Fantastic band!
Tight riffs, great drumming and fantastic vocals! XIII is my favourite song and sounded amazing! I was lucky enough to get my photo taken with the lead singer, guitarists and drummer. They all seemed like down to earth, really nice people.
Cant wait to see them again. Please come back to the UK very soon 🤘🤘🤘
Great venue, superb band.So happy they played a lot of original songs as I'm a fan of Venom Inc, not Venom. My only gripe is, as it often is, that they had 3 support bands. When you have to travel into London means you have to leave the gig before the end of the set of the band you paid to see to get the last train out of London or you're stuck there for the night.
Very energetic performance from the band really enjoyed the show if you’re into the music and want a good night out i recommend you go cheers 🍻
My first time seeing them live ! They didn't disappoint. Nearly wasn't able to go due to injury and am on crutches. But staff and other punters were friendly and supportive. I've been 229 quite a few times, the sound is always great. I'm looking forward to seeing Gaye Bykers on Acid play later in the year.
What an absolutely amazing performer, brilliant singer and also very funny ! One of my all time live music favourites. Seen him 3 times in UK. Cannot believe he is not a huge star Also what a band he has around him. The 229 club is a great venue , just could just need a few more seats for its older audience members. Rock On, Steve Wehrle
Enjoyed our evening vrey much with Chris Farlowe, band too. Voice still strong.
Would have loved him to have sung 'out of time' A classic, for old times sake at the end. I'm sure all would have loved to have heard it.
A pleasure.
Absolutely incredible as ever. Exciting, exhilarating, and so near to the original Only Band That Mattered. It's like being transported back 45yrs. Can't wait to see them again
The final night of the Baskery UK autumn tour saw the band return to 229 where, in front of a crowd of diehard fans, the band delivered a performance of seismic proportions. Playing a selection of tunes from each of their five studio albums and a couple of classic Neil Young tracks, the band held the audience in rapture from the first note to the last beat. For an encore - as much to their surprise as ours (as a request came out of the blue they felt they couldn't resist)- they played the Slaptones (their former band's) single Please Don't Touch much to the delight of the fans.
HIghlights for me were Down By The River, Big Flo (Adios), Shut The Catflap and A Little Goes A Long Way.
Another tremendous performance from Baskery. Can't wait to see them again. Best live band around.
As always a superb show and a great line up at Mods Mayday - audience were great for Secret affair too everyone singing a long! A great night out!
Awesome band, great gig, can't wait for their return and a new album! Agent Side Grinder were also awesome, and the venue was great too. A truly memorable night!
Cosy venue, plenty of places to eat nearby. Brave Rival were immense, superb (not enough superlatives), a thoroughly enjoyable evening, in fact this has to be one of my most favourite gigs. Big River were supporting who are a new band to me but one that I will definitely be following from now on.
Great gig. First time I've heard the full Bite album performed live. Then after that they did a great selection of both old and new songs. Can't wait for the next concert.
Performance was phenomenal, the atmosphere was absolutely insane and there was such a good energy throughout the crowd the entire Gig. Definitely well worth taking the opportunity to go see these guys live 11/10 - they absolutely smashed it!! Cant wait to see them again.
Venue 229 is excellent. They even showed the England game before the concert. I think seeing an excellent band after an important football match is a good thing as they helped me try to forget the disappointing result. I have seen them before, but I had forgotten how superb the brass section are. They are all good musicians and they remind us all how good the Style Council songs are. " Long hot summer " even sounded brilliant on a cold winter evening.
After 10 years...I was so happy to see them again and it was worthwhile any second of almost 2 hours nonstop. Still the same energy, the same great perfect voice...I really look forward to seeing them again!
Awesome, as ever. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control, the support acts where unable to play. But Evergrey never disappoint. Nice venue as well, good atmosphere and great acoustic sound.
This band are absolutely first class.
I've seen them many times and they never fail to disappoint.
For me, one of the finest tribute bands you will ever see!.
So amazing to see the Howling Bells again after so long ! ( actually how good to be at a live gig again ) . Lovely atmosphere , they were as always great, so enjoyable to hear the first album again live , blissed out and still floating in that beautiful sound .
Never been to 229 before, first you meet the surcurity, very polite and helpful, bar staff were on the ball, the venue nice size and the stage is up high which is nice because I'm only 5-5. The subs themselves absolutely brilliant, the energy and speed they played the songs from another kind of blues lp was unbelievable, after that they just kept going, fantastic gig, with everyone singing WARHEAD the atmosphere was awesome, all the punks at the gig salute the UK SUBS.
Show was amazing Band were as always amazing. Some of the younger crowd members behaviour left a lot to be desired quite boisterous down the front quite intimidating for the females in the crowd
