My fourth time seeing them. Not necessarily a disappointment, as their new album is their greatest material yet, but I couldn’t help but feel like they performed better previously when they were opening for other bands. Either way, still a great show, Sour Widows and especially Teethe killed it
I will never not see this band when they roll through! Amazing talent, beautiful lyrics, fantastic sound. And to top it off, every one of them are the freaking nicest guys! Pony, Matthew, Ryan, Taylor and Bob, we had such a great time meeting and talking with you after the show. Please come back soon.
I’ve loved GWP for a while, but for some reason they’re still slept on. However they kill it every time!!! The lead (Emmyn) is incredible and hilarious! His first EVER GWP show was at this venue too and I was able to be front row for both shows (this one and the first ever). 13/13 recommend seeing them live if you can! So fun! 🔥🖤🤘🏻✨
Also the mini acoustic set after the show was so special too 🥰
I could’ve watched Mike Viola play for hours and hours. Aside from his incredible guitar prowess and vocals, his storytelling and banter is hilarious and at times also very poignant and insightful. His decades in the music business as an artist and producer leave you with a performance rich with stories and a peek into the creative process.
It is a special treat when you’re in the presence of someone who loves to play music so much they are lit up from the inside. Mike is that kind of artist. Seeing him live is like he invited you over to his house, made sure you’re comfy and then just rocks your socks off. I flew in to see him at The Valley Bar and it was well worth the trip. Mike Viola is a gem! I’ve seen him solo acoustic as was this show and with a full band and both are incredible musical experiences. 10/10!!!
The 5 stars is for the overall night. Camello Road, Daphne + The Glitches and, of course, Chrome Rhino were all very awesome. To speak specifically of Daphne + The Glitches, I’m not ashamed to admit that she was not on my radar before, but I’m glad she is now. They closed their set with Power Shifter. It was a great energetic track to finish their set with and made me wish they had more time on stage. I will certainly be watching for the next time they play. Until then, I’m hoping Ghost Moone is gonna be good.
We had the best time ever!!!!!! Pardy was truly everything I needed to seee I love every bit of his music!!!! And his openers so great to such a chill vibe with All I am truly thankful!!!! And he signed my arm and I got it tatted today!
so fun, i’ve seen shows that cost 4x as much with 1/4 the stage presence. i’ve loved him for years and brought friends who hadn’t heard his music before but were pulling up his page by the end. thank you so much for a great night! and to whoever donated a ticket that night - THANK YOU!!!! you got my internet friend who just moved into town into the place so me and my partner could hang with them.
Me and the boys cranked our hogs, back squatted 400lbs and smashed brews like lawn care dad's. during the Goblin Hours tour. Praise oh great MURI. Please grace us with your everlasting Corn-fed Yetis once again as we worship the Hogman & anabolic spudsman daily.
Bought tickets for my son’s first concert to see his favorite band. Upgraded to VIP a week before the show. The meet and greet and acoustic performance was an amazing experience for my son. I myself hadn’t heard of Good Kid until my son asked to go. They ROCK! My son had an amazing time got to meet them and was in the front row the whole night. Valley Bar hosted the show. Good food and drinks their stuff was friendly and fast. 5 stars for Good Kid. Thank you for making my son’s first concert to see his favorite band amazing!!
(This photo I’m adding is the only one I have, because Will had asked for no recordings and such after that point)
Will Wood! Where do I begin??
This is a concert I loved not only because of the laid-back acoustic nature of it, but also because of the level of personality Will exuded. I say it’s worth going even just for him alone (though the crowd will sometimes ruin it with heckling). Overall great show! The music played was a lot more personable it seems, and it definitely made me happy to see a change in pace from the eccentric nature of Wills old shows.
After seeing him open for Better Oblivion Community and Phoebe Bridgers I was so looking forward to this headline show and it was awesome! The sound was great, it was in an intimate venue and the show ended before 10! What more can a guy in his thirties ask for? Lol. Go see him when you can!
Best concert I’ve ever been to, especially since we were so close so there was more interactions. One band memory seemed a bit tired but all-in-all I had a fantastic time and even made a few of them laugh :) Waiting for the next time they’re back in Arizona.
Witnessing Lana del Rabies live is a true spiritual experience, an authentic and harrowing outpouring of emotion that is best described as dark liturgy. Not everyone will understand it at first, but all will remember it and hopefully be converted to a love and appreciation of darkwave and power electronics.
i love them so much i would give my left arm, first born, all my life savings, my favorite necklaces and earrings, the freshest water i own, and the ability to grow hair on my head to see this show again and talk to them all (the security guards didn’t let me get a pic with them ((i’m coming for you security guard….)) i loved this show sm if u have a show in ur area that’s not sold out BUY TICKETS RN. ITS SUCH A STEAL FOR THE PRICE
It was so wonderful seeing an amazing talent like Rob Garza and company play in such an intimate venue. He was so humble and pleasant to speak to after the show. It's great to know that after all these years he still loves making people happy with his talent.
First time seeing them, super fun show. Got a high five from Sean when he made his way into the crowd, made my day, you don’t/can’t get that kind of interaction in the bigger venues. 😁 Will definitely see them again next time they’re in Phoenix! Was a bit bummed that Morgxn wasn’t able to be there, but Zac Barnett was amazing too. ❤️🧡💛💚
Although I had seen Pavement three times dating back to high school, I had yet to see Spiral play a solo show. The show at the Valley Bar in Phoenix was incredible. Culling his set from all phases of his career (Pavement, Preston School of Industry, and his three solo records), the show was fun and had the relentless energy of an old school house party. If you’ve never seen Spiral live or just know him from Pavement, go check him out live. It’s an awesome show.
I loved the music. I was upset that all these tall people stood in the front and it completely blocked my view. Because of this I was not able to fully enjoy my experience. I'd love to see Anomalie again in the states and perhaps at a venue with more space in front of the stage.
