If you have never seen Fantastic Cat, what is wrong with you? They played a shortened “spayed and neutered” show, with no drums, as they were opening for the legendary Lucinda Williams. Within 40 minutes, the kitties had the sold out crowd on their feet and cheering for more! Buy their albums, both of which are stellar and without a bad tune, buy their merch- love me the Shitty Eagles (all available on their website), and for gods sake, go see these dudes live! Oh- Rabbit Hole alert… Each member of Fantastic Cat has a long history of amazing solo work. Look up each member and buy their albums for many hours of incredible music!

Richard Thompson is the premier singer-songwriter-Guitarist of all time and his performance at Northampton's Academy of Music on 10/11/24 proves that once again. Incredible show for any artist, maybe especially a 75 year old dynamo. I defy anyone to name another who is a master at all 3, some don't write, some don't sing, some don't play. Wonderful night at a terrific venue.

The show was amazing! His band was so masterful that all the songs sounded just like the originals. The stories would tell you the background information on the songs. He is a true artist and performer.

Can we add more stars?! INCREDIBLE SHOW in a very nice venue. AATW was outrageously talented and amazingly tight. Was too enthralled by watching the musicians to want to get up and dance. Highly anticipated and EXCEEDED expectations.

At 73 Ray Benson aka Asleep at the Wheel was Western Swing Country Rock solid. Still putting on a amazing performance even after 50+ years on the road. He was having a great time with his band and it showed. The entire venue was doin' the boot-scoot-n-boggie the whole show. Great tunes from start to- Happy Trails! - Awesome place to take in a show!

It was so good to see Preacher again after checking him out in Boston a few weeks ago and again last night! He's hilarious and I love his charm with the crowd every time it never disappoints!

Awesome show. An icon, virtuoso guitarist, speaks truth to power and reminds us of what is most important. Still going strong. Northampton Academy of Music is a classic, historic theater. The city is full of music venues, eating establishments, two great breweries, educational institutions and welcoming individuals.

The Jayhawks were wonderful - one great song after another. Beautiful harmonies with several members singing lead vocals on different songs. Sound was a bit muddy despite our close proximity to the stage is only complaint.

They never disappoint, would like them to go on for another hour, but that’s not realistic. Would like to hear Tim R. Sing another song or two as well as Karen G. Looking forward to seeing them at the Green River concert. PS Gary you got your self a looker, hang on to her.

I have heard they are a very good band,first time seeing them.Turned out way better than my expectations. Toatly Awsome. Well worth your time!!

Great show. I enjoyed the stories almost as much as the music. Both artists seem to play well off each other and had an authentic affection for each other

Glad to see Josh in his usual upbeat form, (even though he had a cold). Concert was great, he mixed a number of his songs from over the years to keep everyone pleased.

It was a great show. I have been waiting and hoping Melody would tour. It was worth the wait. I thought she was fantastic and her quartet was superb. The feedback clitch is hardly worth mentioning, she handled it with such aplomb. This was our first visit to the Academy of Music in Northampton. We enjoyed the venue and can’t wait to go back.

It was an AMAZING show! Not 1 second of it was a disappointment. She was fantastic, of course, and her accompanying musicians were perfectly on point. The venue was beautiful, intimate and good sound. I'll definitely be back. And if I had the money, I'd follow Rickie Lee Jones around the country and (through the grocery stores.) ❤😎

It was just great. Rickie Lee and I go back a long way - - you know, being of similar ages, me being the mind blown listener of her music as she presented it over the years. Being in the audience with her music, within her mature distillation -playing that guitar so cunningly and the piano, sublimely. I've taken her pretty seriously to heart, believe her when she sings, and keep as a memory in that heart pocket of mine: So you keep talking in many languages Telling us the way you feel Don't stop confiding in the road you're on Don't quit, you're walking satellites

What a Great band , love their style, sound and Lukas is an Awesome guitar player. Can’t wait to see them again .

Andrea was amazing ❤ Andrea's voice fills my heart with so many emotions it's unreal. Andrea's show was mind blowing as always. And Andrea and their girlfriend were THE CUTEST!

It was really fun. He had this guy with him that could play any instrument and Tap dance.
