elite lineup,, terror had to cancel but last minute but that was fine , the guys who stepped in (i think they were called forewarned) were great, overall good night sound quality was unreal
Spent the evening laughing singing and crying. I genuinely feel Grandson has such a deep connection and care for his community.
Cant wait for next time!!
Bloody brilliant show in Sydney on 3rd of fed. . I came along as guardian to my 14 yr old son. We flew from Adelaide for the show thank you for doing an under 18’s show. Hope to see you in Adelaide sometime. I was throughly entertained. 1 had only heard 1 song, so I wasn’t expecting to be so wowed. Great show.
Chappell Roan was INCREDIBLE and it was amazing to be at her concert 🩷 Truly she embodied the stage and I really want to see more drag queens as openers now. It was a little sad how often she was drowned out by the crowd, the sound mixing could’ve been better. Chappell is known for being a superstar in live so we wanna hear her!
The low stars are because 170 Russell could clean up its act - how is the venue still sticky everywhere before everyone even got inside? And the cloakroom system was verified via text message when there’s no reception in the space (plus the free wifi was dead lol). The security guards were also not across gender inclusivity, which was jarring at a concert that’s all about LGBT+ community and celebration.
Slaughter To Prevail put on an incredible show and exceeded my expectations! Vocals and instruments were absolutely on point. Only complaint is that there were no opening acts. My love for this band has grown so much. I hope they come back to Melbourne soon!
Excellent performance from Pseudo Echo … Great interactive concert .. brought back many memories from the 80’s era. Thank you for keeping the vibe going ….
I was lucky enough to be able to upgrade to VIP so I got to meet them! Julian and Dylan gave it their all even though they were hungover from the AFL game. They were jumping around, cracking jokes. they really embraced Aussie culture, Julian did a shoey (he also wore Aussie flag socks), Aussie oi chants, even cheering on the Matildas. Stephen Haaker the drummer (rainbow jacket) awesome dude. I don't know his name but the ginger haired assistant guy who took this photo, and all the staff at 170 Russell were great. The supporting act Closure (Insta: @closuresydney) so cool. To sum it up in 7 words: I had the time of my life!
My only disappointment was they didn't go through the entire Dichotomy EP. Will always be time for new stuff for new listeners but I wanted a bit more of the old, which I thought this tour was all about. Void and Pridelands also didn't belch out any old hits.
Plini brought it yet again. Effortless brilliance and a massive sound. I Built the Sky lit up the room as first support with the crowd responding in spades. The night was an absolute treat for guitar-philes. I would see it again tonight if I could
Been waiting 5 years to see him live. Absolutely killed it and worth it. Pierre is an absolute genius and deserves his respect for what he has done in the music game. He has brought a lot to the scene.
Kinda bummed that the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus had audio issues during their gig, but they were heckin amazing despite that. Boys Like Girls were awesome too. It’s like we all time travelled back to 2006 and it was one helluva gig ♥️
Boys Like Girls were amazing!! The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus were also great and it was awesome that BLG brought them out, as it was like a double-billed concert. My only complaint, which I noticed others in the crowd had as well, was that the volume for the instruments was up way too loud and it was really difficult to hear the vocals. It's been almost 24 hours and my ears are still ringing really bad. That's not normal. Just drop the volume by like 10-20% and it would have been perfect 👌
Tove and Memphis brought so much energy to the stage and had such a positive impact on so many people. The venue was clean and the venue staff and security were helpful and friendly. Overall an amazing experience and a venue I would recommend.
Fantastic show, stole the limelight a little from Alpha Wolf! Next time you guys bring us a headlining tour down under, I’ll be right there in the front of the pit.
Fabulous gig! Absolute stella musicians and everyone had a great time. Great crowd apart from this odd mask-wearer beside us who looked like he was a chicken pecking at the ground for most of it. Each to their own I guess.. I do have a problem with someone showing their goats 🤘🏻in a funk soul show though. And his cries of Hallelujah! may have been because he was about to die from lack of oxygen due to the before mentioned mask wearing.
Wow! One of the best gigs I've been to. These guys are so incredibly talented, amazing live, and looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as the crowd were. I could listen to Tom Howie's voice all day long, just beautiful
Another 5 stars for the Baby Amimals, but they can do no wrong for me. How good were The Angels? Last saw circa 1985. Highlight of my night crowd sing along to classic after classic after classic. Getting me some more of this ( 4 more gigs to be precise). Get along to this tour of the BA,s and The Angels if you are thinking about it. You won’t be disappointed.
By far the best concert I've been to. Truely able to live in the moment and the venue size is just right... Maybe more smaller shows like these to really live in the moment with your fans. Remember where you started!
It was an amazing show! I was three people from the front and was noticed by Jaehyeong, I fucking lost it. I would definitely see The Rose again no matter what.
Awesome show! These guys never disappoint. Only gave 4 and a 1/2 cause I think the venue didn’t really capture their full sound. I’ve seen these guys play outside venues and I think that’s when they are at their best!
