Melkweg

TR/ST on September 13 was a blast. This was my second time seeing TR/ST in Amsterdam, and somehow it just keeps getting better. His voice is aging like fine wine, and I finally got to hear “Gone” live, which made the night for me. Thank you for the music and for creating something that gives me such a beautiful mix of serenity, freedom, melancholy, and hope.

I have seen many incredible live shows, but this one was something else. DARKSIDE doesn't simply perform songs—they construct sonic architecture. Every sound feels intentional, every layer has a purpose, and the music unfolds like a living organism. It is organic and electronic at the same time, intimate yet vast. Rather than filling space with sound, they create space out of sound. What struck me most was the way they manipulated tension. Most artists build toward an explosion. DARKSIDE builds toward an implosion. They let chaos grow for so long that you begin to wonder whether there will ever be a release. Then, instead of delivering a huge, predictable drop, they pull everything inward. Layers disappear, the sound contracts, and somehow that absence creates an even greater emotional impact than a conventional climax. I've never experienced anything quite like it. The addition of the live drums gave the music a new dimension. The trio felt more like an improvising band than an electronic act, adding warmth, complexity, and a subtle jazz-like interplay without losing the hypnotic essence of DARKSIDE. Nicolás Jaar, Dave Harrington, and Tlacael Esparza created an extraordinary balance between precision and unpredictability. Every transition felt earned, every moment of silence was as meaningful as the sounds surrounding it. This wasn't just one of the best concerts I've attended—it was one of the most fascinating musical experiences I've ever had.

At the eve of their appearance in the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, these lovely girls, Lily, Ellie and Powell did a fantastic gig at the Melkweg which was sold out. And the reason why is obvious, they rock!! Together with a solid band they did a real good show in an intimate setting. So nice to get so close, instead of being far away in a stadium. Hope to see you soon again overhere!!

I am glad I went to see Mariana Froes live. It was a great evening filled with beautiful Brazilian music and a relaxed atmosphere. Her voice sounded fantastic live, and the songs felt even more special in person. There was something about the music and the atmosphere that made the evening feel a little like home, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful performance.

What an absolute blast of a concert! The venue set up was incredible, lighting supported the show splendidly. Drank a couple of pints of delicious beer to celebrate the awe inspiring power metal songs that blessed our mortal ears. Moonlight Haze set up the show and the crowd, lead singer's voice so powerful in the room it started a wild fire in my and the crowds hearts, which turned into a blaze of glory when Brothers of Metal started playing their set. Truely an experience like no other! Rock on! This tour will light up thousands of viking hearts across Europe. Enjoy and relish it, brothers and sisters of Metal! I will definitely see you next time you are in the Netherlands. May that time come with haste of a viking warrior! SKÅL!!!

Danny said he was struggling with his voice due to very cold conditions on the performance the night before, but he managed to put on an amazing show, taking us on a terrific musical journey by singing his heart out, even drinking tea in between the songs to manage. If he hadn’t mentioned it we would not have known at all! What a blast the night was!

The show was absolutely AMAZING, and the bandmembers were super friendly to us, fans. I enjoyed every second of it! I really missed the Meet & Greet that I always bought for previous shows. Without the Meet & Greet, the cherrie on the cake, it didn't feel complete 😢 I attended every contest to win one, but I'm never lucky at contests so I missed out. Zero strikes me as a nice dude, but he seemed unsettled by the low turnout at this particular show. It seemed to reflect throughout the show with some awkward comments regarding songs he doesn't like playing, projecting his shock at the low attendance, and stating he was happy to be close to the end of the tour. While I understand the burden on artists during tour, I don't feel like it helped an already awkward situation. To be fair I was surprised at the turnout too, because the attendance in other shows seemed great. I'd say the crowd made the most of it, starting a few pits and generally doing their part in supporting the artists. Zero, as a vocalist, sounded stellar to me. I can't fault him for that at all. The live instrumentation was good, the setlist pleased the crowd, and he has an impressive vocal range he could boast throughout. Going from heavy screams to mellow singing and rap. All of it worked well. Ryan Oakes was the support act I had originally come to the show for. Ryan was pretty much by his merch booth whenever he wasn't doing something related to his set. He signed mine and others' merch and had a chat with everyone that wanted to say hi. Ryan handled the smaller crowd better in my opinion. He sounded good on the mic, and had a good setlist for the limited time he had too.

I would like to give 5 stars because I absolutely loved it and I adore his music! But, to be honest, I found it way too short (maybe play some older songs as a bonus or talk a bit more between the tracks?). So that was a letdown. Another downside was that the venue and balcony were way too crowded. It felt like the venue was too small for 1500 people. If you’re not very tall, you can’t see the stage from the back. And if you want to move forward, there are also (tall) people who won’t let you through or even push you aside :(

The show was insane! Omar is an amazing performer, his presence on the stage is mesmerizing, his vocals and dancing skills are out of this world. I enjoyed every single minute of the show and had lots of fun. Thank you so much! One comment about the venue, you could have done a better job with the queue, people waited way too long outside before you let everyone in to another event, and it was really cold...

