The show was ear candy, all the way! Both, Boostive and K Bong/Johnny C put on high quality, high energy & max positive vibes shows. So good! As this was my first show at Last Exit Live, I was immediately in awe of the sound production at this venue. What a treat!! At 52, I have seen over 300 “large act” bands play live in AZ, IL, WI, CO, CA, TN, LA, UT, FL, NV & NY, from Mel Torme to Metallica, and this may be the best sounding live music that I have ever heard. No shit. The staff was very friendly and equally accommodating. Beer was cold and inexpensive… what more can you ask of a performance and a host? Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend both bands and this place to see a show!!!
I’m not going to just review Fairy Bones in here. I’m gonna mention the whole night, all four bands. First up was Sattva. I knew nothing about them before going to the show. Afterwards I was able to find one song by them and the recording was great, but live they are so much more. They played about 6-8 songs and they were all just as good or better than the last. They’re someone that is now on my radar. I don’t know who reads these, but if anyone from The Wayback Sessions happens upon this - book these guys!
Up next was Ghost Moone, comprised of Travis and Jarred of Chrome Rhino with Daphne and her bassist (sorry. I don’t know his name) from Daphne & The Glitches and Bob, their producer, on drums. They recently dropped their first single and I loved it. I really wanted to see them perform live and hear some other stuff from them. It was all outstanding.
Next, Daphne was back on stage with Fairy Bones. A recent addition to the band, she was a welcome one. She had amazing chemistry with the lead singer and the rest of the band was tight and just plain fun.
Finally, Comptalo and The Humanughts. The flow of the lyrics mixed with jazz, funk, rock and rap is like my ears just ate a meal they know is bad for them, but they can’t stop.
Venue was small and cozy, was lucky to be practically right next to the music
Des Rocs was amazing, absolutely electrifying to see on stage. A total showman & a brilliant artist. Elvis & Freddie Mercury seemed to have blessed this man with rock & Roll godlihood. Truly a one of a king show
Amazing show
Des Rocs is such a great artist. Amazing music always amazing shows.
Greatest performer we’ve seen in the last two years. The venues and crowd amazing.
Christopher Shayne was so cool definitely have to see again.
Johnny G.
He sounds just as beautiful in person and he is such a sweet soul 💕🥹 I had the pleasure of meeting him and hugging him I only went to see him and it was fully worth it❤️
Have seen them before, top 5 artist in my playlist, but this was the first time with them headlining and it was superb. Venue nice and small, was not over-crowded, bartender knew my name and my drink specifics by the time I ordered my 2nd round, sound system was excellent for the venue and frankly, if you have not seen the PSquares go after it for a couple of hours, you are missing out. They brought Jarv out with them, he was legit, earned some new fans no doubt and they went after it for nearly a couple hours when it was their turn. Looking forward to the next time, people are sleeping on these fellas.
What a smoke show. Felt sorry for anyone that was recording this, never saw the faces of any members of the band. They sounded great but damn near died from the smoke. Didn’t understand the point.
I had an amazing experience with the Hourglass cats show. Live energy and great show presence. Enjoyed every hype inspired song. I cannot wait for their next show.
This review is for the US band Planck. Loved these guys! I’m looking forward to Planck’s next show.
The very last song of the set had special guest keyboardist Elliott Jackson Rauch andthey played a Talking Heads song. I have had Talking Head ear worms ever since the show and I love it.
I had a blast watching all three bands perform. I was not familiar with Filmspeed before seeing them live. I went for Chrome Rhino. Saturn III was the opener and they were awesome with their matching jumpsuits and stage show. Filmspeed came out and kicked off their set with a great energy. During their set I immediately went to Apple Music and downloaded their albums. Totally worth it. Then Chrome Rhino came out and just killed it. Overall, this was a great night with three really fun bands! Totally worth it.
I didn't see the show in Phoenix, I saw the Suffers in Tucson the night before at Club Congress. Excellent show! I hope I can see them again soon. Music was excellent, the band was tight and engaging, Kam Franklin's voice and stage presence were spot-on, and the set list showed off the band's range. Their show exceeded my expectations in every way! Please come back to Tucson!
These guys were great. I never had a chance to see them when they were officially still a band. I'm glad I got to see them during this reunion show. The Pubes and The Blood Feud Family Singers were great as well. Overall, amazing show!
Amazing live show. Been a follower for years but this is the first show I was able to attend, well worth it. A huge fan for life. Great job boys!!
So, yeah, not my favorite Jerry format, but a heck of a show! Will n Abe were both awesome, really liked Abe's set, and the sit-in by Will with Jerry was tight. From the Oil opener to the CTS to close, hot fire.
If you enjoy jam bands you need to check these guys out no questions asked. Top notch original songs and excellent musicians. Guaranteed great time at a Gow concert!!
Very grateful Kevin came through Phoenix on this acoustic tour. He's an amazing singer and songwriter. Always a must see. This acoustic show included storytelling about a lot of the songs he sang, loved it!
