Jogging" - as he just accompanied himself on guitar. The energy in the room, and the energy from the performer, were mesmerizing. We may not get many chances to see him in the States. Lucky us for being there.
THE SHOW WAS AMAZING. Everything was perfect-the opener, band, and Lyn ofc- and it was an unforgettable night. The entire group interacted with the crowd and everyone was so kind. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to go to another one of her shows!!🫶
Entire show is great from the start. Opener LAYA is a star, with a really fun set. Phabo already looks like a polished vet on stage. His catalog is on point from start to finish. His DJ is great too! If they’re in your city, GO.
I’m a little late to following The Veer Union but came across them on Spotify and was hooked. Then I started following them on Instagram and saw that they were on tour. Lucky for me they came to the DC area. Bought my tickets right away and on the night of the show they did not disappoint. The sound was great, vocals over the music. I hate going to a show where the music is too loud and drowns out the vocals.
They ran through a variety of their hits and after the show were at their Merchandise table. Got to meet the band who were really nice and took the time to speak with all their fans. Just a great experience and night of music.
The most intimate show i’ve been to, 10/10 recommend! The eclectic sounds from the studio version songs are brought to life in such an interesting way when performed live. These group of artists are so down to earth and humble. I enjoyed chatting with them and watching them perform❤️
it was awesome!!! venue was so cute and they were SO NICE AND TALENTED!! the crowd there was great too. also the opening act was the best opening act i’ve ever seen.
these boys never fail to amaze me with their shows,, venue was MAD trash but yungblud and arrested youth made up for it! fukin amazing
Dom, Adam, & Michael NEVER FAIL TO PUT ON A SHOW!! The energy was just sick!! Only thing about this show in general is the VENUE. DC9 doesn’t care if you wait in queue for hours on end; i personally traveled 2 hrs for this show, arrived at 6 A.M., WAITED IN THE COLD FOR 10 HRS ONLY to get treated by staff like children & get told that your place in line doesn’t matter. Truly awful venue & staff. Other than that, YUNGBLUD is the artist to see for a wicked time.
SOOO HYPE! The legends are true, moshing is a given, so wear proper shoes (and hydrate well beforehand). Openers Field Medic and Prince Daddy & The Hyena were great as well even if you don't know them beforehand. No encore bc they play their whole discography and even a few new ones. Got to meet them after the show, nice lads.
