Great show! The geezers still got it. Rocked shit out for a good hour and a half. All the old shit was great but first me the cover of Dear Mr. Fantasy they ended the encore with was the highlight! 10 or so minutes of pure bliss!
Johnny 7 & the Black Cats were pretty darned cool too! Excellent evening.
Melissa Carper's show was EVERYTHING!!! I had only heard recordings, and hoped that the band she brought would sound great, and it did! No keyboards, but a fantastic guitarist, fiddle player and drummer, and Melissa on bass. SO FUN! Love Melissa! Love her band!!
The show was very upbeat and joyful. The music was excellent. The crowd was fully engaged. The happiest 90 minutes of the week. Very intergenerational crowd. Pretty much have to stand at the Tractor to see the show, but that was manageable.
What an absolute delight to be able to see The Jayhawks at this venue! They continue to be a thriving, vibrant, and ever relevant group. I’ve been a fan since 1989, and certainly remain one today. And The Tractor Tavern and everyone working the room were welcoming, efficient, organized, and happy. 5 stars all around. Thank you!
So great! The crowd was low energy but the band managed to stay pumped up. I think that audience/band synergy can make the difference between a good show and a great show. I love PB’s energy and songs. Great hooks, and a sweet blend of sounds. I got some bitchin merch too. Check them out if you can.
It was a great show. Baerd was a good addition in join WF on keyboard and guitar and vocals on some songs, they played well together. It was an excellent show, with typically witty banter and storytelling behind some of the songs for WF. Was surprised that the Tractor didn't sell out, but Sunday nights maybe aren't the easiest for folks. Two thumbs up!
Great show, very down to earth and personable. I have trouble describing the music, some mix of old country, folk. It feels like something that would show up on an Alan Lomax recording from 100 years ago.
Maybe it is best described as a polar opposite of a headbanger sausage fest. Maybe describe it with the word I am trying to avoid, romantic.
Great venue, cozy, lots of good viewing angles.
I had such a blast! I've wanted to see The Good Life for over 20 years so I can finally check that off my bucket list. I'm surprised to see how many adoring fans they have in Seattle and it was so much fun to sing along with the crowd.
Absolutely incredible show. Got to meet Jack while he was selling merch and he was so kind and sweet to us. He was even better live than he is on the album, and that's really saying something. If you ever get the chance to see him live, he controls the room. Hope I can see him again on the next tour!
First time at the venue, was a blast. Delta Rae was incredible and the encore of Dance in the Graveyards with a switch into I Wanna Dance With Somebody was some of the most fun I've ever had at a concert. Felt great.
Awesome show. The opening act Cicada Rhythm was a great act to get the energy going with their folk based tunes. Hailing out of Athens GA, they showed we can still count on that town to produce some top notch talent.
Pokey LaFarge brought everything I expected, obviously seasoned, and quite the showman, and his band was also top notch. All talented musicians added their flair to a very energetic and up tempo show. All and all a great musical experience.
I’ve been listening to Imarham since I found them on Spotify under African Blues. Their first album is terrific and it was great to hear the music I live performed live. I never expected to be able to hear them in concert. I would definitely go again anytime they come back to Seattle!
Hayes Carll and his band put on an excellent show Friday night at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard. So nice that live music is back. Hayes set included songs from his previous albums as well as from his recent release “ You Get It All”. His band is excellent. If you get the chance go see them.
Peacemakers were amazing at the Tractor last night! Played a lot of Refreshments songs for us old folks. Roger Clyne and the group sure do work for their supper!
I took someone who had never heard of them and she loved it, so just go! =)
It was my first time seeing a show at the Tractor Tavern in just over 2 years. I had tickets to see Corb Lund and his band when everything shut down. So as soon as tickets went on sale I knew I was going. Corb and his band put on a very good show and you could tell they were having a good time also. It was fun to see live music again. If you have a chance to see them play, definitely do it.
Emily is incredibly talented and put on a great show while dealing with tuning issues and a dude in the front who kept yelling what I imagine he thought were interesting points. When Emily blows up to the top of the country charts, I'll be proud to say I saw her at the Tractor Tavern! Props to the sound guy because she sounded heavenly
One of the best live acoustic performances I have seen. As in the history of ever. Eric, as well as his guest musicians, commanded the stage with their soulful vibes and engaging talent. ✨💝🙌🏻
Ben Dickey opened and had a nice set of songs. His guitar playing was really cool. He joined Hayes later in the show performing a Blaze Foley song. Hayes and his band were very tight and he covered most of the songs I have heard. He also has funny dry sense of humor when introducing each song with a story. Will definitely try and see him again.
Five out of five stars! Don’t know why it’s only letting me do 4 1/2. Israel Nash poured his heart out at the concert, and his band was amazing. Can’t say enough about this guy, I can’t believe he’s not selling out arenas!
