Ghost's performance was exceptional; the setlist was superb, and I highly recommend attending their show. To enhance the experience, phones were secured in pouches, creating a more immersive and memorable event. While entry to the SEC Hydro in Glasgow experienced some delays due to safety precautions, I understand the prioritization of safety. However, improved communication from staff regarding the delays would have been beneficial. Overall, the evening was a resounding success, resulting in cherished memories.
Ghost were utterly amazing. They always put on a show and this was no exception. My third time seeing them and I will definitely be back. So why 4 stars honestly the venue was chaos. From doors opening to us getting to our seats took over 2hrs and we used the priority entrance. There was a lot of issues.
It was tremendous. The stage itself was a triumph. Lots of great background animation and it changed with every song. Teddy was engaging and chatty and genuine. He sang all the favourites and the background to Northern Lights was fabulous. He stopped talking and got help for someone in the standing section when he noticed they needed it. Support was Cian Ducrot and he was also brilliant. I had a great time.
Excellent concert, starting with Cian Ducrot as the supporting act, giving a great performance to warm up the crowd, followed by Teddy Swims himself, giving a stellar performance, including fan favourites such as The Door, Lose Control, 911, and Devil In A Dress, amongst a lot of others. Teddy Swims was on for about an hour and 45 minutes in total, going through two complete outfit changes at different points of the concert.
Definitely recommend seeing Mr Swims if there is a chance.
I will try to get tickets for his next visit, for sure.
Fantastic show, great support from Hamish Hawk.
With it being a Christmas show they upped the ante and had the red hot chili pipers on stage as they all played Mull of kintyre.
Scottish audiences are always great and this was no exception, a practically full house at the OVO got into the spirit and laughed, joked, danced, clapped, sung along with the as usually epic band, who played all their classics from their extensive catalogue culminating with the timeless why does it always rain on me. Will definitely be back at the hydro in the future, will hopefully catch Travis out on the road again before too long.
Great night, everyone loved it
Absolutely amazing as per. What a performer. So down to earth, unlike some performers, he sounds exactly the same live as he does on CD etc. Rhianne is amazing, first time I have heard her sing and cannot fault her at all. Good luck to her with Paul and the band and can't wait to see them again.
The script where absolutely fantastic, and so where the staff but the venue area wasn’t the best, for I am a disabled woman, who uses a wheelchair and I could not access the disabled toilet because able bodied people where aloud to just use the accessible toilet and I could not get in, therefore I had to wait, when clearly it was people who where able to use the stairs or lift to get to the normal toilets
I'm not a huge fan of big venues like the hydro, however, when a performer with the skill, class, songs and band that Nick Cave possesses, he fills the space effortlessly and with some considerable rock 'n' roll élan. A fantastic experience, and Nick & The bad Seeds played for well over 2 hours! Big music as it should be.
Fucking fabulous!!!
These guys are amazing live and they know how to put on a show!
Chad in my opinion is the best frontman ever. Superb voice, a showman and his sense of humour can be felt when he engages with the audience.
An amazing band and the best gig I have ever been to!
What an absolutely amazing gig! MammothWVH were fantastic, (truly amazing, by the way,) and one of their brilliant guitarists, Frank Sidoris, stayed on to play with SMKC. Slash's playing was outstanding, I mean, out of this universe outstanding,, Myles Kennedy was phenomenal, Todd Kerns was fabulous, moving all around the stage, both singing and playing, and Brent Fitz's energy knew no bounds. The genuine bond between these guys was abundantly clear and the atmosphere was fabulous. I couldn't stop grinning all night and I'll definitely go to see them the next time they grace Scotland with their presence.
Absolutely rockin!
Slash, Myles and the gang absolutely ROCKED Glasgow last night.
Rolling out banger after banger. Slash has accumulated a library of tracks that if he’d released them as part of Guns n Roses, the world would be falling over themselves to proclaim them as classics of the highest order, alongside tracks from Appetite for Destruction. But relatively few people seem to pay much attention. More fool them! And with Myles Kennedy’s absolutely glorious vocals and charm, it’s a joyful experience.
25/10!!!
