Outstanding performance! Nice mix of old favorites with new material from their just released album. Be prepared to stand at Martyrs' which has about 20 stools for a ~300 capacity room.
Fantastic show - great to see these artists at the beginning of a great career together - their appreciation of the crowd, coupled with their immense talent made it a very memorable experience!!! Can’t wait to see them again!
This is an amazing band! Saw 2 shows over this past weekend and going to another in 5 more days. If you jave a chance to see them play, BY ALL MEANS GO!!
KSC is always a fantastic show! Band is tight, jammy, eclectic and includes the crowd to feel it too!
The Trouble Notes always bring incredible energy and a party vibe to every concert. They never disappoint! It was a great show. So good to see them live again and no better place to do it than Martyrs!
Amazing in person, felt the passion he has for not only his music but his fans. Only regret was after meeting him in person and being embraced by the friendliness he shows to everyone he meets; I left without getting a picture with him. If you get a chance to be in his audience, consider yourself lucky.
Giacomo and his band, The Funky Minutes, were outstanding! Great medleys assembled with precision that were not only rhythmically funky, but also beautiful chord structures voiced by all while transitioning to each new section. For the average listener, they bopped their heads and danced in sync to the music while the musically trained enjoyed and appreciated the entire experience. Each of the musicians were highly polished pros and Giacomo, of course, added his guitar virtuosity to complete the experience. I can only imagine how far this first American tour will boost his audience base and advance his well-deserved musical career. Can't wait for more
albums and tours!
We enjoyed the original & sampled numbers that were performed and appreciated their twist on the version of the original selections they introduced us to. The musicians with AND Giacomo Turra clearly are familiar with great jazz @ R & B musicians’ repertoire.
Mucca Pazza never disappoints... the room was electric and a whole lotta fun!
Mr. James is a fantastic songwriter, an entertaining performer, and is very approachable. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to see him play live if you can.
It had been 4 years since our last time seeing Consider the Source, and it was completely worth the wait. These guys are not only top notch musicians, but also some of the nicest, most down to earth people out there. I will continue to support them as long as they keep making music!
Great band! I can see them going to the next level soon.
Danielle Nicole has it all going on! Fantastic voice and range, she plays bass like a bad ass and she has amazing stage presence. Her guitarist (and hubby) Brandon Miller is a fine musician himself and plays a mean guitar. He always blows me away! Add to the lineup Coco Ray, drummer extraordinaire, and you have one heck of a band! They come to Chicago area, I am there!
The Second Hand News live show is an absolute blast. This band actually sounds better than the real thing. Don’t miss!
Kick The Cat once again kicked it into high gear with another amazing show. It was obvious they have been doing a lot of gigs as they were super tight and on it. Their music and performance is far from ordinary, full of surprises and left turns. The average listener will find the material challenging, but for me, nirvana is to be in front of the group as they perform magic tricks for the ear. Sorry to learn that Kris Myers will split off to join Umphrey's McGee. A drummer with equivalent chops is a rare bird, or should I say cat. Long live Kick The Cat.
JD Always puts on a great show!
Never Disappoints the crowd!
Best Guitar pkayer Ever!
Fantastic to see live! Very cool guy. Love all of his work.
Amazing concert at intimate venue with two great opening acts. I’m a mom of a 17 year old member of LGBTQ who has found Will’s music to be supportive and encouraging. I was pleased to see so many others like my child at the concert and to hear Will talk about inclusion and his own identity and self journey. Thank you Will Wood for being someone these kids can relate to. Music speaks when words fail and you are speaking to so many!
Kung Fu always smashes the scene. Hope to see them back again in chi soon. Don’t understand why they’re not bigger but I’m grateful to get to see them in the midwest...
Badass! Great times! First time I was able to see them and was not disappointed!! Come back to Chicago soon!
