This was better than amazi stupendous!!! Best rock show I've seen in ages. Fogerty's voice, guitar work, and are those of his CCR days, but far better with time. And he is 79!! Changing guitars with each song, his riffs were amazing...and young, awesome, could watch his fingerings on the big screens!!! His two sons also were on guitars. One of them played a solo and ended with a duet with his dad. The boy was incredible, on a plane with his dad. The instrumentation was fantastic, a Fogerty trademark and the saxophonist was off the charts. Don't miss the Celebration Tour!!!!!
This was a fantastic concert. George Thorogood and the Destroyers and John Fogerty both brought a lot of energy and humor to their sets. Fogerty in particular seemed to be truly enjoying himself since getting his songs from Creedence back. The Family Arena venue was decent, but the location makes entering and exiting the facility very unpleasant. Other than that a fantastic experience
Betty LaVette was great! Although she was the opening act, she gave the audience more, both in quality and length, than the headliner.
When Al Green sang he was great. The problem he didn't sing all that much. His fifty-five minute set was unacceptably short. Too often, he failed to sing full verses or even full lines of his songs, instead singing only the first word or two and then prompting the audience to sing the rest. Passing out flowers to the people standing in front of the stage* is nice, but I think spent more time passing out flowers than actually performing.
I am glad I made the trip to catch one of Al Green's few shows because I get to check something off my bucket list. I just don't feel like a got a full show.
* What was the deal with people crowding around the stage? I don't remember this show selling pit (general admission standing) tickets. I would be really ticked if I had paid to sit in the front rows and ended up with that obstructed view.
It was wonderful. They were both great. Wish I could see them again. Was lucky to have a front row seat. Been a fan all these 20 years. Great singing and funny banter.
BTO did not disappoint! The place was rockin! Great venue for this concert, they know how to manage a crowd, and very friendly people! I am so thrilled I got to see BTO! If you get a chance to see these guys, Go !!!
Excellent! Andrew Ripp and Crowder were the best opening act for sure! They were so very good! Mercy Me was extraordinary as usual! It was the best concert! Thank you for making Saint Louis part of your tour. We Love you all very much!
The show was absolutely amazing!! The venue had a lot to be desired. This was my 2nd time to attend a concert at The Family Arena. My first time was for Winter Jam and we sat on the floor, so we did not sit in the stadium seats. If I ever come to The Family Arena again I will NOT sit in the stadium seats. They were the most uncomfortable seats ever. Everyone around me was complaining about how low they sat and how uncomfortable they were. This was a sold out concert and for how expensive the tickets were, you would think that the seats could be a lot more comfortable. I have attended multiple events at St. Louis Enterprise Center and they have a lot better seating and they are much more comfortable. Ripp, Crowder and Mercy Me did not disappoint, but like I said, for the price of the tickets the seats were horribly uncomfortable, for short and tall people.
It was FABULOUS!!!!! especially Gary Puckett. I asked him to marry me. LOL!!!!! He is my crush!!!!!! But we missed our sister Goosey, she couldn't make it. And our friends knew how excited we were when we were willing to miss the Kansas City Chiefs game. NFL WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!! My WONDERFUL brother in law Rick Winchester surprised us and bought tickets. He didn't know he also was going to have to be our chauffeur. Go the see the concert. You will love it!!!! Thanks sooo much for everything Rick. YOU ROCK!!!!!
Kenny was five stars for sure.
Unfortunately the venue would be a negative five. It took over an hour to get IN TO A PARKING SPOT. Although I paid for parking in advance, the line to get into the lot was two miles long. People were parking in random spots and just walking the last 3/4 of a mile to the venue. NEVER AGAIN.
Kenny was awesome!! I really wanted to give this review 5 stars, but The Family Arena parking situation was a complete mess! It took about 45 minutes to get into the lot so my friend and I missed the set by the Yacht Rock Revue which we were really looking forward to. And then it was also a complete cluster getting out of the lot at the end of the night as well. There are no marked spaces so no signs to help you locate your car. People were just wandering around the lot for a long time after the concert trying to find their cars. And cars were going every which way to try to get to one of the two exits. it took us 45 minutes to even get to the exit. The Family Arena REALLY needs to fix this. I don't think I'll go there again. But Kenny's show was worth all the trouble. I hope to see him again before he wraps up his tour.
Judas Priest always a great show. It is amazing that Rob Halford, at 71, can still hit those high notes. You can tell that he still enjoys the thrill of the crowd and encourage the praise and appreciation. Fine solos from Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner (replaced KK Downing in 2011). Shout out to Ian Hill sole continuous member, keeping that rhythm and groove with drummer Scott Travis.
(the Family Arena is not acoustically friendly but a great show nevertheless)
Winger played a show that great in that they played the songs true to the original and provide brilliantly harmonized vocals. They involved the crowd in single along with familiar favorites. I would have like to hear a few more songs from last two releases, Karma and Better Days.
Robert Mason and the Warrant crew were very good. The acoustic of the Family Arena in St. Charles are not good and not the best place for the concert. I have seen Warrant twice and I have a criticism that is they mainly played (on both occasions) song of the first two albums, DRFSR and Cherry Pie while these are fine albums, it limits the band in several ways. One, this an opportunity to play songs that may not have been heard in the past shows. Two, It is a way to play songs from albums that may not have been heard from these albums by the fans. Along this line, it was the 30 anniversary of Dog Eat Dog and the band even played other Dog eat dog songs by Nugent and AC/DC yet they only played Machine Gun from this album, missed opportunity as some bands have played the whole album like Judas Priest did for British Steel anniversary show. Likewise, the album Louder, Harder, Faster(LHF) only the title track was played yet the stage displayed the LHF album cover. This is not a smart move if you are planning on widening your fan base.
Absolute phenomenal performance by motionless in white! I love this band I listen to this band everywhere I go so I was hyped to see them live I will definitely be attending another show when they come to St. Louis.
An absolute great show from beginning to end! All the artists were excellent and the Family Arena was nice to watch a show in! Could’ve used to had a few more concession areas open though!
Once again, even with a change in their line up,FASTER PUSSYCAT rock and rolled THE Family Arena Friday night. Introducing their new single, "Nola",the band were in quite a fine format. Vocalist Taime Downe sounds great and still rocks as hard. This is my 10th time seeing FP,and they never disappoint.
The bands were amazing! The site workers were rude af, not counting the Merch Sellers. I mean the people directing lines, and facilitating the event. Killed the mood really quickly, especially the female parking money taker.
Otherwise, a pretty bomb concert.
The pit was amazing!! ADTR played some of their older songs as well which was cool to hear!! It was also great to see I Prevail live for the 1st time. By far the best ADTR concert I've been to.
It was a great concert!!! Loved the performers they were all amazing and uplifting. It was a great time spent together with my husband for our anniversary!!! It was a great time to reflect on things and being brought closer to GOD! Shed some tears throughout the night but overall would recommend anyone to see Casting Crowns, Zach Williams, Austin French, and Zauntee in concert!!
This concert was the fourth time I have seen Casting Crowns and it has never been a disappointment. They are just fantastic..
It was my first time seeing the Zac Williams band and Austin French they were wonderful as well. Hated to see it end. Love worshipping the Lord with them. Thank you for coming and sharing your ministries with us. Hope to be seeing them all again.
