Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel were phenomenal—high-energy, incredibly tight, and far beyond expectations musically. The long riffs gave each band member room to showcase their talent, and Duane’s connection with the crowd felt genuine throughout. A fun surprise was San Diego’s Steve Poltz, known for his work with Jewel, joining them onstage. My first time at Music Box and I’d absolutely return: quality sound, excellent lighting, easy access to bars and restrooms, and a superb intimate setting for live music.

How do I even put it into words??! The Lemon Twigs ARE THE MOST TALENTED, SHOW STOPPING musicians and vocalists to hit the sound waves in a long time. Their harmonies are truly unfathomable, giving off a 'Beatles-meets-Beach Boys' vibe that gets everyone on their feet, singing and dancing along for the entire show! The quick paced musical set with quirky banter in between makes me wonder just how they do it, song after every energized, melodic song. The two brothers (Brian and Michael D'Addario) share lead vocals/guitar, and are backed beautifully by Reza Matin on percussion/bass/vocals and Danny Ayala on vocals/keyboard/bass. A match made in Haven, these multi-instrumentalists are the calm before the storm in indy rock, and I'll be there when it unleashes!!

Wish that there were more tables at Music Box to sit two people because standing may be tolerable for the younger crowd. But, Anuhea performed well and it is evident the songwriting and music collaboration is solid. She definitely has a following here on the mainland and the beats gets the body movin to the groovin. It would have been more memorable if you can get pics with Anuhea.

Rachel Platten was amazing - although I had seen her multiple times in the past, this show had an extra touch of special as she brought in all her personal troubles and turned it into amazing art. I loved the venue too - it had previously been the Anthology which had closed, but it's good to see it back in business under a new name.

Long time fan of his and it’s been great watching him grow as a performer and artist. With this latest album seeing him perform live after seeing him at Rhythm n Vybes is a must. You get drawn into his performance and crowd work. This tour is a must for everyone!!!!

I liked David Cross and Shane atorres' performances last night. What did detract from the performance ( minus one star) was the venue. 85% standing room only. It's the 1st time i"' ve Been unable to see the performer. There was no vantage point on first or second floor of the music box in San diego that allowed me to watch the performer. The experience left me frustrated as I could have listening to a recording instead and been more comfortable that standing 90 minutes through their routines.

Finally was able to see this genius musician live! He and his band were so tight and clean, and the audience was really digging his groove. A little disappointed jimmy James wasn't there, but the new guy was pretty damn good. And the drummer was on another level! Bravo !

I absolutely loved going for Rocco felt really good to see him in person he had also went out in the front of the venue after the show and interacted with us afterwards. The only downside is that he took forever to get onto the stage. But other than that I’m definitely going again.

Super fun. Great concert by Yachtly Crew. Loved them!! The Radio Thieves (openers) were not good. What kind of 80’s New Wave band dresses in cowboy hats and fringe shirts ?!?! Made no sense. Also-Wish all the food options were available to general admission (taco truck was exclusive to VIP). And we were really disappointed that we could not come in and out of the venue. Should have had wristbands. . We love Little Italy and planned on checking in to concert early, leaving to eat in Little Italy, and coming back in time for concert opener. This was not allowed and very disappointing. The venue was “Little Italy” but we couldn’t go eat in town. What??AND the food truck options were Hawaiian and gyros. Ugh!!!! Nothing Italian and not allowed to go get Italian. Boo!!!! Thankfully drinks from the bar inside Music Box were of quality. We love Yachtly Crew and will continue to go to their concerts.

This concert was “super, super epic.” We were comped a beautiful table and view. The Music Box in San Diego is a quaint classy event space. Gone Gone Beyond fills the heart and soul. They are just spectacular whether playing Red Rocks or this more intimate venue. I love the band members and their families.

I really, really enjoy these gentlemen. Their music is fierce, macabre, and genius. You don't need to understand Turkish to get these guys. They tour so much, which is cool. Although, I would like to see them back in the recording studio working on a new album! The last album they released was in 2019.

Phillip Phillips was outstanding from beginning to end at Friday's show at The Music Box. I have seen him more than once and this concert had such great energy because of the smaller venue and the acoustics were fantastic. So very pleased and will definitely come to The Music Box for future shows. Thank you so much!

Wonderful meet and greet session with Phillip. He was a very gracious, humble and sincere person, answering questions and playing a few songs just for us. The concert was fantastic, with so much energy and interaction with the audience he commanded the stage! He is an incredible rhythm guitarist and his band mates on the bass and lead guitars are real pro's with amazing talent. We'll never forget being able to see him perform in an intimate venue!!! We see him as a rising star commanding even bigger audiences!!!

First of all, SANDS WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! Stoked to see them grow too. Kenny was magic. From him calling out a total d******d who was shoving girls to just the raw and pure talent, it was amazing. True performer and artist. It’s becoming increasingly rare for artists to sound better live than recorded, and that’s Kenny. He’s rare. He’s amazing and I cannot wait to see him again. He moves a crowd. Parties with them, and it really is something that leaves you feeling better than when you came in.

Igorr really brought it - an extremely powerful show from the opening to the encore. Reminiscent of early Cradle of Filth, although Igorr has created their own dark musical realm. Very few bands successfully incorporate opera singers, but Igorr has bridged that gap w/the inclusion of mezzo-soprano Marthe Alexandre and previous singers. One of the best concerts I’ve been to this year. Def go see them if you have the chance.

GREAT SHOW, BUT I THINK THE VOLUME ON DAVES GUITAR NEEDS TO BE TURNED UP WHEN HE'S DOING HIS SOLO's...HE KINDA GETS LOST IN THE PERFORMANCE, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T REALLY HEAR HIM...IN COMPARISON TO MATT's PLAYING. I LIKED THE 1st SONG YOU PLAYED THE BEST! IT WAS ALL GOOD...

Loved the show itself. As always the band was terrific. As for the venue, not really my thing—too many super drunk people all crowding together with no regard for those next to them. The opening act was also not my taste and delayed the show starting until 10pm. Ugh! YC does not need an opening act. Some of us need our sleep and we cannot get home at 2 in the morning!

Grateful to have been able to see her play in such an intimate venue again. Reminded me of seeing her at the old Knitting Factory in LA back in the day, when I snuck backstage and bummed a Parliament cigarette from her . Chan is a Goddess and her voice feels like home. Thank you for an amazing show. ❤️

Awesome venue and killer show! I’ve been wanting to see John 5 since I saw him playing for Rob Zombie a couple years ago and he did not disappoint! I will be first in line next time he is in town! Queensryche delivered a great show as well. Second time I’ve seen them and always a head banging good time!
