Danforth Music Hall

This is the first concert I've ever been to and I had the time of my life! This was probably one of, if not the best experience I've ever had! My dad used to listen to them in the 2000s and introduced me to them around a year or two ago and they've been one of my favorite bands since. I'd give anything to go back and live the concert through again, seeing them preform was absolutely incredible!! If you haven't seen them before I absolutely recommend it, their stage presence is super awesome!!

I love going into a show completely blind and not having any idea of what I’m about to see or hear, but this show was a little confusing. One minute I’m enjoying the show and having a great time, and the next minute I feel like I walked into a pride month event, then I go stand somewhere else, the crowd demographic shifts again, and next thing I know I’m surrounded by minors and I feel like I’m babysitting a bunch of kids. Despite the wide and confusing array of characters at the show, the performance was worth every dollar, except the fact that the headliner cut their performance short. That was kinda disappointing considering they were doing so well…. Would definitely go see Hanabie again if it was 19+ and in another city

The show was amazing. I didn’t catch Rebel, but both Sherwyn and Amber put on incredible high-energy shows. You can tell they put a lot of passion and hard work into performing and engaging with their audiences. I would give the show a perfect score, except for two things: A) the mix was too damn loud, probably the loudest show I’ve ever seen at DMH. I had ear plugs in and my ears are still ringing. From where I was sitting, the band’s mix tended to drown out Amber’s. B) Amber’s band was really talented, and yet it was disappointing that the backup vocals were pre-recorded. It’s a sad comment on the state of the music industry, where fatcat streamer execs, label owners and LiveNation shareholders rake in billions while the artists don’t make very much and can’t afford to pay all the musicians they need to properly perform the music we’ve all paid through the nose to come see.

Great band, great show, I like the idea of playing a full album, in this case Everybody Wants. Started off with some bangers and got audience going however there was a lull in the middle where it seemed the audience didn’t know the songs. Then a strong close with a great series of songs in the encore including a rocking version of We Will Rock You. All in all a good show, Luke knows how to gee up the audience. Saw them last year and have to say that was the stronger show. Only the first show of the tour so lots of time to figure it out.

From the moment they walked out onto the Danforth stage The Struts had the crowd in their hands. The energy level started at a 10 and never let up. They started off with the crowd-pleaser “Put Your Hands Up” and then continued on playing every song from their debut album “Everybody Wants” before taking a brief break and coming out for a 4-song encore. Luke is a master at getting the crowd jumping and keeping them engaged. Jed, Adam and Geth played brilliantly and were so fun to watch during the show. You can just tell these guys love what they do. Anyone who hasn’t seen The Struts live is missing out. Their albums are great, but their concerts are epic. If they are coming to a city near you… don’t walk… RUN to see them. You won’t be sorry.

You would be hard pressed to find a more entertaining live show. With moves likeJagger (actually way better) and fidelity and vocal range of Freddie Mercury, Luke puts on an evening of entertainment getting the crowd engaged like nobody I have seen since maybe David Lee Roth in ‘79 touring on Van Halen’s first album. The overall energy reminds me of the album Slade Alive. Never miss this band if they are in town. They should be one of the best in the world, definitely under recognized and Rock’s best hidden secret, other than maybe Greta Van Fleet.

Excellent venue with friendly, helpful staff. We were in Row NN 1 and 2 which were very comfortable but with little leg room. Unobstructed view. Opening act was a bit late getting on, but Kid Falcon is a great band. Sound was slightly off with vocals being a little under the music. The Struts put on a fantastic show. Luke Spiller is a top rate showman, constantly moving and performing at a high level. First night of the tour and the guys were clearly loving being on stage. Sound was good, lighting was spectacular. A great night.

It was Logan’s last night of tour and he even admitted to drinking beforehand to celebrate. He messed up the whole first song and kept asking what the next song was. A part I didn’t like is multiple times tell his guitarist that he pays him too much or he isn’t paid to talk to the people on the side of the stage. With all that he does have a good voice, and I enjoyed the songs and covers. Having fun and celebrating is important, just wish it was a little more tame.

OMG!!! This show was absolutely amazing! JoJo is SUCH an amazing singer and performer! Her musicians were great as well. As someone who has been listening to her since 2005/2006 (when I was in elementary school), it just was absolutely incredible to see her perform live and in person. I screamed “We love you JoJo,” and she said it back, which was pretty epic 🥰 The overall vibe at the venue was fun and hyped up (but simultaneously chill and relaxing), as well; the crowd had people who were singing to both her old and new stuff, which was soo nice to see / hear. I hope she enjoyed Toronto as much as we enjoyed her. And musically?! She is a rare talent. My goodness! The notes she was hitting?! And her energy was top-notch. What an amazing show by such an amazing and truly talented singer. A memory I will always remember and cherish for as long as I love. What a night ☺️☺️🩷🩷

The concert Wednesday night was awesome. They brought a lot of energy and it was the last show of the year for them. After 3 years of touring it was time for a rest. They went all out for this show and brought their A game for the Toronto fans. Played some new songs and their classic hits. This was an awesome show and the Ladies were really into it and brought a lot of energy. They were feeding off the crowd which meant the energy levels were off the charts. A show for the ages. Can’t wait till they come back bigger and better. Amazing musicians not to be missed. Thankfully I got to see this extraordinary show .

