This was a surprisingly awesome show. The two acts before Plack Blague were great too. Wished it had been on a Friday instead of Thursday just so I could've thrown down a little harder.
I never thought Id have so much fun at a very Emo, EDM, and a little scream-o thrown in to make it completely unique and fun. Will def do it again.
Joywave did not disappoint. The energy and talent was superb. For playing in an old, unairconditioned building, they never lagged in spirit and gave it their all. They sound just as good as they do on a CD or Spotify! Tempted to fly to San Diego to see them again this weekend!
Colin Stetson's performance at the Great American Music Hall was terrific, intimate, and powerful. He is a master of the reed whose ingenuity is matched only by his stamina. The reason I'm not giving this event 5 stars is because I was less impressed by the opening performance (Rachika Nayar) and the venue's sound quality (muddy af).
The highlight of the show was Stetson's 'The Six'. Despite the 4 star review, I highly recommend attending If you have a chance to see one of his shows.
It was great. Loved to hear songs from my college days again.
I saw Lush in the mid 90s and never thought I would hear them live again. So good to hear the songs including LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT which is a B-side song found on the Hypocrite single EP. One of my favorite Lush songs and they actually played it. So cool!
Taj at 14 years old is arguably the best blues or any guitar player we have in the country right now. He is a phenomenal guitar player and he receives the Atmos support from his family, which is important. I will see him again probably more than once anywhere he goes truly fine evening that I have not witnessed in many many months.M
One of the most unique and amazing performances from one of music's most accomplished free jazz saxophonist and composers. Seeing Dave Lombardo, John Medeski and John Zorn duel it out on thier respective instruments was awe inspiring. Highly recommend everyone see a John Zorn performance at some point.
Amazing show! Amazing group of bands they got together! The only gripe I have is with vocal mixing at the place. Could not hear vocals for many songs. This all tied to one particular event, and the band's audio part was great! More of a building/live mix issues.
Huge recommend! Katatonia always rocks!
Rosselini is delightful and warm in a quirky and interesting show. There were some rough spots technically: sometimes hard to hear her, some focus problems with the live camera, coordination glitches with the projections. Overall, it felt rough around the edges, which added to its charm. If you want something super slick, this is not the show. But if you want to see how to connect Darwin, animal expressions, and an Italian actor, it is.
All-in-all very glad to have gone.
The show was extraordinary and the people, overall were very cool and super nice but the venue, as beautiful as it was had no ventilation what so freaking ever meaning that it was almost impossible to withstand the overwhelming amount of excruciating heat. But other than that, it was a wonderful show.

Always consistent with the rocking and like every time I have seen HWM they absolutely conquer everyone's ears with their melodious roars, driving guitars and thunderous percussion. I have seen them in multiple states over the decades since their inception and love that they still bring it each and every time.
I have followed Ry since 1971 when Into the Purple Valley came out. I was floored. Still am.
All of these years, all of the times (many) that we have seen Ry and any band he was heading up or taking part in was an adventure into awe and appreciation.
Last night's show was the most intimate and moving that I've ever had the fortune to attend. I'm committed to being a Ryhead to chase his butt around the globe until I've gutted my mileage account or one of us dies.
What a delightful way to pass on........
The show was great! Smaller turnout than I expected, but it was a Thursday night. Beautiful venue, carved wood, pillars, very intimate. Felt like the cut the show a bit short. One song encore, Mr. Crowley! The show, the band was magnificent! So glad I went, even though it was Thursday night.
This concert was special. Although the sound wasn't balanced well for the intimate venue, the music was stunningly beautiful. It was memorable - seeing this trio still at the beginning of what may be The Voice's biggest and most sustained career launch ever - you won't forget that. Ever.
This was such a great show!!! Mordred had such a great energy last night, and you could tell they were happy being able to do a live show again. Every member of Mordred was 100% in 'the game'. Danny was superb as always. Loved watching Jim and Art playing their respective instruments. Jeff, such a great drummer, and Pause! Loved watching Pause doing his thing. And Scott! Wow, just WOW - what a great voice and such a creative performer. I hope that there will be more live shows to come for Mordred and all the bands out there.
Even better live than his recordings! Ethereal, powerful, and moving. A wall of sound. His band : exquisite. Flawless three part harmonies. It was alternately like being wrapped in a warm blanket and standing on a cliff with the sea crashing at your feet. Could not have been better.
Emma Ruth aka The Double Truth. If you don't know her, you're slipping. Know her and ain't seen her? You're lagging. Emma and her amazing band bring a much needed life to a dried up brain. Listen to the catalogue and experience the sober acid which is Emma Ruth Rundle and the dark horse she rides on.
I have no words except “are you kidding me?!” Roy was such a sick performer as always. His vocals were creatively integrated and he even continuously asked if the audience was doing alright. He seem very genuinely appreciative of his fans. At the end of the show he even came out and met all of the fans that were still waiting. I got a picture with him and some pretty cool merch with his signature on it. He was amazing.
Amazing! Such a fun show, We Came As Romans’ set was when I went in my first circle pit! I got to meet Crown again and they were so sweet, as always. They also made me feel better after the night before the show which was so sad. Erra and Shvpes were amazing too! All the sets were great, and every band I met was so sweet. I had so many friends at that show and met lots of amazing people. I hope to see any of these bands again!