She was phenomenal exactly what I had hoped for I adore this lady I was a little emotional as my mother used to play her music a lot and it brought me back to some of the happiest memories I’ll ever have so thankyou for putting a smile onto my face again I honestly feel brand new and my life is complete after seeing this incredible human xx
Amazing night been looking forward to it since May . The show set up was amazing all the back drops were brilliant . And Shania and her team were more than expected . Brilliant show. The organization in the building and staffing was also so organised and professional. Great night!!
I bloody loved it, it was remarkable, despite waiting till 20:15 since I went into the OVO at 18:30, thinking it would start right away, it was f***king amazing, I even got some cool merchandise at the end, it was absolutely brilliant and amazing. His performance of in the flesh, wish you were here, us and them, eclipse and sheep was the best bit of the concert in my opinion. Sadly didn’t go for the second day, wish I did.
Supporting act was amazing, post malone put his heart and sole into the performance and gave me an unforgettable night, just wish he came to glasgow more often, lights and special effects were awesome, staff were helpful finding seats, ordering drinks was a cool system (with the screen, wasnt much availability however and wasnt clear what stand was what for collection) security were helpful and helped you find the right entrance for sitting/standing, only issue I had was certain light panels came down it would block visibility of the main stage where postie sung a lot of his songs which was frustrating but it was only down for 3/4 songs, while waiting outside there wasnt much railing to form any sort of line so it was very congested so we ended up waiting on the grass till the line shrunk. But overall will definitely come back!
Excellent venue love the cure can't wait to see this band again in Glasgow last time in bellhousten Park was a better venue the security at the hydro are out of date some are like Sargent major old and think they can tell people what to do let people have fun get rid of older security please 🙏 the cure were at there best as always one song after another straight in to it no messing about the only bank like it we came to here music and none stop thank for a memorable night
Well worth the 2 Yr wait for this. Texas supporting Texas. What's not to like 😊
Cat Myers as the new drummer is amazing. Brings even more dynamics to the band and she is a badass drummer.
The gig was electric. Sharleen was on form with vocals as usual and of course plenty of real life stories and banter throughout it not a Texas gig without banter. ❤️
I absolutely love Danny and I’ve been a fan since I was 13, in the very early 80s. I am originally from Los Angeles so I have only seen the Nightmare Before Christmas shows at the Hollywood Bowl where it’s AN EVENT! My husband isn’t a fan but he went to support me. I was SO excited, we bought VIP tickets and everything. Couldn’t wait to see the show in my adopted country and show my husband the energy behind the live show. Sadly both the crowd and the show were nothing at all like the LA shows. In LA everyone gets dressed up, it’s a big party and the most fun you can have in an evening. In Glasgow the VIP bar was poorly thrown together. We had to wait as a group to enter because it wasn’t even ready when people arrived. It was a waste of time. Big round tables with some black cloth thrown on them, overpriced drinks, no decorations or anything that made it feel “VIP bar”. It was sloppy, people looked really bored. It would have been better to just get drinks inside the venue. All very disorganized.
The show was hard to watch. I thought Scotland would show its energy, most people sat down like they were going to the theater or something, very little energy. The stage seemed far too small for the way Danny perform as well as the violinist, Sandy Cameron who is an energetic, exciting and vibrant musician. She looked cramped and unable to perform in her usual way. The usual encore to the show is a treat for Danny’s fans because he comes out with his guitar and does an old favorite for fans of his music but he only did a different rendition of a song from the movie that was already performed so it seemed a bit of an afterthought.
I LOVE Danny Elfman and wouldn’t miss a show in my area and I make sure I’m in LA every Halloween in case the live Nightmare Before Christmas show is going to be performed. I’m glad I went to the Glasgow show, but I’m not sure why other people bothered, they didn’t seem to understand the idea behind the live event...
She truly truly knows how to put on a performance. Having her be so raw and emotional whilst so powerful is genuinely so inspiring. Wish I could redo it all over again.
I loved when he talked to us and she would have these happy, awed smiles sometimes that made my night. Ashley, Glasgow and I love you and please enjoy your break and just have as much fun as possible ❤️❤️
Even from the very back of the third level you could feel the vibe and utter command that Slipknot had over the place. I don’t like sitting at gigs but Slipknot didn’t lack in fun. Couldn’t get standing tickets at all what with presales so a bit disappointed there. It would have been cool if they did more dates in Glasgow so you could get a chance at standing.
