It was so good!!! He was so good on stage and really funny. He also made time after the show to meet with us all and have stuff signed etc. 100% seeing him next year when he’s back 🫶🏻!!!
A truly awesome gig.
Jamie played a terrific set which was over far too quickly. He then played lead guitar with his father Peter for another great set.
Peter's voice hasn't changed since I saw the Only Ones back in 1979.
It took me right back to great times.
He played lots of stuff from the new album but also played " Another Girl, Another Planet " and " The Beast" which were phenomenal.
Jamie was again, great on guitar and the whole band were fantastic.
A really good night . Loved it
So glad I found out that Soul Asylum were touring and I got to see a band I first got into 30 years ago. Dave's vocals were still just as good, and a tight band that put on a great show. Really enjoyed it and look forward to hopefully seeing them again.
ARXX bring all the good vibes. Sweet conversation and tracks you can dance all night to. I had the pleasure of seeing them support MUNA and Fletcher and they hold their own at a headline gig! Will definitely be seeing them again!
The warm up - I forget his name had a good voice and very personable. I heard a comment that “it seemed that he had taken a brave decision to sing the same song ten times” Disappointing but maybe he’s at a low point….he should get back to his band where he had something.
Lissie, totally different, high energy, great voice, interesting story to tell and a palpable passion for her music. Something was missing - is it the lyrics? Not sure ..my jury is out.
Both obviously had a lot of followers in the audience who were getting what I wasn’t…..
Great small venue and the energy was great. The band were epic as usual and really engaged with the crowed. Great songs , great band , great support, great place , great crowd …. One epic night.
Absolutely a fantastic show had a great night out & I must say the sound system at the Marble Factory Bristol was spot on a great venue for great bands I highly recommend it I also went to the show in Exeter but it wasn't a patch on last night wrong venue( The Phoenix Exeter) & the sound was not up to standard so glad I decided to go & see Cattle Decapitation again & the atmosphere was electric
A wonderful night of live music spanning the 60+ years of The Zombies, a mix of the old and the new with some great renditions of their most famous songs (She’s Not There, Time of the Season, and an extended jam of Argent’s Hold Your Head Up) and several tracks from their brilliant new album Different Game, and some others in between. In fact it was the new songs that for me were the highlight of the evening. A song like Dropped Reeling And Stupid sounds like it has been around for ever, an instant classic. I would have loved the gig to have gone on longer but after 80 minutes those old guys (Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone are both 77) had given their all and were entitled to a well earned rest. Long may they continue rocking. They are true legends of the music scene.
A special mention for the support act Rogers & Butler who entertained us for 30 minutes with their melodic songs. A new act to me, but I will definitely be checking out their back catalogue, particularly the songs of Edward Rogers who has been around for a long while but somehow has escaped the attention he deserves. His journey is quite a story.
absolutely amazing atmosphere and gig. honestly can not get over how instrumentally talented all of punk rock factory are. huge hard style fan hear but punk rock are my thing booked tickets for October. staff at the venue were great well managed and everyone was super friendly, also amazing to see all the kids out enjoying the rock scene 😀
Wow! This show was an unforgettable and magical experience. The energy and love in that room was palpable. Sammy is just the most incredible performer, singer, song-writer and just a wonderful human being who connects with the fans (the friends) on a new level! They use their voice as if it were an instrument, one that is treasured and holy wow the range! The band are astoundingly good at playing their instruments. You can really feel how much fun they have on stage and it really translates to the crowd too. I will never forget it! 🤩🎷🥰👏🏼
First time seeing Anaïs Mitchell live and it was a treat... Focusing on her 2022 self titled release, backed by three musicians from that album - great songs and a solid performance ( I bought the album mid-set, so good was I finding the songs).
The night loses a star for no other reason than the venue and it's dismaying abundance of pillars throughout the fan space obscuring the view from almost any angle...looking at the age and design of the Fleece they're there to stay.
The acoustics were brilliant despite the metalwork.
This band just gets better every time I see them. This time was even better with Kim Churchill as supporting act - he was absolutely brilliant too. Certainly a rich vane of down under talent that is still to really breakthrough internationally. If you really want to enjoy some banging feel good toons performed by some talented, grafting musicians then you really can't go wrong here and Kim Churchill is a massive bonus. Keep up the great work guys we are loving it and looking forward to next time already
A great show in an intimate venue with a unique atmosphere in an old woollen warehouse in the centre of Bristol. With 350 people enjoying the performance, Ritchie said it was the only venue on their Tour that had sold out. I'm in my mid sixties and have seen many Bands in my time, but last nights performance was one of the most polished I've been to.These Guys are superb musicians and the sound balance was excellent, with Ritchie's Wife Julia completing the Show with some excellent bass playing. All in all a very memorable evening. Thanks to everyone connected with Smith Kotzen !
Outstandingly entertaining. Every face in the Fleece had a massive smile on it from start to finish. Everyone who lived through the 70s and 80s must see Tragedy at least once in their lives. Not to would be... well, a Tragedy.
Banging with Treason and Passionate
Friends. Sold out show, great banter and stories as ever. Were with a couple who hadn't seen him in this persona before haven't stopped saying how good a gig it truly was
Simply put. He’s only one of the best songwriters of recent years. Lyrics that are full of truths that sometimes may even be hard to swallow but with real emotion and feeling.
To see him live was a truly special thing and anyone in the position to do the same should.
You’ll miss out.
And regret it otherwise.
Phenomenal show as always, the boys definitely know how to put on a fantastic set.
I was bouncing all night, great diversity in their setlist too, everything from "we love you" to the new album "on fire".
Was great to see the new drummers in effect after Joe letz's departure, they did not disappoint!
Andy always knows how to get the crowd moving, such a great front man.
Also it was nice to have a quick impromptu meet and greet with Eric13 after the gig, strolling through the venue beer in hand, very humble awesome dude.
Until the next time!
The Band was amazing but the fleece wasnt great. The staff did nothing about queue cutting after some had been there for 10 hours + and the venue was problematic. A rough concert like champs meant alot of injuries in and out of pits and from surfers especially with the poles and security didnt help. But the band was great and even handed out water bottles to stop us from getting dehydrated. Would definitely see the band again but not at the fleece.
The show was absolutely fantastic. August Burns Red were a class act in every way. The support Betraying the Martyrs and Wage War were also top quality acts. I feel lucky to have seen three top bad bands on the same show.
Not a bad show, considering I’ve wanted to see Attila for two years I found them as a headliner a bit underwhelming considering Eskimo callboy were outstanding I think it could be down to the sound levels though as the vocals for fronz and guitars were waaaay too high which drowned the mix out but yeah will deffo go see them again no problem
