Observatory

Had never been to this venue. It’s rare to say that the opening act is the reason we bought sold out resale tickets. Astyn did not disappoint. So great to see her getting the appreciation of a packed house loving on her. She’s a true talent whose stardom has yet to arrive. Her calming yet seductive voice and range is engaging and her arrangements are spare to let her voice ring clear and personal. Hope to see her again. Bravo. Can’t wait for her album.

Been following the antics of Haywire for about a year and half now. I’ve been in the h******e scene since 2004, I have seen hundreds if not thousands of h******e bands, big and small bands. Haywire is the best h******e I have seen live, hands down. Period. End of story. They absolutely blew the top off. They went on right before No Pressure and No Pressure was good but Haywire dominated the night. I don’t think anyone can understand it until you see them live because I wasn’t sold on Haywire at first either but it truly was something magical.

I've seen these guys a handful of times now, this show was by far the best. The last time I saw them at the observatory like 5-6 years ago, they were in the small room and they didn't have much of a light show. They were great but not like this time around. Their production has evolved quite a bit, they sound better than ever and the light show was awesome. Such a great show, it's so awesome to see these guys getting better and better.

Great time! Great band! We flew from Cincinnati, Ohio to Santa Ana, California for the show and it was worth it. The venue was the perfect place to see a show. Loved the atmosphere and all the staff was friendly & helpful. We had major issues with Ticketmaster not releasing the tickets or parking passes and throwing error codes which caused major delays outside the show but we eventually got it and had fun.

Great show all the way around. Tim Barry wears his heart on his sleeve and plays gutsy folk punk and shared personal stories throughout his opening set. Quicksand always puts on an energetic show with some classic hits and some of the newer tracks. Super positive guys and great set. Hot Water Music had the crowd's full attention and really impressed me with their appreciation for the 30 years of support from their fan base. Always love coming to shows the Observatory.

Best concert I've been to in a while. The only thing is the time that they came on that was listed here was wrong. It said they come on at 7 but that's actually when doors open, they didn't come on till about 9. All I'd recommend is either make it so bandsintown States the time they ACTUALLY come on or check the venues website to clarify the time they come on! Luckily I checked the observatory website so I got there before doors opened and wasn't confused.

i waited for this day for so many months and i don’t see my self thinking it was horrible. this day was the best day ever. i made sure to record every moment to look back when i feel alone. jxdn is the only artist to make me feel like it’s okay being me. loving him and seeing his improve these past 3 years have really been the best. not only jxdn as a person makes me feel okay but so does his music . you don't know how proud i am of you, You are the best artist this world has ever had, it's complete. Everything you've achieved to date, the way you've done it, always with your feet on the ground, dedication and love, has been more than deserved.

I love the Adicts but unfortunately I wasn't able to see them, because the ticket I got was for a festival with other bands and the Adicts, I would have love to just see them on their own. By the time I got to the even they had already played. They did post the time they were going to preform but I guess they moved them up. I was pretty sad. But I do hope to see them and only them in person again.

Whitechapel put on one hell of a show. It's not the bands fault by any means. The audio engineers failed at this show. The left side cabs kept cutting in and out. Which was not only aggravating but made it sound like djent instead of deathcore. The mixing for all the openers Entheos, Signs of the Swarm, and Archspire were all good. Most venues can't seem to get the mix right. Phil's vocals seemed to not come that well thru the mic except on his cleans. Whitechapel was awesome and the show must go on. Disappointing. This venue is either a hit or a miss on audio mixing.

The Acacia Strain is a dastardly wicked band. A long time ago a friend of mine said that having a set that consists of 35-45 minutes of mosh songs just wasn’t good. I beg to differ. People mosh to the opening into of the beast before 1 guitar riff even hits and goes all the way til the last guitar riff in carbomb. Truly wild.

Well the first band was pretty interesting and The Black Satellite was okay. Typical band from New York. But Devildriver put on a great show. I have seen them now a total of 6 times and this was the first time in years and they still got it. I'm happy to see that Dez is alive and well after getting Covid but dude is the greatest. Thank you Devildriver for always being you and for keeping me sane all these years with awesome music.

We made eye contact for like .5 seconds, life is great (just kidding). The venue was pretty great, i was to the right of the stage away from the crowd and still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the openers, and loved how Slater came out during one hundred geese. But most importantly i loved when he performed ‘sitting in the back of my car’ because that’s my favorite song of his 😭😭. I would 100% go again.

it was a good time because of the music and the people. the crowd went all out dancing and in 70s fashion. it seemed like everyone had so much fun, which can just make or break an event like this. but the atmosphere was just okay— there was no disco ball! No real dance floor, just an empty event space. It’s really just an dj playing tracks and fading each one into the next song. And i looove hall & oates and queen, but that’s not disco.. some of the tracks were just off. the dj was a musician who was trying to hype up the crowd and did a great job for awhile, but without much else to it, it got a bit underwhelming i love this idea and think it has so much potential to be a much better event. it was worth the $15 for the fun of it because there aren’t a lot of bars or restaurants that play disco.

Honestly there’s something truly unique about Why? Yoni and Josiah are truly immensely talented, the fact that a two piece were able to strip down their catalog while still capturing the essence of each song speaks volumes. They’re both very kind whenever I awkwardly approach them at the merch booth or venue. I’m thankful to be on the same planet as them at this moment in time. Why? Inspires me to want to be a better musician myself. Don’t sleep on this band or the extensive work of Yoni & Josiah. “Into the barely blur beyond Hold on what's going on? This venue has great FRIES!!! There food was great!! We ordered food and ate at the top peacefully during the opening act!! And because there’s tiers we were able to go to the pit tier relatively easy and it was such a fun concert despite the securities being NARCS and insisting I was hiding something in my platform boots 🤨🤨 TOVE LO WAS AMAZING AS ALWAYS!! She forces everyone to dance and that’s what makes her concert so fun! It’s like a club!

Ani DiFranco was amazing. She was passionate, energetic, friendly, happy, and having fun. She played so many good old songs. She kept her poise during interruptions and told stories. The sound quality and volume were perfect. The audience was excited and loving. It’s like when her fans congregate, we’re long lost family to each other. Ani DiFranco is an inspiration. This show was especially meaningful after reading her book.

The band was........OMMMMMMMMazing! Even when some technical difficulties arose still conquered the crowd. This was a much more rocking show than the last time I saw them at the Regent a year prior. Really hoping for a new record soon. Definitely will see them the next time they come thru!! If you've never seen them, treat yourself instead of cheating yourself. Just be sure to bring that *fire OG* with you!!

I brought my niece and daughter because she is a huge fan. I was expecting to be slow, and was kind of dreading it. Listening to slow mellow music isn't what you really want to listen at a concert, am I right or wrong, you tell me. Anyways..... Shane is a talented artist. His live music is more upbeat then the album for sure. Thankfully for my own sake☺️ He had the whole venue dancing and singing along which was great to see. I loved him so much, we're seeing him again this week!!!
