The performance felt very uninspired. It felt as if they were going through the motions. Per the band, this was the second stop on their tour. The band may have been disappointed by the very small crowd; I would estimate it at 100 people. The band that took the stage prior, Mod Sun, brought the energy. It seemed that after Mod Sun's performance concluded, half to two-thirds of the audience left. Superfly, my personal favorite, did not make the setlist. Regarding the venue, Ace of Spades, it is intimate. The speakers were near ear bleeding levels, vocals seemed to be recessed and the stage lighting wasn't the greatest. This could have been a choice by lovelytheband (lighting) as we were basically watching silhouettes of the band.

The opening act was Kelsey Waldon and she was incredible! This show was the day after Leaving This Holler came out. Besides Hillbilly Daydream they played all my favorites. It was the fastest paced show I've ever seen. No more than 20 seconds between songs. 19 songs in total including an encore. The band was fun to watch, especially as they get to the stage of their career where they can headline shows from coast to coast. I just took a point off because it was a little too loud and the guy in charge of the stage lights seemed to be having some trouble. I'd love to see them in a larger venue sometime.

Would've been a 5 star show but sound guy must've been deaf as it was so loud most people had to go get ear plugs. The band put on a hell of a show and by far one of our favorite shows of recent date. Between them Silverada and the steel woods as the best bands out there right now. Just a bummer that our ear are in legitimate pain from the first 3 or 4 songs we suffered through before asking for ear plugs. On a positive note at least the venue had ear plugs we almost left it was that loud and painful.
