Tipitina's Uptown

Blue Widow from Baton Rouge kicked off the night and absolutely delivered. They were a great opener and set the tone perfectly. Then The Iceman Special hit the stage and took everything to another level. The place was packed with the die-hards and they were singing along to brand-new songs I’d never even heard before. The unique twist of the night was when New Orleans guitar legend Brian Stoltz (The Meters, Neville Brothers, Bob Dylan) joined the band. Trading licks with Iceman’s own guitar gunslingers, Will Murray and the Wizard himself, Steve Staples, was pure magic. Meanwhile, the swamp-funk rhythm section kept the whole thing locked in, driving the train while the guitars took everyone on an absolute mind-bending ride. If you’ve been thinking about catching The Iceman Special live, stop thinking and just go. They’re not just playing shows—they’re creating experiences.

It was so surreal to see her live!! I stood right at the front and the way the lights shined around her like a halo was so beautiful. The opener, Hana Vu was also amazing and got me properly hyped up for the rest of the show. I sang at the top of my lungs to every song, danced like crazy, and BROUGHT THE ENERGY for people around me.

Love the venue, loved the bands even more. First time seeing Shannon & the Clams and I will definitely see them again some day

This was a great show. I've seen PG many times over the years since I accidently discovered them and consider them one of the best jam bands out there. I don't understand why they don't have a larger following. If you get a chance to see them, go.

Varied and passionate. A bit to much atonal crashy guitar solos for me (it's a three piece. The rhythm section playa the same thing over and over and the guitar is just noise for like three minutes x5 songs). Which might have been more thrilling if it was louder... it was really quiet for shoegazy stuff.. When they weren't doing that, however, it was a lot of fun.

What a show! I got waaay more than I expected. Instant fan, brothers. I can't wait to bring my daughter to a show, I can't wait until the next time!

Unreal. I feel honored to have been there , this one will be talked about for years to come .

Great show! It had much better attendance than I guessed it would for this town. I liked The Bills as an opener, they really did a great job for a local act in support of the show.

These guys are awesome! Catch them if and when you can. They will be blowing up big time.