I felt I was witnessing the ascension of a beautiful musician who will definitely make his mark in the coming of age (finally) of aboriginal artists who have so much more to offer in this art form. His music comes from his soul and the souls of his ancestors. This was a beautiful concert and I was drawn to this venue because of Aysanabee and am so happy I was able to get seats even if they were far from the stage. I also had the privilege of having him sign a CD I purchased and could see him up close and personal. It was my birthday = what a gift. Linda Morel

Bittersweet to see the last Clannad show in Toronto. Clannad was one of the bands that defined my soundtracks in the 1980s and 1990s, and the crisp, tight playing of the band was on full display, with tracks spanning the fifty plus years that Clannad have been touring. Moya's voice was backed by Aisling Jarvis, Moya's daughter, who provided the fullness of the vocals for a number of key tracks and also played guitar and bouzouki. Moya, Ciarán, Pól were also accompanied by Paul Jarvis (vocals/keyboard) and Ged Lynch (drums). Clannad - you will be missed! I was glad to catch this opportunity.

Loved the show, but Danforth was the wrong venue choice for this show. The queue began at 7am and stretched on and on as the day went on, likely due to a younger fanbase more determined to get “good spots”, but this made it incredibly difficult to actually get in the venue, Opener Spilly Cave was energetic and fun despite only having two band members, but the crowd talked over them most of the time. Surprise openers Good Kid were phenomenal and had great energy. Lovejoy’s performance was amazing as expected, but the audience’s screaming almost drowned out the band.

The concert amazing, like always. Although, I think some of the songs were kind of 'slow' for a concert, but well, I enjoyed every single one because this is my favourite band. The venue, not as I expected, worst venue I've been to. I'm sure I got better seats when I bought tickets online, but we were seated very far away and they said that was always the seating plan (not it wasn't, I'm sure of what I paid for). I wish I could stand and not have to buy seats, but my party can't stand for the whole time, so I was stuck in a very uncomfortable seat and couldn't even stand for a bit because apparently I was disturbing others. So lame to be seated for 3 hours during a rock concert!

This was my first time seeing The waste in a club venue. This was my second time seeing the thrashpertise of these ripping genius' . my first gig was montebello rock fest, four years previous. Tony and his RVA brothers went off as usual. I really hope the fellas can make it to southern Ontario more often in the future. Would love to see MW , a wilhelm scream and belushi speed ball tour together. I think that would be one hell of shredfest imo. At the gates were incredible as well. I have a new found respect for these guys. They did not disappoint whatsoever!!! Solid thrashacre all around

John Paul White took the stage with an acoustic guitar and performed stripped down versions of his material. It was outstanding. This man is a talent. The songs from his latest album "The hurting kind" were absolutely beautiful. Using nothing but his talent, southern charm, and wit, he had me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for him to come back and maybe headline the show. I gave 4 stars because as the opening act he didn't perform enough tunes. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Loved his show.

Tiffany was great.. the show started a bit late but as expected. Venue was small but made it easy to get a close spot. Sound was good I only felt like it was too loud halfway through. I would’ve liked for them to keep the seats on the floor so everyone’s separate but it was still good. Nice lighting and production was simple. I would’ve liked a couple more outfit changes.. Show was short, only an hour and a half. Most of the songs were covers but i was still satisfied. She interacts a lot with fans which is so nice.

This show was killer!! Wax Trax! era Ministry - amazing! Great that Al and company were joined by Chris Connelly on stage. The band gave a super powerful performance. Al was in great form and still as entertaining as ever! Was only there for the live performances, regret that I didn't catch the documentary beforehand. Looking forward to watching it after that stellar show. Cold Cave were great too. Really good set and it's always cool to see bands open for the greats that influenced their style to begin with. All in all, a wickedly cool night!

Here the thing, bought tickets while in Chile months earlier. Never hear of the band but thought after a read interesting sound. Opening act ... nothing there. But CLD, freakin amazing... great orginal material, and cover songs were colourful tapestries of their former selves with a splash of creativity. Surprise appearance of Geddy was greatly appreciated and could not have picked a better song for the occasion. A very memorable night. And to think I almost missed the show due to a cold. Am paying heavily for the show now. Thanks Les & Sean. CLD Definitely on my radar.

Emily is always exuberant, and this show was no exception. They sounded great, the venue is ideal for a show where you have to dance, and the new stuff BLEW MY MIND. Dark Saturday live was incredible. Combat Baby has a special place in my heart, and i have only heard her do an a Capella version live; the full band rocking out for it was just so awesome. My only complaint would be people on their phones the whole time. Some girl right in front of us had her brightness all the way up and she was scrolling Facebook and group texting off color jokes. Was pretty distracting. More bands should. Follow Jack White's lead and start banning devices. But this gripe has zero to do with the band.