This concert was amazing! It focused entirely on Calum and his unbelievable talent. There are no frills, no theatrics. Just the band and Calum. It is a concert that makes you cry, makes you laugh, makes you dance. I’ve been to so many concerts where I’ve really been bored and the quality of the music was not what you would associate with the artiste. With Calum, he sounds even better in real. This concert touched my soul.

Great show by the Punk Rock Factory yesterday evening @ Melkweg. The band knows how to perform and interact with the audience. They even stayed calm and professional while some people in the audience went a bit out of control, throwing their drinks on stage (out of excitement) as well as jumping on the stage during the performance. Big shout out to both support bands (Bronnie and The Bottom Line) who also performed well and did great with the lower number in the audience at the very beginning.

An amazing experience as always. The solos were perfect, the voice was identical to the EP and the atmosphere was INCREDIBLE! The sound quality of the venue Melkweg (as someone that stood in the first row at the mouth of the speaker) was perfect! The band and the team did an amazing job at making it all on point. The only reason for the 4.5 was that we waited an hour for the concert to start (it was scheduled for 19:00, we got in at 19:20 and the event started at 20:05). And, if people like me waited for over an hour for the show to start and are still willing to give nigh max rating, you know it was amazing. The band is amazing and, even if you don’t know the songs, you can enjoy an amazing evening with phenomenal music. Definitely a worthwhile visit!!

this might have been one of the best concerts i have ever been to. the ambiance, the performance, the way that fike interacted with his audience, the band. everything was perfect. i jumped, sang and purely enjoyed this concert. the only downsides were the way too loud girl that was standing behind me (screaming the entire time) and the waiting time. there was no support act and therefore we had to wait inside the tightly packed venue for nearly two hours.

The concert was great, he has a great dynamic with his band. They seem like friends just hanging out. And Ben Barnes has such a good voice, his music has a chill vibe with a sprinkle of rock (or something like it). I hope people will come to these shows more and more for his music and not his acting. He deserves to be recognized for his amazing voice and lyrics!

For the lead singer being sick - the show was great! you wouldntve really noticed if he didn’t say anything. However at the venue, the sound was off. Vocals super low to the point where I had to go GM from the first row to the 8th just to hear the words. Wouldn’t recommend VIP, there was maybe 15 of us, they didn’t have laminated VIP passes and they did 3 soundcheck songs instead of 4 and the guys came out after the show to meet fans and chat - waste of money but is still see them again 19000%

It was a lot of fun. My bf & I didn't get to the meet & greet cause of issues with the tickets so I think it was gravys manager that took us to him after the show so that we could still get it. We hung out with him after the show & it was amazing, he was very friendly & welcoming. Shows that he cares for his fans to invite us after & just chill with us until we got to go

This was my first concert of Michael. I loved it soo much! It was on my mom's birthday. She loved it too. Afterwards Michael signed my newly bought t-shirt, so I talked very briefly with him. I love him so much, he's so sweet. And very handsome as well. His performance was very great. I've never been to a concert of him before, so I can't compare it with an earlier concert, but it was really amazing. I was standing almost at the front row. He sings very good live, a lot of singers don't. So I was really impressed. He dances really nice and cute, I can't really describe it, but I love to watch it. I really enjoyed the night and I can't wait to see him again someday in the Netherlands. This time I will buy a meet & greet upgrade, f**k school! I really wanna meet him. His supporting act was very nice as well. This guy named Micah Erenberg (idk how to spell it). I didn't know him, but I thought his songs were very nice and funny. He can play the guitar soo amazing, I loved that. Great choice of supporting act! I really loved Michael his performance and singing and of course himself. I'm really looking forward to meeting him again in the, probably very distant, future. I recommend going to his concert. I love Michael for his music, not because he played Enzo in the vampire diaries. Of course he was great as Enzo, but Michael has a lot more to offer. I see him as Michael Malarkey, a great artist. Not as Enzo, a handsome British vampire. **

I’ve seen every show from HS in the Netherlands and this was by far the best I’ve seen! I was surprised to see what a show they CAN do because their last show wasn’t great. (They were wasted and mostly just jamming songs) Never forget the early days with them and always knew they could do so much better, this the highly suspect I want to see and love. MCID!

Amazing concert. The audience that attended was excited and definitely here for all of The HU, not just for Yuve Yuve Yu and/or Wolf Totem. This made for one hell of an excited crowd, lots of cheering and brotherhood. Everyone was united under the banner of Hunnu Rock. The only reason that I cannot give five stars is because of the venue. The place was too small, too warm and too dense. Because of the place being so small the smoke combined with the red lights obstructed the view of the band. One final thing which must not be forgotten is the encore. The HU had left the stage with the last pictures being taken. The crowd, however, had not finished, and as they wear chanting “HU! HU! HU!” The band came back on stage to play Yuve Yuve Yu another time! I had an amazing time and will definitely visit their next show in the Netherlands. My favourite song was Uchirtai gurav.
